It had now been a month since Veronica had moved to Los Angeles, and today was also the day before VideoVision's launch. To celebrate, Brian had invited everyone involved to a dinner party at his apartment room. Astra and Mary's mother, Thelma, was doing all the cooking, with her trademark brownie cookies. Brian said to everyone, giving the toast "Well, Everyone. We have worked very, very, very, hard to get this channel up and running. We have endured mean uncles, and worrisome execs, some even said we couldn't even get this concept off the ground! Everyone had almost no faith in us. But standing here, a year later, everything running perfectly. We have definitely proved wrong, right boys?"

Everyone replied with a rousing "RIGHT!"

"So, a toast to VideoVision, a toast to my beloved wife Mary, and my best friend Tom. You were the first person I met while I was moving to LA, and you were the kind soul helped get me a apartment. You're amazing!"

But then a short, blonde woman spoke up. "Everyone! Brian's lying! I..I went to the fortune teller the other day, and she says this channel will fail! She says that people with the zodiac sign of Aries will be unsuccessful this week."

Her boyfriend, Peter, A man in his mid 30s with curly brown hair and blue eyes said. "Sorry bout my old lady. She says the most crazy things!"

Brian replied with, "Well, maybe Astra does have a point. I mean, remember the skunk tail rug incident? You know, the incident involving the rug with the fur made from a skunk's tail? And also, this is going to be pretty hard, I mean, we need people to support the channel with cash. I mean, she could be right."

Astra interrupted again "Uh..everybody? I don't think Veronica's going to have that easy of a life...it will be marred with awful things happening."

Thelma rolled her eyes at her daughter. "Oh, Astra. Surely you can't be serious! You are such a pessimist. Veronica is destined for the stars! I can tell from just looking at her! She will go far, won't she?"

Brian replied. "She certainly will, Ms. Nightingale."

Veronica wasn't too bothered by Astra's remark. She was obviously just a worrywart. A believer in superstitious fantasies. The rest of the dinner party went smoothly, helping another apartment resident, Carrie Foreman with the washing up. Bill was also having a good time at the dinner party, hanging out with Sarah, who he had developed a crush on. Sarah, likewise had a crush on Bill. But here's the problem. Neither Sarah or Bill had the guts to admit their feelings to each other. Every time they tried to spit it out, they'd chicken out and never spit it out. Bill knew he loved Sarah, but he never could tell her he loved him. After all, she was the first girl Bill seriously had a crush on.
