"And this is your room, Ronnie!"

The room had pink wallpaper, a bedside drawer, a piggy bank, and an alarm clock were on the white plywood surface. Assorted issues of seventeen, Young Miss, Creem, Circus, and Hit Parade were all over the floor, and Mary would often badger Sarah about cleaning her magazine covered floor. On another drawer, Babe cologne and love's fresh lemon perfumes were sitting on the white plywood surface. Posters of David Cassidy covered the walls. It looked like a teenaged girl's paradise. But there was just one problem. There was only one bed. "Uh.. Sarah? Have You Noticed There's just one bed?"

Sarah replied. "Uh...yeah? Maybe I'll ask Brian later if he can get the sleeping bags from the basement."

 "Oh boy.."

"Come on! I had it much worse! When I first moved here, I had to do the same thing! Luckily, I got this bed a week ago from the proceeds of Brian's double job at McDonald's."

"Jeez, this place.....is gonna take getting used to."

Lily and Sarah went downstairs to have an afternoon snack when Lily got back from her piano practice. Lily was a quiet girl with Blonde hair she kept in a ponytail. She preferred to play music on her piano rather than do hobbies the average teenaged girl would do. She seemed to think she was way too intelligent for that stuff. Lily said to Brian as he was waiting for her near the doorway. "Greetings. I just got back from my dance class. Anything going on?"

"Well, what on your thoughts on having two more people your age to hang out with?"

She shrugged. "I don't want anybody else living with me. Why?"

"Because I just hired the finishing touches for VideoVision. Their names are Veronica and Bill. Veronica's 14 and Bill's 17. They seem to be good picks so far. Veronica's a little shy, but I'm pretty sure we can mold her into a breakout star. Then, more people will watch the network, and people provide the channel with cash, and then we get rich!"

"Look, I never said I wanted a houseful of people my age. I pine for the days when it was just me, you, and Mary. I don't want this. I don't. I don't want to have to share things with whoever these kids are! I'm not sharing a room!"

Mary sighed. "Look, Lily. When we took in Sarah, you didn't complain. You two got on like a house on fire. You were almost like sisters. Also, you're sharing a room with a boy now. That should make you happy."

Lily sighed. "Well it doesn't. I never said I wanted a boyfriend! I'm not ready for one! You're trying to make me get one, are you?"

Brian said. "No we're not. Bill would have to sleep in the bathroom if he wasn't going to share a room with you. Now calm down."

Lily went to her room in a huff.
