Veronica, Bill, Brian, and Tom eventually arrived in Los Angeles a few hours later. Brian lived in an apartment on the bohemian side of town. It would be very different from what Veronica was used to because she had only seen people like these on TV, and dad always told her that hippies were. "Scum." 

Mary greeted Brian with a "Hello! Who is this kid you brought home? Don't tell me you kidnapped someone for ransom!" 

Brian said, giggling. "Oh, come on! Her name's Veronica. She decided to come here on her own. I got permission from her dad and everything." Humorously facepalming.

 "Honey, I was only joking with you!"

 "Well, sweetheart, I'd like you to set up a new sleeping space, because Veronica's living with us!" 

Mary replied. "Oh my god, Do we need another teenager living with us?" 

Brian replied. "Well, there is another one, Bill." 

Mary responded in faux rage. "Ok! But I will tell you this-BRING IN ONE MORE TEENAGER AND! I! WILL! GO! CRAZY!" 

Mary was a tall, aristocratic-looking woman in her mid-20s. She had shoulder-length blonde curly hair parted at the center. She had a finely chiseled face, curved eyebrows, light blue eyes, and curved eyelashes. She was quite a beautiful woman, and it was no wonder Brian married her. Just then, A slender beautiful girl with long, brown hair, a pale face, round eyes, and beautiful features ran down the stairs. She looked like one of the popular girls who hated Veronica's guts at her old school, which she had recently unenrolled. So this girl said to Veronica. "Hello, I'm Sarah...Boy! I did not know we had two new people living with us. PLEASE tell me I don't have to share a room."

 Brian replied. "Sorry, but Veronica here's gonna have to share a room with you." 

"Awwww!" 

"Veronica, my name's Sarah! Mind if I give you a tour of the apartment?" 

Veronica said. "Certainly!"And she and Sarah went on their way.
