March 1 1981

Meanwhile, Brian, Flash, and Matt were hanging out while watching tv. Just then, Flash heard a scream. "Brian? I think a cat just fell off the roof."

Brian sighed. "Thank god none of us own cats. Somebody would be crying their eyes out about that poor thing."

The three continued talking until Matt heard a knock at their door. A familiar voice said. "Brian! It's me! I'm safe!"

Brian could not believe his ears. Sarah was alright? He gleefully ran to the door, opened it, and hugged Sarah so hard that it hurt a little. "Sarah! You're ok!"

Matt was especially happy to see Sarah. He was smiling from ear to ear. Flash couldn't help but shed a tear at the sight of this touching reunion. He asked. "So, where were you?"

Sarah explained. "My mom kidnapped me. I was stuck in a closet for quite a while. My mom wouldn't even let me leave to use the bathroom. I was forced to go to the bathroom on the floor. You would not believe the smell." Matt winced in sympathy.

Sarah went on. "The smell was so bad that I vomited a number of times. I wasn't even allowed to eat."

Brian stared at Sarah's emaciated figure, heartbroken that she looked so unhealthy. He told Flash to make her some nuggets as she lied down on the comforter. She was just about to drift off when she heard Tiffany knock on the door in a panic. "Brian! Brian let me in! Something just happened!"

Brian opened the door for her, and she looked visibly shaken, her hands were trembling, and she sounded like she was about to burst into tears any minute now. Still, seeing Sarah safe and sound brought her a small hint of happiness, if only for now. "Sarah? Where were you the past two weeks?"

Sarah said to Tiffany. "I was kidnapped by my mother. I haven't eaten in awhile, as you can see. Can you tell me what's happened."

Tiffany broke down. "My-my uncle's dead."

Matt replied. "He died? From what?"

Tiffany replied. "I think he was pushed through a window. I think it was Tom's."

Flash felt a bit guilty about joking that the scream that he, Matt, and Brian was a cat.

Brian was flabberghasted. "I thought Tom would never do such a thing! Sure, he was a bit of a dick at times but he isn't that bad!"

Tiffany replied. "That's not what I was trying to say. But somebody must've done it. I'm guessing it was some sort of intruder or something."

Sarah embraced Tiffany in a long hug. "I'm so sorry."

Everybody was still reeling from Vincent's death when all of a sudden, Mrs. Talbot ambushed the group with butcher knife in hand. Tiffany said to Sarah. "Oh god! I must've forgotten to lock the door! Quick! Hide behind the sofa!"

Brian and his friends weren't as lucky. Brian was stabbed by Mrs. Talbot several times, and as soon as Sarah heard Brian's anguished grunts, she felt frightened, and very worried for her lover's safety. Just then, Flash had an idea. He hit Mrs. Talbot over the head with a frying pan, and he was knocked out almost instantly. The rest took this chance to escape before Mrs. Talbot got to them too. As she was leaving, she saw Brian, unconscious on the floor looking pale as a ghost. She knew she could not live without him, and he looked like he was going to die any minute now. She decided to take him out of the apartment so that she could call an ambulance to help him, if he was still alive. As soon as she escaped with Brian, she saw Tiffany hyperventilating, and she hugged Sarah as soon as she could. "Sarah? Is Brian alright?"

Sarah put Brian's unconscious body down, and checked put her ears near his chest. His heart was still beating, so that meant he was alive, at least for the moment. Sarah sighed in relief. She said to Tiffany. "He's alright, at least for now. But it doesn't look like he'll make it." Now pretty much everybody in the apartment building had noticed what was happening, and they were gathered outside Brian's apartment, hoping that he would be alright.
