2 months had passed, and it was now 1980, a new decade. For everyone at VideoVision, the new year seemed like a new start, erasing all the mistakes of last year and beginning on a clean slate. Everybody was pretty optimistic, especially Veronica. She had never been happier living in California, and VideoVision was doing splendidly. Sadly, for Astra and Peter, things were not going very well. The two had just had a huge fight and neither was talking to the other. Peter tried to break the silence. "Hi, Astra. What's shaking?"

Astra sighed. "Peter. Stay the fuck away from me. I don't know what we're gonna do about this. It's a given that we're gonna break up."

Peter, shocked after Astra's prediction. "Surely you can't be serious. I couldn't have done anything wrong, right?"

Astra replied. "Look. You never give me any space to be me. I'm a human being too and you know that. Your expectations are so unrealistic. Their impossible to live up to."

Peter replied. "Honey, It's just that you're weird, ok? And weird is not cool! Do you know how many times my reputation has been ruined because of your antics?"

Astra replied. "I do not embarrass you. In fact, my friends like that I'm so eccentric. And don't call me weird."

Peter replied. "I'm just telling the truth. I'm honestly so sick of you. The only time I like you is when you're stoned."

Astra sighed. "Why don't you like me? Because I'm a bit eccentric? What's the problem with that?"

Peter replied. "Look, I don't want to come off as rude for this, but your antics have costed me friends, a social life. Remember when you made that bogus prediction about Veronica having a hard life!"

Astra sighed. "Honey, you know my predictions are always right! I remember when you didn't treat me badly because of my quirks. I remember when you liked that I was a witch. But look at us now. We can't even stay in the same room because we loathe each other so much."

Peter sighed. Astra was probably right about their relationship. But it was too late to fix anything now. He kissed Astra on the cheek, packed his things, and left the apartment which he and Astra shared, possibly never to return again. Astra turned on a Pink Floyd record, and cried.
