Ethan looked about ready to kill me after I called him a mosquito, but I didn't care. He deserved it for purposely giving me a hickey without my permission. He knows I hate them, yet he still did it just to be a dick.

"That's a relief, I didn't want any competition," Henry said as he let out a massive sigh of relief.

"Competition for fucking what?" Ethan spat out furiously as he leaned forward on his seat.

Henry scratched the back of his neck awkwardly. "Well, I kinda have a thing for, Mia...," Henry said as he looked over at me with a soft smile.

My eyes widened in surprise, and I hadn't a clue on what I should say. I hadn't exactly had a long line of guys lining up to ask me out, so I had no clue how to reject someone. That was Chloe's expertise, not mine.

"Look, Henry..." I started to say before I was immediately interrupted.

"How can you claim to like her when you've never even spoken to her before today, huh?" Ethan scoffed. "Do you have a thing for her or a thing for her body" he snapped accusingly as he rose to his feet.

Henry's eyebrows rose in shock, and he opened his mouth as though he was going to say something, but no words came out.

Then out of nowhere, his face hardened, and he looked up at Ethan in annoyance. "No offense man, but why the fuck are you even here. She doesn't even like you," Henry snapped rudely.

Ethan let out a harsh chuckle, which sent a shiver down my spine. He stalked over to Henry in two long strides before he grabbed him roughly by the collar and ripped him off the sofa and onto his feet.

"Look dickhead, I'm going to say this nice and slow so that you can understand," Ethan hissed in between gritted teeth. "Leave Mia, the fuck alone," he spat.

My heart skipped a beat, and I wasn't sure if it was from surprise or because seeing Ethan all riled up was kind of hot.

"What's your problem, you're not even together," Henry said in a confused shaky voice.

Ethan scoffed. "Are you actually that thick? She went to the kitchen with a bare neck and came back with a hickey, you do the math," Ethan spat rudely.

Henry swallowed harshly and looked up at Ethan with frightened eyes. "L-look E-Ethan, I had no idea. I would never intentionally go after your girl," he stuttered out nervously.

Ethan stared at him with a stone-cold expression. "Just get the fuck out," he snapped bluntly.

"Ethan, there's no need to be nasty," I yelled.

"N-no, no, it's fine, it's fine. I get it," Henry stuttered as he scrambled to his feet and practically ran to the door.

I watched him leave with my mouth parted open in shock.

As I heard the door swing closed behind him, I swerved around to face Ethan. "What on earth was that? If you're mad at me, then get mad at me. Don't take it out on random people," I shouted.

He let out a bitter laugh. "Yeah, typical Ethan, taking out his anger on random people just like his father," he bitterly spat.

I looked down to the floor in guilt, remembering that was one of the many cruel things I had said to him.

I swallowed and lifted my chin. "Ethan I..."

"What else was it you said to me?" he laughed. "Oh yeah, I remember now. You told me I was a broken, violent, nasty piece of shit," he yelled.

I widened my eyes in panic. "And I swear, I didn't mean any of it! None of that is true, you've got to believe me," I begged as I looked at him in desperation.

His eyes softened, as they flickered between my own, but then they hardened once more "Yet you still said it," he snapped before he stormed out of the room.

I flinched as I heard the door slam loudly behind him.

"Ugh, why do we even have to go on this pointless trip," I moaned.

Despite the fact it was a Wednesday morning, Chloe May and I were not going to school. We were driving to school, yes, but we wouldn't be attending any lessons. We were being forced to go to some weird bonding camping trip, organized by the school to build on those important 'teambuilding skills that we'd need at college.'

If you ask me, I'd say they are just looking for an excuse not to teach any of the seniors.

"Sorry, would you rather sit through a boring geography lesson or something?" May scoffed.

"Point taken, I'll shut up," I said quickly.

We finally arrived at the school parking lot. There were coaches parked outside the school waiting to take us to whatever shithole they called a campsite.

All three of us got out of the car and dragged our suitcases over to the coach. When we went to take our seats, I noticed there weren't many double seats left, meaning we were going to have to sit apart. May quickly jumped into the seat next to Lucas, who I'm guessing probably saved her a seat while Chloe took the space next to April.

With a heavy sigh, I moved further down the coach, heading for an empty seat that I could see in the distance. As I got closer, I realized it wasn't just any seat. It was an empty seat next to Ethan.

It had been about two weeks since our argument at my house, and he'd been persistently ignoring me ever since. There was a high chance of him saying no if I asked to sit next to him, but I figured it was worth a shot.

"Mind if I sit here?" I asked quietly.

I noticed two girls across from us snicker as I said that, and I looked at them weirdly out of the corner of my eyes, wondering what their deal was.

Ethan just slowly nodded his head, not even dignifying me with a proper response. I almost fainted in shock.

I can't believe he didn't say no

As I flopped down into my seat, I heard one of the girls sat across from me whisper. I could barely make out exactly what she said, but I managed to latch onto her last few words, "he wouldn't let me sit there, why her?"

This made me arch my eyebrow up at Ethan in intrigue. He clearly couldn't be that mad at me if he was willing to be bus buddies with me.

"Aww, Ethan, were you saving this seat for me," I teased as I playfully poked his shoulder.

He shot me a dirty look before getting out his earphones and placing them in his ear.

Okay, or maybe I was wrong, he still seems very mad at me.

About an hour later, and I was still sat on the coach bored out of my mind. Ethan was still stubbornly ignoring me and was just staring out the window while he listened to his music.

He was so weird, one minute he's threatening Henry for asking me out and the next he's ignoring me. Does he hate me or what?

Suddenly, Ethan ripped out his earphones angrily and turned to face me. "Would you stop staring at me?" he snapped.

"Why?" I smirked, deciding to be annoying.

"Because you're making me uncomfortable," he complained.

"I'll stop staring at you if you engage in a civil conversation with me," I bargained.

He scoffed. "I regret letting you sit here," he snapped before putting his earbuds back in his ear.

After an excruciatingly long trip, sat next to Mr. Miserable, we were finally here. I rushed to get my seatbelt off, so I could exit the bus and actually talk to someone who didn't hate my guts.

I immediately spotted Chloe's blonde ponytail in the distance and made my way over to her. As I got closer, I realized she was also with May and Lucas.

"There you guys are," Chloe said with a smile.

I was confused as to why she was using plural, but then I turned around and realized Ethan was right behind me.

"Have you guys resolved your lover's spat?" Lucas said as he wiggled his eyebrows.

Ethan responded by giving him the middle finger.

"Meow. Someone is catty today." Lucas said sassily. I let out a loud snort of laughter, not being able to help myself.  I swear there was something severely wrong with that boy.

Before anyone could say anything else, the teacher in charge of the trip cleared her throat.

"Attention students, we're going to be sorting out cabins, so would like everyone to find a partner of the same gender," she said with narrowed eyes.

"Well, there goes that dream," Lucas mumbled bitterly.

"I guess, that means you and me little E," Lucas said with a wide grin, as he wrapped his arms around a very unenthusiastic looking Ethan.

May, Chloe, and I all made awkward eye contact as we realized we were an odd number. Luckily, April made the decision way easier and hopped up to Chloe and asked to be her partner.

"I guess that makes you my roomie," I said as I smiled over at May. The teacher then started to talk again. "Now, everyone disperse and make your way to the cabins. There are three double rooms in each cabin," she said as she gestured for everyone to leave.

We all grabbed our suitcases and rolled them towards the shabby looking cabins. I agreed to share a cabin with Lucas, Ethan, Chloe, April, and May. I wasn't exactly thrilled to have Ethan in my cabin since things were still tense between us, but it's not like we would be sharing a room or anything, so it probably wouldn't be that bad.

When we entered the cabin, it opened out into a large open space room. I assumed it was supposed to be the living room space as it had beanbags and sofas and such. There were also three doors, leading to each of the shared rooms as well as a joint bathroom for the six of us.

I quickly bagsied a room for May and I by dumped my suitcase on to the bed. Then I quickly headed for the toilet as I was desperate after a long three-hour-long journey.

When I had finished, I went back to the room and stopped dead in my tracks. Ethan was sat listening to music on the bed next to mine.

"Erm...What are you doing? This is my room...," I drawled out in confusion.

Ethan let out a long and heavy sigh before looking up at me.

"Not anymore, it's our room now," he retorted bluntly.
