Mischa's POV

When I woke up I pretended that nothing happened the night when I begged Heaven to kiss me, I hoped that a kiss can make her remember me but it didn't. It hurts so much that she declined when I told her to kiss me, I tried my best to act nonchalant but my eyes betrayed me when my tears started to fall, It hurts more because I know that she only kissed me because she pities me. I'm experiencing all the pain that I caused her when she's so in love with me, karma's really a bitch.

Today is a busy day because the whole student org needs to set up the auditorium for a concert. The higher years are gonna perform by course, it's a concert for a cause.

When I arrived everybody's busy with their task. I searched for heaven and saw her sitting on the mixer area.

"Pres, what's my task?" I asked her while tying my hair bun style.

"Help Maggie with the microphone and wires" she said while pointing to her direction.

"Maggie? What is she doing here?" I asked her frowning.

"She joined the club. What's wrong?" She asked me confused.

"Nothing. I'm just surprised" I said and stared walking to her direction.

She's not surprised when she saw me.

"Good morning" she greeted me flatly. I didn't respond, I started putting the microphones on their stand and checked if it's fine. She didn't talk to me afterwards, we did our tasks in silence. After an hour I decided to talk to her when I remember what Heaven told me at the beach.

"Why did you tell to Heaven that she fell in love with you?" She's obviously shocked when I asked her that. She must have thought Heaven won't tell me.

"Nothing, I just feel the need to" she said as she started putting the wires on the corner.

"Need to what? Annoy me? Take advantage of Heaven's condition? Maggie you know that we fought be--" she raised her hand in front of me to stop me from talking.

"You being judgmental and jumping into conclusions made Heaven like that. Never in my life I would take advantage of the person that I loved" I'm hit by what she said. I calmed myself and sighed.

"Then why do you have to tell Heaven that lie?" I whispered when I saw that is looking at us.

"You know Heaven. She's persistent, if I didn't tell her that I'm the girl that she fell in love with do you think she'll stop looking for her?" I didn't respond.

"She won't right? What if she'll found out that it's you what will you do huh? She'll be devastated. All she knows is that her mind and heart only longs for King, she also knows that your her brother's girlfriend. You said you already gave her up to King. I'm helping the both of you here" she said in annoyed tone. What she said is true, I suddenly felt guilty and ashamed for confronting her, if there's one person that cared so much to Heaven aside from me it's her.

"I'm sorry" I said while shaking my head.

"I know you love her but it's too late now, Unless you're gonna make up your mind and fight for her but the way I see it there are lot of things that's been holding you back" I admire the toughness that she's been acting right now. I smiled, a genuine one.

"Yeah a lot of things, it's hard to be in my place" I muttered before helping her with the wires.

"I'd do anything to be in your place Mischa" what she said made me frown.

"Why? We're the same now" I said snorting.

"No we're not. I know Heaven was not convinced when I told her that I'm the girl. The mind forgets but the feelings don't" she said sadly while touching her chest. I tapped her head to comfort her.

"Thanks Maggie. I know everything's gonna be alright" she laughed and removed my hand on her head.

"Enough of this. It's creeping me out that we're like this" what she said made me laugh as well.

"Thanks again" I said before running to Heaven's direction.

"Hey!" I called Heaven's attention.

"Hey too" she greeted me and gave me a simple smile. She's busy doing the slides on the laptop.

"Are you fine?" I don't know why I asked that. Maybe because I can't think of anything to say.

"Yes of course I'm fine" she said confused by my question.

"Maggie and you seem to get along" she added while typing the lyrics.

"Yeah, she's a very good girl. You're lucky she's your best friend" I said smiling.

"Yeah" was all she said which made me frown. I was about to talk when she left me and headed to the plug area.

"Weird" I said and read the lyrics that she typed on the laptop.

"You are my sweetest downfall... I loved you first, I loved you first" I sang the song and smiled afterwards. That song used to be my favorite. I pressed the down arrow to read the next line.

"Fudge!" I exclaimed when the whole lyrics disappeared. I suddenly became nervous because I don't know what to do. I'm not good in computers.

"What will I do" I asked myself nervously. Everyone's busy even Heaven, she'll get mad if she found out that I deleted everything accidentally.

In the end I decided to just call her because the time is running and it's already getting late.

"What is it?" She asked me while wiping her sweated face.

She looked hot. I said mentally.

"Mischa" she snapped at me frowning.

"Oh. Uh... There's a problem" I said stuttering.

"About what?" She asked me anxiously.

"Uh...I... I mean I didn't mean to... I mean--" she put her hand on my shoulder to calm me.

"Mischa don't be nervous. What is it?"

"I deleted the songs that you typed. I'm sorry" her eyes widen and reached for the laptop to check it.

"I'm just browsing the slides and suddenly it was all gone. I'm so sorry Heaven I really do" I said anxiously, she's not talking to me. She's busy doing something while frowning. She must be really mad. I sighed and waited beside her.

"It's fine now" she said after a while.

"For real?" I asked her in disbelief.

"Yeah. It's in the recycle bin, I restored it already" she said chuckling.

Fudge. Yeah the recycle bin why I haven't thought of that? My mind said.

"Yes!" I rejoiced and hugged her.

"As a reward I'll answer your questions about the past truthfully" I said and winked at her. I think it's fine to tell her the things that she needs to know, not the major ones of course.

"No need" she replied flatly. I'm perplexed by her answer.

"I thought you want to remember things?" I asked her frowning. She smiled and shook her head slowly.

"You're right when you said that there are certain things that don't need to be questioned. There's nothing I could wish for, I have King, David have you... This is the best part of my life. I'm contented with this, I don't need to remember the past. Let bygones be bygones and let's move on, I need to move on" she said happily. I can see on her eyes that she meant every word. She killed me emotionally and mentally. Just when I'm ready to help her she changed her mind. It hurts but I need to respect it.

I'd do anything to be in your position.

I suddenly remember what Maggie said. I shook my head and smiled.

"Okay. If that's what you want I'm fine with that" I said flatly.

Trust me Maggie, you'll take back what you said if you're in my shoes right now. I said mentally.

I flinched when my phone alarmed.

Buy food for Potchi.

"Who's Potchi?" She asked me frowning. She read the note on my alarm.

"It's a dog, our--- my baby" I said hastily.

"Oh you have a dog. I never thought you're into dogs" she stated, she continued typing the other lyrics.

"You're judgmental on that part" I chuckled.

"Well yeah sorry, I'm not into dogs" again I frowned.

"Huh? Why? They're so cute" I said hastily.

"They're messy and requires much attention" I never thought I would hear her say that. She love dogs before or maybe she just did that for me.

Everything for me... My mind said.

"Anyways I'm going now. I'm gonna buy food for her. Bye" I didn't wait for her response and walked out of the auditorium fast.

"Potchi's our baby" I muttered while shaking my head.

I'm staring to the gown that David bought for me, it's so elegant. A black fitted gown with a high slit on the right thigh. It's his birthday as well as King. I don't know why but there's a part of me that doesn't want to go to the party.

I flinched when my phone rang.

"Yeah?" I answered lazily. It's Heaven.

"Are you getting ready? Want me to fetch you?" She asked excitedly. I smiled.

"No, I'm fine. I know you're busy. I'll see you at the party" I said before hanging up. I sighed heavily as I stood up and started wearing the gown. I don't really have the appetite to attend but I don't have a choice, my parents would be there as well. After an hour of preparation I'm done. I didn't put on much make up.

There are lots of visitors when I arrived, I frowned when I saw the design of the function hall, it's like a concert. There's a wide screen on the stage and the photos of David and King rolling. I laughed, it's like they're having their debut.

"Mischa" David welcomed me, she's with Heaven and King. I kissed all of them on their cheeks.

"You're pretty" I winked by what she said. She's pretty as well wearing a marine blue dress. We chatted for minutes before someone interrupted us.

"Hello" a beautiful blonde girl greeted us, she's not familiar to me. I'm sure it's the first time that I saw her. She's wearing a bright red long sleeved fitted dress, the neckline is so low that it emphasizes her cleavage. She looked so sophisticated and stunning. If I'm a man I'd totally drool, she's the kind of a woman who you'll get jealous if you saw your boyfriend with her.

"Ginger!" King walked closer to her and hugged her tight.

"I didn't expect you to come here. I mean you're in Paris" he said before kissing her sweetly on her cheeks. I gazed at Heaven, she's just smiling. I rolled my eyes by her reaction, she should be jealous because her boyfriend is flirting with a beautiful girl.

"Of course I'll come here. It's my best friend's birthday" she said then winked seductively. I'm annoyed by what I'm seeing so I coughed for them to notice us.

"Oh sorry, this is Mischa Lewis, David's girlfriend" he started,

"Hi" she greeted me, I faked a smile and greeted her back.

"And this is Heaven, the one I'm talking about"

"Hi" Heaven greeted her while waving her hand.

"Oh hi, you're pretty. Just what King said" she said while nodding.

"Told you" King said chuckling. They all laughed but not me. The way she touches King annoys me, she's a flirt.

"This beautiful girl here is Ginger Vera. We became friends when I was in Paris" he explained.

"She's a successful Engineer/Architect in Paris. She designed and built the Villa in Muscha Cay" he added.

In fairness Pepper's Villa is very beautiful. I said mentally.

"You don't have to say that" she said while poking King's arm.

"You did a great job on that love Ginger" Heaven said politely. I snorted mentally.

Wait, I heard that name before.

I thought for a while, I snapped my fingers when I remembered.

"Are you from Philippines?" I asked her all of a sudden. Her hair is blonde and she's a mestiza, I wouldn't figure out if Alessa didn't tell me.

"Yeah, I'm surprised you know" she said perplexed. They all gave me a questioning look.

"Well let's just say I'm good in guessing" I said hastily. The irateness that I felt for her a while ago was gone the moment I figured out who she is.

Alessa was right she's damn gorgeous. I said mentally while gazing at her.

"Indeed you are very good" she seconded. I gave her a genuine smile.

"May I call your attention ladies and gentlemen" we all looked at the stage. It's their father.

"Tonight is the birthday of my two son, let's give them a round of applause" everybody clapped their hands and started to greet David and King.

After that they were both called on the stage to give a short speech. As usual King was a joker, I don't like him for Heaven but I appreciate him as a man and a brother of David.

David led me to our table, he left me because they need to greet everyone.

I took a piece of apple and ate it while observing everyone, they're all happy but why don't I feel the same. I saw my parents talking to others, they just greeted me when I arrived. I shook my head. It's a birthday celebration but the atmosphere smells business. I asked the waiter for a wine, I glanced at my watch, it's a bit early to eat. Once in a while people will head to me and will greet telling me that David and I are perfect with each other. I played with my wine while waiting for David to come back.

Everybody stood up and started to dance when the song of Mariah Carey played. I closed my eyes as I listen to the lyrics.

"Yeah. Sure" I said reaching for his hand.

He led me in the middle of the crowd where King and Heaven were dancing. Her face is resting on King's shoulder, they're so close.

"I know, and you're handsome birthday boy" I whispered back. He chuckled and kissed my ear which made me giggle. That's when I saw Heaven looking at me intently.

I gave her a sultry smile which she returned back immediately, that made my body shiver. The way she looked at me is different tonight, not her usual.

Great the lyrics were speaking right through me. I averted my eyes to others when King kissed her cheek. He's really a spoiler, he turned around to face me and smiled at me afterwards.

I rolled my eyes at him which made him laugh. Heaven and I lost eye contact until the song ended. David and I stopped after three songs. My feet hurts because of my 5 inch high heels. I sighed in relief when the emcee announced that it's already the time to eat.

The dinner is already finished and I haven't seen the siblings, before the dinner they're still around chatting to other visitors. The lights went out as soon as the waiters cleaned the tables.

"Excuse me ma'am" I looked upward and saw the manager.

"Yes? What happened? Why did the lights went out?" I asked him confused.

"It's part of the celebration ma'am, please come with me and sit in front" he said as he reached for my hand to assist me on standing up. The crowd is confused as well as me. I don't know what's happening, why do I need to sit in front when it's not my birthday celebration.

"Please sit ma'am" the manager said politely, I nodded before sitting. The sound of Yiruma's kiss the rain started playing. I suddenly became nervous. I really don't have an idea on what's happening, David and King should be the one who needs to be surprised not me. I flinched when I heard the sound of the mic.

"Good evening everyone" the crowed cheered when the lights was turned on.

David is sitting in the middle of Heaven and King while holding an acoustic guitar. My eyes averted to Heaven, she's holding a crystal violin, she winked when she noticed me looking at her. That made me blush, I smiled back at her and waved.

"Well since it's mine and King's birthday, allow us to sing you all a song as a gratitude for coming here" he said while pointing his hands to King's direction holding an electric guitar. The people clapped their hands including me. This is a good show.

So this is the reason why I'm instructed to sit at the front. I said mentally. Heaven holding a violin makes her look hot, she's a very talented girl. The background music stopped as he spoke again.

"There's also another reason why I'm in the middle, obviously I'm the one that's gonna sing and I dedicate this song for my one and only Queen. Mischa Lewis" the spotlight focused on me as well as the eyes of all the guests. Once again the room fell silent as he strummed his guitar with a familiar tune.

I can't help not to feel touched and proud at the same time. I know he's not bad in singing but I didn't expect it to be this good and soothing. I glanced to Heaven's direction, she's busy with her violin, her long delicate fingers pressing the strings. Her finger that once entered my body. I shook my head when I realized what I'm thinking.

I can feel that he's singing the song only for me, every word is full of love coming from him but I don't feel the same anymore. I touched my chest and closed my eyes.

All I can see in my mind is Heaven. Kissing me, hugging me and caressing me. I'm head over heels for her, she got me whipped without her knowing it.

I opened my eyes when he reached the bridge of the song. He's looking at me Intently when I gazed at him, I gave him a simple smile to tell him that I appreciate what he's doing. That's the least I can do for him now.
