Y/n pov:

Sitting on the floor in my glass container, I waited for my breakfast to be served.
Yes. Breakfast. I had no idea why he was serving me breakfast. Dottore must not know I'm a demigod, or else he would've known I don't need food.

But why was he planning on keeping me alive?

I stared into the glass, the small hint of a reflection stared back at me. She looked so hopeless.

Yin and Yang stared at me from the other side of the glass. They had become skinny, enough so that I could see their rib cage.

How many days had I been here?
I think it was around five days by now.

I had no idea what happened in the outside world. Time was different in Teyvat in real life than in the game. Maybe Aether had defeated the Electro Archon by now.

"I'm sorry..." I said in a low voice, looking Yin and Yang in the eyes. They should've stayed in Inazuma.

Yin whimpered. He stood up on his back feet and started scratching the cage he was in, wanting to get out.

Yang however was laying down, probably exhausted by hunger.

I knew what Dottore was doing. He wanted me to watch them slowly die in front of me didn't he?

Was he testing me? Was I a part of a small experiment at this very moment?

Could I bargain my way out of this somehow?
I had nothing to offer...

The mechanical door opened. I was still sitting, my back turned towards the door. The usual fatui agent walked in with some bread.

There was a small box on my container, with two small entrances. He opened his and placed the bread inside the box, then he locked it again.
That's when I heard my entrance being locked open by some mechanism, indicating that I could take the bread now.

Then he left. I sat still on the floor, staring at my two dying friends. I had no way to give them the food they desperately needed.

A sad look placed itself on my face, I leaned my head back and looked up into the roof, silently praying.
Somebody. Anybody. Help us.

As a demigod I felt weak. I didn't even know if I had powers. I didn't feel high or mighty.
And I didn't feel worshipped by a single person, which is the bare minimum for a demigod.

Maybe I could be the god the animals needed, since they seemed to like me.
I stared at Yin who was still clawing at his cage.

My eyes met his and I felt something. It felt like a spark.
Not metaphorically... an actual connection.

Maybe I could be the god they needed.

Almost as if my body was taking control over my mind, as if I didn't choose to do anything, it started moving.

My hands placed themselves parallel to Yin's paws. We looked at each other. Yin stopped clawing at his cage and just stared at me.

I could see from my side vision that the tips of my fingers were glowing slightly. Not any big light, just a small glow. Due to it, I could see a few of the veins in my fingers.

I had no control over my body. Everything was happening on its own.

Then, my eyes suddenly closed and I felt as if I was fading away from my own body.

I felt breathing. Not my own, but somebody else's. It was strange. I couldn't feel my own body.
The eyes I were looking through opened although I didn't do open them.

The way this body felt wasn't humane. It was animal-like. I heard a fox whimpering, then my eyes widened as I realized it came from this mouth.

Through these eyes, I could see the glass container from another point of view. My own body was laying inside it, it was frozen in the same state it was when I left it. Hands on the walls. However my head hung low, and my eyes were closed.

That's when I realized... I had entered Yin's body, and was currently sharing it with him.

It took a moment to register, but soon enough I felt a tinge of hope.

Yin and Yangs cage wasn't complicated to open.

"Yin?" I asked him in my head, hoping for gods sake he could understand me.

He tilted his head and then squeaked in happiness, causing me to mentally chuckle.

He twirled around excitedly. Could he fully understand me or was he just happy to hear my voice?

Oh well, doesn't matter. What matters is that this could get us out.

"Yin, I need you to look at the cage lock"
I tried to communicate.

Yin looked towards the lock immediately and tilted his head in confusion.

"Yes that's right, get closer to it sweetie." I encouraged him.

He walked towards it and looked on the outside of the cage, where the lock was. Between the bars, I could tell his paws would fit through. His face could probably fit as well, however he was muzzled, which got in the way.

"Now this is important... put your paw through the bars, right under the lock."
I tried to explain. He seemed a little confused as first. However it felt as if he could read my mental picture of what I wanted him to do.

And so he put his paw through the bars, under the lock, which caused it to push slightly upwards.

"Yes yes, good boy!" I praised him. He squeaked in happiness.

"Now your other paw over that one..." I pictured it in the my mind. And again, he was able to see what I meant.
He placed his other paw over his first one, causing the lock to raise more.

"Well done!" He seemed to have gotten the picture, because without my command, he kept raising the lock with his paws.

Eventually, it was completely upside down.

"Try to see if you can fit your snout through the bars to push the lock to your left." I explained, mentally crossing my fingers and hoping it would work.

It wasn't a lot, but I could feel his nose touching the lock. "Well done, just a little further." I encouraged.

And then, the lock slid open.

Yin yelped happily.

"Well done Yin, good boy!" I praised him.

Yang noticed the open cage and stood up.

Yin and Yang jumped onto the floor. Yang started looking around, as if he knew what he had to do.

"Yang will look for a way to let me out, Yin, I need you to find a way to open the door." I told him. Both of them started exploring the room.

I managed to get out of his mind and back into my own body. It would be better if I stood up to look around as well, from a higher view.

I stood up. Yang jumped onto the table.

"Yang, my vision!" I exclaimed. He looked towards it and picked it up with his mouth.

I looked at my container. Then I gasped, "Yin, get over here and help you brother!" I called for him.

If they managed to put my vision in the food box, I could get it. However the box was a little too high up.

I looked towards Yin again. "Hey here, let me tell you what to do." I called for him. He looked towards me as he understood.

Soon enough, I had entered his mind again.

I looked through his eyes. "That rolling chair in the corner, push it over to my container."
Yin understood and called for Yang to help him.

Both of them trotted over to the chair and started pushing it.

They pushed it to my container.

Yang jumped up on the chair and in front of my food box.

Yin ran to the table and hit a button, which unlocked Yang's side of the box.

I left Yin's mind and went back to my own body.

"There there, good boy..." I encouraged Yang as he put my vision in the food box.

I smirked as grabbed it from my side.

Holding my vision in my hand I smiled widely as I felt our connection grow back. I was right, the glass broke the connection from before.

Looking around me, I tried to figure out what to do next.
How to break out...

I sighed as an idea came to mind, however... it wouldn't be a very fun thing to do...

"Hey Yin, Yang. I'm going to need you two to find a way to fill my container with water." I explained to them.

They tilted their heads and went around the room. I looked around as well.

"Hey there!" I called, pointing to a lever on the wall next to the button Dottore had used a few days ago to drain the water.

"Try to see if that'll do it!" I told them.

Both of them ran over to the lever. They jumped up and grabbed it in their mouths, pulling it downwards.

I waited a few moments, hoping something would happen.
Then I heard something in the floor below me.

The holes where the water drained to were sealed now.

I sighed as I felt water pouring into my capsule.

I tried to control my breathing and not to panic.

Yin and Yang yelped and started screeching and clawing at my cage. I looked down at them. "It's okay you two, if this works out I'll be out of here." I told them. They looked sad and laid down, curling tightly into my capsule as if comforting me.

The water raised above my waist and then above my shoulders.
I waited for it to completely fill my capsule.
I felt my heart speed up. Was I starting to panic? No I couldn't panic, then this wouldn't work out.

The cage went above my chin, I swam up to the roof to get the last breath of air.
"Never thought I would use science from school." I said and took a deep breath before the capsule was completely filled with water.

I held my vision tightly and activated it.
I froze all the water in my capsule. It felt cold and suffocating.

However, I could see the glass on my container starting to crack. I smirked.

I remembered one time back in my past life...
I was young and wanted some ice. I had used a glass and filled it with water with a fork inside and put it in the freezer. When I checked it a few hours later, the ice was there but the glass was shattered.

Ice takes more space than liquid... learned that in school...

That's how this idea came to mind.

The container cracked more and then shattered.

Yin and Yang yelped and ran across the room, running from the flying glass and ice shards.

The weight of the ice brought me to the floor and shattered as well. I was out.

I took a few deep breaths. And rubbed my arms from the cold.

I chuckled as my plan had worked perfectly.

Yin and Yang ran towards me happily and jumped at me.

I chuckled and held them tightly, hugging them.

I sat on the floor with them in my hands. I was panting slightly after holding my breath.

My smile faded as I heard the mechanical door open.

"I knew there was something more with you." Dottore spoke.
