y/n's pov:

"Hannah too," I showed Millie his story and she shook her head, ready to deny it. "Millie, it's okay."

"I should've never told you." She shook her head,

"If you hadn't, It would've hurt me more to hear about it from the news," I smiled, turning to Noah. Me and Millie had told Noah everything about Hannah, despite the fact that Millie was red the whole time, feeling extremely guilty. Noah had agreed with me, It wasn't okay and Louis should've told me about her before he left her for me (at least that's what we know)

"Let's watch a movie before you have to go on your big date tonight." He teased

"Stop calling it that."

Noah was already turning on the movie, a smug and annoyed look on his face.

I was already dressed in a skin tight black dress, and I had adorned my wrists and fingers with jewelry. Louis was supposed to be here in an hour, but I didn't want to take my chance on being late. He was particularly really excited about our date tonight, although I really couldn't understand why. It was a pretty restaurant, sure, but he was way more excited than that type of level excitement.

"Oooooooo let's watch harry potter!" He suggested,

"I can't, I'm watching it with lou." I frowned, grabbing the remote from Noah who was back into his usual horrible posture whenever I mentioned louis. He was my boyfriend.. What else was I supposed to do? Call him pineapple? "How about You've got mail?"

"Sure."

Millie got up from the bed and whispered, "I'm gonna go get water. Need any?"

"No."

"Nah, I'm good." I smiled and waved her goodbye. The credits of 'You've got Mail' started to roll in and both of us watched it while I sang along to the theme song.

"I'm gonna go get some snacks. I'm starving." Noah exaggerated and I smiled, "I'll get you some fruit."

I threw up a middle finger as he laughed and shouted 'JUST KIDDING!' from the stairway.

Louis' Pov:

I was going to tell her I love her tonight.

I love you,

That's so basic.

You mean the world to me and I love you.

Cheesy. Unoriginal

I love you.

Three words that might be easy to say, but I'm not just going to throw them around to anyone I know. I have to really feel it for that person. And I do for y/n, I'm one hundred percent sure of it. Today was the day.

I hope I didn't stutter.

I walked out of the car after debating whether I should actually tell her, and finally deciding.

"Louis!" Mrs. Watson called from the garden, she was pulling out the last of her vegetables. "Oh, you look fantastic." She grinned, and I checked my tie.

"Thank you, Mrs. Watson,"

"I've already said you can call me Emma," She giggled, "Y/n's inside,"

I nodded and started to walk through the front door, which led to the staircase to the second floor. I was going to do it.

Your pov:

"You're back! And with food." I sighed as Noah  came back with handfuls of chips and candy in his hands. I was pretty hungry.

He threw a doritos bag in my direction and I caught it, smirking and opening the bag.

"You didn't pause the movie!" He pointed at the tv that was halfway into the movie.

"We've watched this together at least like 7 times." I laughed,

"Remember that one time we watched it..." He started, making me turn red.

"Noah!" I shouted, pretending to slap his face jokingly. He staggered back dramatically and popped open his chocolate milk. He was referencing about the time that we had just started dating, and we made out literally through the whole movie. It was weird to think about it now.

"Y/n?"

Louis. Shit.

I sat up and looked behind me to see Louis standing there in a perfect black suit, and his hair slicked back. "Lou!" I grinned, putting down the doritos bag and going over to him.

He looked down at me and I could tell his smile was forced. I wrapped my hair behind my ear and looked back at Noah, who was focused entirely on the movie. I slightly smiled and turned back to him.

"Can we talk?" he said, grabbing my hands and pulling me out of the room and into the hallway. We walked to mum's art room and he closed the door behind me.

"What did you wanna talk about?"

He glared at the door before meeting my eyes, something in his eyes that I couldn't comprehend.

"What were you doing with Noah?"  He asked quietly.

What?

"We were watching a movie together."

"Alone." he whispered,

"Uh yeah alone." I shrugged, leaning on the desk.

"Were you guys kissing or something?" He chuckled, looking out the window.

"What?"

"You're always spending time with him. I mean, I've barely spent any time with you this week."

"It isn't entirely my fault. You were hanging out with your friends too."

"I wasn't hanging out with someone alone." He emphasized. Okay, he was being a jerk right now. Overprotective or not, this is jackass behavior.

"We were just watching a movie!"

"Yeah, alone! And based on your past, I really don't think he'll try and miss the chance to f-"

"What the hell? We're just friends! Noah would n-never do that!" I stumbled across my plain words, making even me doubt it.

"Come on y/n, I see the way you two look at each other."

"Oh, you wanna talk about Noah." I scoffed, "Well then, let's talk about your other girlfriend. Or should I say ex? Sorry, I can't really tell anymore."

"What?" His voice lowered, making me scoff again.

"Hannah."

His face paused and I crossed my shoulders, walking back to the door. I was done with him.

"Y/n wait," He started, walking up to me and cuffing my wrist,

"Get off of me!" I glared, and he didn't let go.

"Get your fucking hands off of her!" Someone shouted, and I realized it was Noah. Noah.

Louis' slowly unraveled his hands away from me and looked up into those hazel eyes, that for some reason had taken over my life completely, and with no announcement. I was never supposed to fall in love with him. I wish he had let me sit down in that tea shop. I was never supposed to be his.

"Y/n, I'm sorry." I could see tears start to fill his eyes with regret but I couldn't bring myself to speak.

"Louis-" I felt tears come down my eyes too. "I'm sorry."

"I think you should leave, partridge." Noah warned,

He glared at Noah, "Just leave us alone, Noah. You've spent enough time with her."

"Louis, leave." I whispered, grabbing his shoulders but he had already left to go to Noah.

"The next time you see a pretty girl on the street you can go date her too. Y/n was just another girl to play with, huh? A game?" He scoffed, making Louis start to rage up again.

"I would never do that to her, and you know it."

I walked behind Louis and said, "I'll talk to you later." I whispered, scared my voice was going to crack and I would start to cry out obnoxiously. What had just happened? "Louis, please."

" I'm so-"

"Goodbye, Louis." I acted out a smile and slowly trudged to my room.

I couldn't believe it. This was all my fault. I did this to louis, I should've apologized for not hanging out with him. But at the same time, we were both at fault.

Tears were now streaming across my face, I hid my head under my pillowcase, my makeup running down my cheeks beside my tears. Where was Millie? Where was someone to comfort me? Where was louis? Or noah? I was starving. Our dinner reservation. He was so, so excited. I ruined it.

"Y/n? I'm sorry I didn't see you come outside with louis. I was helping your mum with the garden," I heard Millie sigh, out of breath. She stopped pacing and ran over to me, "Wait what's wrong?"

I raised my head from under my pillow and a gasp left her mouth as she saw my wretched face.

" y/n what happened? Was it Louis?"

"I-" I started, but the next few words came out in sobs.

"It's okay, I get it. It's okay, It's going to be just fine." She rubbed my back and laid down next to me. I sobbed into her pretty dress, making it all covered in makeup and tears. "Now calm down," She got up and grabbed a hershey's chocolate bar that Noah had brought. "Here,"

I smiled and took it from her, sitting up and slowly eating it through.

"Will you tell me what happened?" She asked once again and I swallowed the bit in my hand.

I told her everything. How I felt about Noah, how I felt about Louis, why louis was mad, why I was mad.

"Wow." She sat there, taken away, "I'm so sorry."

"Nah it's okay. I'll get over louis."

"What?" She gasped, "You guys haven't broken up!"

"Uh- I don't think I can ever speak to him again."

"But- you have that kissing scene with him next week!" She grinned and I shook my head, "You guys can't break up!"

"I'll be talking to tewks. Kissing Tewks. Not louis."

"No, you'll be kissing Louis AS tewksbury."

"How can I talk to him again? He probably feels like a jerk-" I rolled my eyes, "which he is,"

"Yes, I'm all for hating him BUT!" She began, "he loves you."

"He loves Hannah." I joked away, trying to relieve the pain.

"Y/n,"

"I'm gonna try to rest." I smiled, turning off the tv and turning my back on Millie.

"Night," I heard her shuffle around and close the door, leaving me alone in the dark. I felt like going on my phone, and scrolling through tiktok.

A little humor doesn't hurt anyone, especially when you feel like you're on the verge of having yet another crying session.
