~Y/N's Pov~

Natasha Romanoff

Me:
Why the hell did you do that yesterday!? James didn't talk to me the entire ride back
(10:14 am)

Natasha Romanoff:
I told you, I just wanted to have some fun. On a side note, I'm glad you finally texted me ;)
(10:20 am)

Turns out, I was way on the edge to text Natasha yesterday after the date with James. I couldn't talk to her again, I felt way too many emotions. Angry, embarrassed, flustered and an other emotion that makes my cheeks turn red and hot. But, it's 10:22 am right now and I finally texted her for the first time ever. I had to build courage up to send a message, because I'm still mad at her. I have a feeling in my gut that tells me I can't get rid of her, so I'll have to make things right with her. I have to make her my friend so that she'll stop embarrassing me and that she won't tell anyone that I'm Midnight.

But first, work.

-

I got dressed into my bartender clothes, the white shirt with the buttoned up pull over. I've been standing here, giving the poeple their drink of choice for about four (4) hours now, that's until my phone rang. I quickly pass the cocktail to the woman before turning around and getting my phone out of my pocket. I look down to who's calling me, it's Steve, the chief of the organization for spies. I quickly walk to the corner, making sure theirs other bartenders to help the poeple before I answered.

"Sir?" I question. "Y/N, we need Midnight" Steve strictly orders.

I lower my phone from my ear. I haven't heard that in a while, I'm so ready for my next mission. I already start smirking and brought my phone back up to my ear. "I'll be there in five (5) minutes" I reply sternly before disconnecting the call. I look around the bar, it's packed with poeple, but I'm sure the other bartenders will take care of it. I'll be gone without them even knowing it.

I quickly hop over the table and run out the bar. I run as fast as I can towards the parkinglot and grab my helmet that's on top of my motorcycle. The second I hopped on, I started riding to the headquarters.

...

The second I got to the headquarters, I jumped off my motorcycle, placing my helmet back down. I run down the secret pathway and quickly let the face scanner scan my face. The iron doors open and I quickly jog down the hall to the chief's office. I slow down as I stand in front of the double doors. In the other side of these doors are the most powerful man, Steve Rogers.

I clear my throat before knocking on the door. I heard a muffled 'come in'. I followed the order and slowly open the door. I peak inside to see Steve sitting on his chair, he leans forward as he sees me. I quickly step into his workspaces, closing the door behind me. He's wearing his usual suit with his hair and beard neat like always.

"You wanted to see me, sir?" I ask, slowly walking towards his desk. He nods, "Take a seat" gesturing towards the chair opposite side of him. I quickly sit down, crossing my legs and putting my hands on my lap.

"I have a solo mission for you, Midnight"  Steve noted sternly. A solo mission sounds interesting. "A bunch of women are being held hostage in the basement of Paradise NightClub by the owner and his bodygaurds. Your job is to rescue those woman, then our spies will handle the rest to take them home and take care of any injuries" Steve explains. "Pietro has everything you need to know in a file. Go study the file today, then tomorrow you'll go save those women" He adds.

-

I eventually got the files from Pietro and immediately scanned through it once I got home.
I'm sitting on the couch, looking through the mission files before there was knock at the door. I furrow my eyebrows, wondering who it could be. I stand up and walk to the door.

"Hey, missed me?" The raspy, yet teasing voice of Natasha asked. Immediately, I responded "No" and closed the door right in her face. I'm still mad at her. I turned around, prepared to go through the files again before she kept knocking on the door. I groan, strolling to the door again. I open it once again to meet her smirk. She has a white short-sleaved blouse on with the top two buttons undone, revealing a tiny bit of cleavage. Her black pants comes all the way down to her feet where her black open shoes are. For the last touch, her blouse/shirt is tucked in under her belt.

"What do you want?" I ask, leaning against the door. "I wanted to say sorry for behaving like a child yesterday" she apologized sternly. She acted more like a toddler I'd say. That doesn't make up that she almost kissed me tho. "Fine yeah, you're forgiven. I'm busy with work right now" I speed talk, trying to close the door before she place her foot in between it. I pull the door back and sigh.
"Spy related stuff?" She ask, raising her one eyebrow. I reply with a head nod. "Can I help?" She ask. I furrow my eyebrows. She must be dumb if she thinks I'll let her help me with a top secret mission. Plus, I still don't fully trust her, she is an assassin after all.

I hum while thinking. "Come on, I won't kill anyone" She whines. I sigh. If this is the only reason how she will quit bugging me, then yes she can. I fully open the door and step out of the way. She smirks before entering, me closing the door behind her.

"So? What we working with?" She questions, turning back to me. I frown. She sure does look intrigued and excited for this. Does she really want to help?

"A bunch of women is getting held hostage under the club named Paradise NightClub. I have to go rescue them tomorrow" I tell, walking over to the living room while she follows me like a lost puppy. I sit down, patting the couch next to me. She sits down too. I reach for the files on the small coffee table and bring it up to her.

"Here's the files of the mission" I open it and we both peak in.

I actually didn't get a chance to finish reading the files through, so I'll do it now. The file basically says everything that Steve already told me. I just have to think of a plan to get down to the basement and knock the gaurds out. Maybe I can use a Nano Mask to transform me into one of the bodygaurds to blend in.

"Paradise NightClub, huh?" She mumbles, backing up from the files. I took it as a sign that she finished reading through the files and closed it. I look back to her, her staring at me with a frown. "I know how to get down to the basement" Natasha announce. I raise my eyebrows. She might actually help me.

"I used to go to this place every Friday Night. I know where everything is" she adds. Should I take her with me? Steve said this is a solo mission, but he won't know. Plus, I could use Natasha's skills.

I turn my body to Natasha, "Natasha, if you don't kill anyone, then you can come with me if you want to" I offer. She tilts her head and replies "Fine"
A small smile grew on my face before I thanked her queitly.

"Awesome, come at my house around 7 pm, we'll go from there" I say.

For the past hour, we went through basic plans on how to get in and get out with all the women safely. It's going to be hard, but with my stealth and brains, and with Natasha's fighting skills, we can do it. I know this is a bad idea to let Natasha help me with this, a Spy and an assassin, who would've thought? I have to learn to trust her. For tomorrow, Natasha will be my side kick.
