~Y/N's Pov~

Yelena and I ended up sleeping at the hospital and during that time, we've gotten closer and got to learn about each other. I explained to her how Natasha and I met. I told her about me being a spy and my truce with Natasha, surprisingly, she took it well and thanked me for being her sister's friend. And I did put me and Natasha's gun away, we can't really walk into a hospital with a gun. The doctors told us that we could've gone home since Natasha isn't awake, but we didn't. The only things we heard about Natasha is that she barely made it. When I heard that, I almost began crying again at how grateful we are that she's alive. But it was so close....

-

"Miss Belova, Miss Y/L/N" A soft voice woke me up. I lift my head up from a soft surface, flickering my eyes open. That's when I realized I fell asleep on Yelena's shoulder and her head was resting against mine. I guess that's what happens when you sleep on hospital chairs in the waiting room. "Dr. Banner?" Yelena ask softly, we both still waking up. Doctor Bruce Banner is standing in front of us with a smile.

"Sorry to disturb, but Natasha is awake if you two want to go visit her"

I know Natasha uses a fake name wherever she goes, but it felt right giving her real name to a doctor. I'm just glad Natasha's awake, but the doctor's words kept replying in my head, 'she barley made it'. Natasha is my best of friend that I never had, I hate to admit it, but... I don't want to lose her. It all started from when she almost killed me, then made a truce, to now where we're actually friends and help each other. Side by side, Yelena and I follow behind Dr. Bruce to Natasha where she's located. The doctor opened the door for us and left us alone with Natasha. She lifts her head up once she heard the door close behind us.

I clench my jaw once I made eye contact with her. Yelena and I stand each side if Natasha. There was awkward silence before Yelena broke it by chuckling and shaking her head. I lift my head up to Yelena, seeing tears fall down her cheek. I soften my eyes and look down to the hospital bed again.

"I thought I'd lost you" Yelena mumbles quietly, while wiping her tears away. As Yelena and Natasha talked, my hearing disappeared as I thought...

'She barley made it' Fuck, I hate those words so fucking much. It won't go away, it's stuck in my brain and it's playing on loop. I should've been the one shot! I should've been the one lying on this bed!
I bite my lip, preventing me from crying and take a deep breath in.
"Well honestly, I'm fine. We can go home-"

"What?" I ask, all of the sudden getting my hearing back as I heard Natasha says she's fine. She's fucking been shot, how can she recover in only twelve (12) hours. I raise my head up, both of them looking at me. "Natasha, y-you're not fine" I stutter, looking straight in her soul as tears filled my eyes. I take hold of the hospital bed's side rail, tightening my grip around it. "It doesn't hurt that much, I'm leaving the hospital today, Y/N." She responds softly. I furrow my eyebrows, looking at her like she's dumb. "Natasha! The doctor said you barley made it! That can't mean you're Fine!" I sobbed, tears rolling down my eyes. This is embarrassing, them just keeping queit as I cry in front of them.
I tilt my head down, shutting my eyes tightly.

A cold hand snakes up to mine on the railing of the bed. I look down to see Natasha's hand on mine, slowly rubbing her thumb across my hand.

"You're right" Natasha practically whispers. I look up to her, ashamed that I'm crying in front of them. "The doctor said you lost a lot of blood too, that's when I stopped believing" Yelena adds shakily. We look at Yelena who's giving us a weak smile and a single tear drop rolling down her cheek. "I'm just glad you're okay, Natalia" Yelena smiled and look back up at me, "We both are" she looks down to Natasha again. I watch as Natasha's other hand grips Yelena's too, now holding both our hands. "Cheer up you too, you won't get rid of me that fast" she teases with a smile. I chuckle out a cry, shaking my head.

"Good to have the real Natasha back" Yelena laughs, also sniffing a bit. Yeah, I missed the playfull Natasha too, Yelena.

Natasha looks down to my legs where the dry blood stains are. "That's my blood, isn't it?" She ask, nodding to my leg. I look down to the blood and slowly rise my head while nodding. "Yup" I pop out. "Yuck" Yelena mumbles, causing me to chuckle.
We heard the door open, Dr. Bruce Banner stepping inside. "Sorry to ruin the mood, but visiting hours didn't even begin yet. It's still early, 6:55 in the morning and I'm not actually allowed to let you two see her, soo...." Dr. Banner nods to the door, signaling for Yelena and I to leave.

"Oh, yeah of course" Yelena mumbles, and start walking away. I look back down to Natasha who's looking up to me already. I flash a smile before pulling my hand away from hers. "I'll come visit later" I say. She nods before I walk away. The doctor closed the door behind him as Yelena and I left.

We start walking down the hallway, me letting go of a shaky breath. "Why do you care so much about my sister?" Yelena ask out of the blue. Immediately I tilt my head to her, "Huh, what do you mean?" I question her, looking back in front of me as we walk down the stairs.
"I saw how she looks at you and how you look at her. You stayed with Natasha at all cost when she got shot. You care for her, why?" She said. We walked out the hospital. I stayed queit until we got to Natasha's car. I felt Yelena's eyes on me, waiting for an answer as she starts the car.

"I see more than just a killer assassin in Natasha" I whisper, wholesome moment before Yelena shouts, "Hey!"
With widen eyes I look back to Yelena and start to panic. I totally forgot Yelena is a killer assassin too. "Sorry! No offense!" I awkwardly smile. She scoff, "A lot taken"
I nervously chuckle and lean back in the seat. Yelena starts driving out of the hospital's parking lot. I watch as she tightens her grip around the steering wheel.

...

While I give directions to my apartment, Yelena finally dropped me off. I thanked her for the ride before waving bye at her. She honked as she drove off. I got a chance to change into some comfortable clothes, letting my hair fall loose.

It's still a bit early before I need to go to my shift, then after that, I'll visit Natasha at the hospital again.

-

I just got up to Natasha's hospital room. She lifts her head up once she heard my footsteps. "Hi" I greet queitly. She pushes herself up a bit and greet me back with a, "Hey" she pats the bed next to her. "Come lay with me" She offers, more like demand. "But what if I hurt you?" I hesitated. "Nonesense, come on" she nods to the bed. I hesitate at first, but strolled over to her after a bit of thinking. She moves over, making place for me. I sit down next to her, bringing my feet up. After I position myself comfortable, I tilt my head towards her. She looks down to my lips before looking at my eyes. We're way too close to eschother.

"Yelena was here a couple minutes ago. She told me what you said about me" She tells with a small smile. Embarrassed, I look down and start to fiddle with my fingers. How dare Yelena tell Natasha. "I think there's more to you too and I can't wait to unlock sides of you that I never seen before" Natasha adds. I look back up towards her, my mouth slightly parted to reply before I stopped myself because I got flustered at how close she is. We both look at each other straight in the eyes before Natasha looked down to my lips. Slowly, she begins leaning towards me. I looked down to her lips before leaning in too.

But, I pulled myself away with a deep breath. Natasha immediately pulled back once I did and clenched her jaw. Heat spreads across my cheeks once again. Did we lean in for a kiss? Wait, is she lesbian too? Maybe Im thinking ahead of myself. I got way too flustered and had to pull back. She makes me way too nervous. There's tension in the air, but I don't know what to say after that.
The silence is getting on my nerves tho. I let out a yawn, placing my hand over my mouth.

"You tired?" Natasha ask. Too embarrass to face her, I nod, keeping my eyes focused in front of me. "Here" She says and started moving around. I slightly side eye her to see her getting the blanket out from underneath us. She throws it over me. I thanked her before bringing my head lower onto the pillow while Natasha sits up against the headboard. "You can stay here a bit if you want to, or even sleep here if you'd like" she says. I don't have any idea how to sleep here so squashed up in the bed with her. There's barley space for the both of us, so I just lay on my back and stare up at the ceiling.

"You look uncomfortable" Natasha mentions. "No, I'm fine" I interject, squirming around. Natasha sighs before lowering herself to my level. My breathing got stuck in my throat as she wraps her arms around mine, our legs getting tangled with eachother. My hand is hovering above her chest, before I took a deep breath in and placed it down. Her chin is on my head and my head is against her side. Well, my entire body is against her side.

I'm not flustered anymore? Why? Maybe because I feel more safe than anything else.

Slowly, I shut my eyes and let my sleepiness take over.
