Rafe was... overwhelmed, to say the least, when they reached the table with the Madison family. The children giggle and the adults converse about the weather or recent political changes or whatever adults talk about these days.

Once the family noticed the couple's arrival, they all stood up and gave their hugs, one by one. Everyone knew of Rafe and the Cameron family, but you could only know so much by just hearing things.

With every mini introduction with every family member, Tayla introduced Rafe as her future husband, which made him smile proudly each time. She wasn't really ready to announce her pregnancy to anyone, as neither of them knew the detail as to how far along she was.

Tayla leads both herself and Rafe to a seat near her favorite cousin, her husband, and two kids. Her cousin, Grace was her go-to relative that she would hang out with during the yearly family reunions.

Grace was only a couple of years older in age and had a very similar personality to Tayla. Grace married her college sweetheart, Eliott, and later had their two kids Charlie and Olivia.

Charlie was their four-year-old son and Olivia was their two-year-old daughter. Both children loved when Tayla came around, knowing they would get candy every time she came around.

As Rafe and Tayla sit down, Eliott looks to both of them "So, you must be the new guy everyone's talking about". 

Tayla chuckles, rubbing her fiance's shoulder "He might be new but he's not going anywhere".

Grace's eyebrows raise in interest as she finishes giving a spoonful of mashed potatoes to her daughter "You're here for the long haul, huh?". 

Rafe smiles warmly "I couldn't imagine being with anyone else" he says before kissing Tayla's hand.

Both Eliott and Grace gasp, making Tayla flinch like something is wrong, as her eyes widen she looks around "What?". 

Grace grabs her left hand "This is a literal boulder". Rafe and Tayla laugh as the older couple ogle at the girl's engagement ring.

Tayla gets a little embarrassed "Okay guys, we get it" she puts her hands under her thighs. 

Rafe places his arm around her chair, rubbing the side of her arm "It's okay to show it off baby" he chuckles.

Eliott turns to Rafe "What do you do for a living?". 

Both Tayla and Grace give him a look as the kook answers "As of right now, I'm working under my father but I plan to take over the business portion soon, he's planning on settling down in retiring".

"Wow, it's a lot of responsibility to take over the family business" Eliott responds. 

Tayla rests her head on Rafe's broad shoulder "If anyone can take over Cameron Developments, it's this man right here".

Rafe smiles, "I have a family to provide for" he says as he softly kisses his fiance's cheek. It takes a moment until the two completely register what he just said. Tayla's eyes widen, looking to Rafe as if he had a way to erase what he said.

Grace furrow's her brows at his comment "What do you mean?" her eyes look between the couple. 

"Oh uh" Rafe stumbles over his words "A hypothetical family in the future, I mean".

Tayla awkwardly coughs before sipping on her glass of water, avoiding her cousin's curious stare. Slowly nodding, Grace gives Olivia another spoonful of mashed potatoes "You guys want kids?".

Both Rafe and Tayla nod as she answers "A few" the brunette says, looking up to her fiance for his thoughts. 

Rafe chuckles, pecking her forehead before he speaks "I would love as many kids as I can get out of her".

Eliott's eyebrows raise "Well in that case, why don't you practice tomorrow with these two" he gesture over to his two kids, giggling together. 

Before either of the two could respond, Eliott continues "Our babysitter dropped out on us last minute and we had planned a get-together with friends, if you could watch these kiddos for a couple of hours we would really appreciate it".

Rafe looks to the girl next to him before answering for the both of them, with a reassuring nod, he responds "We would love to, it would be good practice". Grace and Eliott's faces lit up, they were excited to finally get a night out with friends.

Tayla was excited to spend time with the kids that she loved so much and even more excited to do it with the love of her life. She looked over to find Rafe glancing over at the two kids with a warm smile as if he was thinking deeply about something.

Next Day...

Rafe and Tayla drove to a beautiful colonial house in a friendly neighborhood. Driving down the road, neither of them could help but look at the houses and imagine life inside of them.

Pulling up to the driveway, they could see the two kids looking out to the window with their faces practically smushed against the glass. Tayla took a deep breath and grabbed Rafe's hand over the center console "Ready baby?".

He smiled looking back at the tan girl "Born ready".
