About half an hour later, Sadie started to get more comfortable with the two. They ended up taking out a puzzle, putting it out on the coffee table. "I'm gonna get some snacks" Tayla tells Rafe, as she gets up his face displays nervousness. Almost as if he was scared that he would hurt her if he was by himself.

Tayla smiles at him "Baby, you got this". 

"Hey nuffing is matching" Sadie looks at the pieces in confusion, she grabs Rafe's thumb "Help". 

Tayla smiles more and kisses his forehead "You got this".

In the kitchen, Tayla cuts up some carrots as Sarah comes through the sliding glass door. "Look who's a little wifey in the kitchen" she teases her best friend. 

Tayla chuckles, shaking her head "What were you doing out in the yard?". 

Sarah looks down at the ground "Just... sunbathing?".

Looking at the carrots as she cuts, Tayla laughs at the blonde girl "Was that supposed to convince me?". 

"Jeez, I was just hanging on the dock with John B" Sarah said softly. She knew that Tayla didn't get along with him ever since the party incident. Neither of the girls was ever the type of kook to judge anyone just for their social status but Kiara pushed Tayla away from being friends with the pogues.

"If he makes you happy, that's all that matters" Tayla shrugs, continuing to stay focused on the cutting board ahead of her. 

Just as Sarah opened her mouth to respond, they heard giggles coming from the other room. Tayla smiles as Sarah furrows her brows in confusion "Who's here?".

"Kelce's little sister, Sadie, we're babysitting for a little bit". 

Sarah steps back in awe "Rafe is babysitting?". 

Tayla laughs "I know, you should see for yourself". She takes her friend over to see what the two were doing.

They both see Rafe tickling Sadie "Gimme the piece Sadie or we can't finish the puzzle" he laughs at the little girl's tight hold on the last puzzle piece. Sadie was trying to catch her breath from laughing so much. The toddler ended up wiggling out of Rafe's grip and started running.

He groans playfully "Sadie come onnnn". Rafe gets up and chases after her, keeping a good distance to make her think she was exceptionally fast. After a while, he catches up to her, picking her up and spinning her around. They both laugh uncontrollably.

Both Sarah and Tayla were happy to see Rafe so positive. Tayla was even happier to see that something else could make him smile even if it didn't have to do with her.

As Tayla goes back to the kitchen, Sarah goes into the living room "Having fun?". 

Rafe turns his head to see his sister "Oh uh, hey Sarah". 

He awkwardly puts Sadie down. Sarah looks between Rafe and the little girl "Who is this?".

Sadie reaches for Rafe's hand "Dis is Wafe". 

Rafe and Sarah chuckle lightly as Sarah crouches down to Sadie's level "And what's your name?". 

The smaller girl moves closer to Rafe's leg, feeling a burst of shyness "I'm Sadie".

Rafe smiles and picks her up, letting Sadie sit on his hip. "I see you made a new friend" Sarah looks back at her brother. 

He chuckles "I guess you could say that". Sadie rests her head on Rafe's shoulder, rubbing her eyes slowly.

He looks down and then back towards Sarah "I think it's someone's nap time". 

She nods and says "I'll let Tay know". 

"Just tell her, I'm taking her to my room" Rafe says as he walks up the stairs carefully.

A couple of minutes later, Tayla reached Rafe's bedroom and placed the cut-up food on the nightstand. She looked over to see Sadie fully asleep on her boyfriend as he lay there on his phone. He looks up from his phone to see his girlfriend smiling "What?" he asks in a soft whisper.

Still smiling, she kisses his forehead "I just love you". 

Her words made Rafe's face light up "Come here" he pats the other side of the bed with his available arm. Carefully, Tayla snuggles into his side. Rafe looks down to see both girls at his side, in that moment he was more content than he ever had been.

"I love you too babe" he smiles in between kisses, his face close against Tayla's cheek. She traced circles on his side, the two eventually rest also.

An hour later...

Kelce arrived back to the Tannyhill property. By the time he had gotten there, Sadie had grown quite a strong bond with the couple in such a short time. 

"I don't wanna go" the little girl whines to her big brother, on the verge of a possible tantrum. Kelce groans at the difficult toddler.

Rafe sat Sadie down on the couch for her to calm down. Tayla walked over and rubbed the side of her arm gently as the little girl sniffled. "You aren't leaving for good, we'll see you again" she told Sadie. 

She looks between the couple with tears still in her eyes "Promise?".

Both Rafe and Tayla respond at the same time "Promise". Sadie nodded her head and Tayla walks with her to the door, hand in hand. Just as Kelce was about to take her hand, she runs back to the couch to give Rafe a hug. This made him smile indefinitely.

Kelce rolled his eyes "Come on Sadie" he holds his hand out. A couple of seconds later, she lets go and takes her older brother's hand. 

"Bye guys!" her tiny voice erupts. 

"Thank you guys, seriously" Kelce says before leaving, he looks to Rafe to see him nod in response.

Once the two siblings leave, Tayla plops back onto the couch and exhales. Rafe looks over to the girl and laughs "Drained?". She nods slightly and rolls over, laying her head on his lap. 

He smiles and plays with her hair "To answer your question from before, yes I did have a crush on you".

Tayla tilts her head in Rafe's direction with surprise. "Oh come on, don't be so shocked" he blurted. 

She scoffs "I honestly thought you despised me". 

Rafe shakes his head with his eyes closed "You clearly don't know how I flirt". They both stare at each other for a moment and then laugh uncontrollably.
