I was home pretty early than usual. What happened at Mike's dorm was all new to me. I've never felt the sensation. It made me wondered how sex was like. I wished I was ready for him and not the other way around.

At first Hailey made fun of me too when she knew I was a virgin. But slowly, she respected my decision. I might be a bitch sometimes but I'm not a slut.

I went to the kitchen and found Ethan sitting there with his computer. I ignored him and grabbed an orange juice from the fridge and poured myself a glass.

I could hear him cursed between his breath and I realized that he was trying to turned on his laptop but the screen was blank.

"Shit", he cursed then he looked at me.

"Sorry. I'm working on something and it ran out of battery. I plugged on the charger but it won't turn on", he explained.

I took a seat beside him and examined the laptop, but everything was fine. Then I looked at the power cord and found the damage.

"Do you have a wire cutter and electrical tapes?" I asked him.

He looked at me confused. "Yeah. But what for? "

"Just give it to me", I said impatient.

He opened one of the kitchen drawer and grabbed the items I asked. He gave them to me and I started to work.

Around 10 minutes, I was done. I plugged the power cord again and press the power button and it was on.
"Wow, how did you do that?", Ethan asked, impressed.

"It was the wires. They are damaged. That's why they can't supply powers to the cord. Most people got that problem", I said. "Usually it's because you always yank the cable after you charged it, right?"

He flushed. "Uh,yeah sometimes"

"Thought so", I mumbled and got up.

"Linda", he called before I went out of the room.

I turned my body. "Yeah?", I asked.

"Thanks. You're a life saver", he smiled.

"Sure", I said flatly then turned on my heels.

(Ethan POV)

When she asked for the items to repair my cables, I was amazed. I didn't know she know how to repair such things. She working on the cables was the biggest turn on to me.

I wished I was the cables. Wait, since when I had such pervy thoughts? I shook my head then turned my attention to her.

She finished her work and left the room. I continued writing my email to Mr.Smith.

I was done doing my design and I wanted to show him tomorrow. We were talking when my laptop suddenly off because it ran out of battery.

We were talking for almost 30 minutes and he agreed to meet me tomorrow.

When I closed my laptop, Brian walked in the kitchen with Kira holding two boxes of pizzas.

"Hey, Ethan" she greeted me.

"Kira, what are you doing here?", I asked. It was unusual for her to come on weekdays.

"Oh, we finished early and I really want to hang out with you guys", she said as she grabbed a beer from the fridge like it was her own home.

"Alright. I'm gonna take a shower then I'll get Linda", Brian said before he left the room.

Not a while, Linda came. Her face was flat like usual. "Hi, Kira", she greeted her with tight smile.

"Hi, Linda. How are you?", Kira greeted her back with her wide smile.
"Just usual", she said as she poured herself a glass of water. "I'm gonna watch TV a while before the dinner", she said and left the room. I watched every move she made until she was out of the room.

I turned to face Kira and she was grinning at me.

"What?", I asked innocently.

"You like her", she whispered.

I didn't say anything and my face was red as tomato, making her grin even more.

"Does Brian know?", she whispered again.

"No. He'll kill me", I whispered.

"Why? I don't think he'll mind", she said.

"Believe me. He does. I told him when I was 16, and he said she's off limits", I said sadly.

Her eyes widened. "Wait, are you telling me that you've been in love with her this whole time?", she said almost shouted.

"Sstt. She'll hear us", I said checking at the living room and all I saw was Linda watching TV. I didn't think she heard us.

"Oh My God. That's why you don't have girlfriends because you've been waiting for her? That's so sweet", she squaled.

"Yeah. But I don't think I'll have her", my eyes turned to Linda's who was still watching TV.

"Let me talk to Brian-",

"No. Even if he gives me his blessing, if Linda doesn't love me back, it's no use", I cut her.

"Why don't you try to talk to her?"

"She's avoiding me too, Kira. She's changed. She's not the girl I used to know. But I still love her", I sighed and covered my face with my hands. "I don't know what to do"

"How about I talk to her for you?", she said.

I raised my head and looked at her. "What?"

"I said I'll talk to her for you", she said sincerely. "You're a good guy, Ethan and she seems like a nice girl. I'll try to make her realize that you're an amazing guy who loves her completely. And if she doesn't see that, then she's an idiot", she smiled.

I hugged her. "Thank you, Kira. It means so much to me"

"Your welcome, Clarington", she hugged me back.

We pulled back and Brian walked in the room. He looked fresh because he was just from shower.

"You smell good, babe", Kira approached him and kissed him which got me jealous. I wished they were me and Linda.

Speak of the devil, Linda appeared behind Brian. She was texting and she smiled at whatever the content it was making me curious. Who the hell did she texting to.

During dinner, she would also glanced at her phone and texting which caught Brian's attention.

"Who are you texting?", Brian asked.

She lifted her head and frowned. "A friend", and continued texting again.

"Well, tell your 'friend' that you're having family dinner", Brian said sternly.

"Since when do you care?"

"I always care for you, Linda. Now put the cell away", Brian said. Now with his attorney voice.

Linda acted like she didn't hear him. Next thing happened was Brian got up and grabbed the phone from Linda.

"Hey", Linda shouted. Brian looked at her phone and scoffed.

"Wow, it's Mike, your 'friend' that you were on date with?"

Brian's hand still scrolling on the phone. "Luckily there's no dirty texts", he said then he stopped scrolling and looked at Linda. He looked angry. "Were you guys together last weekend?", he asked.

"What?N-no", she said. But I knew she was lying.

"Here it says 'I'm at the lobby now'. It was dated on Saturday and he sent it right when you went out. Did you go with this boy?", he asked again.

"Yeah. I went out with him, so what?", Linda hissed.

"You said you were going with your friend, Hailey. You lied to me", he looked disappointed.

"So what?"

"So what? I'm gonna tell you this now. I don't like that Mike boy, alright? I don't like him. And I don't want you hang out with him anymore", Brian said.

"It's not up to you", she said and got up. "Oh, and by the way, we're dating", she said before she left the room.
