Chapter 9: Request for Greed

   Playing games and leisurely staying in their club after school wasn't bad at all. Other than playing games, some delicious snacks and dessert would be provided by their Club President.

Muranaka Hailey was starting to get to use this kind of experience in a club. She originally used to be a member of a sports club during her middle school years where intense training was required.

She didn't know if she preferred this one or her former badminton club. Here, no one would stare at her with eyes full of jealousy and anger. This club has become her sanctuary every after-school.

She doesn't need to walk home with her so-called friends who were also her classmates at the Domino Middle School.

But it seems that during this second day of the last week, the comfortable routine that they have in this club is broken with the arrival of Tetsu Ushio the Hall Monitor, and the Leader of the Moral Club.

Sipping his tea, The Club President Horo Tokio glanced at their first customer who was sitting on the opposite sofa.

With a business-like smile, Horo Tokio started speaking like a door-to-door salesman.

" So may I ask if the Hall Monitor Ushio-san required our services? Our services would range from 100 to 1,000 yen depending on the difficulty and time spent on the request. There is no need to worry that we wouldn't complete your request. I guarantee that any request that we would accept would be completed!  "

After saying those words, Tokio wasn't blind to the malicious and greedy glint that appeared in Ushio Tetsu's eyes. He watched the first episode of cannon fodder and put a 100 yen on the table.

" Then would you like to fulfill my simple request? "

Ushio Tetsu started crackling his knuckles under the worried gazes of the other club members.

" Would you accept it or not? "

" Could I hear the request first? "

" I need your word first before telling the request, but if you are stubborn Tokio-san then there are other ways which I could make you agree. "

Outside their club doors, the members of Ushio Tetsu's moral club could be seen.

After a few moments, Tokio took the 100 yen from the table.

" I accept the deal. "

He then took out a form under the gaze of Ushio Tetsu.

" So can I hear the deal now? "

Ushio Tetsu looks at Tokio with a greedy stare. The other members in the room send Ushio a disdainful and disgusted look.

" I heard that Tokio-san is someone who was privileged and wasn't lacking in money. According to some rumors, you are under the protection of the Principal but it is a pity that the Principal isn't always here at the Domino School. Pay me 20,000 yen and I assure you that you would be under our protection. "

After saying those words, the leisure club members glared at Ushio Tetsu.

" How could you?! "

" That is blatant blackmail! "

" President...please don't accept it! "

" 20,000 yen... There's no way... We wouldn't accept such a condition! Are you deserving your title as the Moral Club Leader and Hall Monitor!? "

Under the glares directed at him, Ushio started laughing.

" You're words meant nothing to me... "
He flickered his gaze to Tokio. The expression on his eyes became more greedy.

" What is your decision now Tokio. I don't take kindly for those people who go back on their words. You can bring me the 20,000 yen tomorrow so your club will be protected. "

Under the disbelieving gaze of his members, Horo Tokio started writing on the form. After a few minutes, he finished it and passed it to Ushio Tetsu who started reading it. After reading the form, Tetsu was looking at Tokio with a shocked look on his face.

" What do you think? "

Wearing a crafty smile, Tokio asked the hall monitor kindly.

"...100,000 yen... "

Ushio Tetsu muttered. The leisure club members look at their President with dumbfounded expressions.

" Yes, 100,000 yen. As long as you fulfill this contract, the 100,000 yen would be yours. "

Tetsu glanced at Tokio with a complicated expression.

" It seems that I have underestimated you, Tokio-san. "

" So would you agree by the contract? You only just need to ensure that there would be no property loss or destruction in my leisure club and the members of my club wouldn't be physically harmed within the Domino High School in May. "

After a few seconds, the greedy expression returned and Ushio Tetsu decisively signed the contract with his signature.

" Happy Cooperation ~ "

Tokio offered a handshake and Tetsu shook them.

" ..Yes, Happy Cooperation Tokio-san. By the last day of May, the 100,000 yen would be mine. "

Under the disgusting expression, Tokio only smiled kindly at Ushio Tetsu. The President and the club members watched the hall monitor leaving the club and the scary-looking moral committee members following after Ushio Tetsu.

The Leisure members quickly scramble to pick up the contract.

" It is indeed 100,000 yen... "

Mayumi was looking like she was ready to tear up while Risa has a grim expression on her face.

Tomoyuki pounded his fist on the table and cursed.

" Damn, Ushio... "

He then glared at the Tokio.

" Why did you... Are you certain that he would fulfill the contract? "

Under the worried expression, Tokio replied calmly.

" If he deliberately breaks the contract, I can assure everyone that there would be repercussions. "

After saying those words, Tokio grinned like a villain.

" Sooner or later, his actions would come back to bite him in the Ass.. "

"President... "

They were relieved that the President has countermeasures. Then they all stared at Tokio with a complicated expressions. It was a waste to take out 100,000 yen for that kind of guy.

A few minutes later, the members decided to bid farewell to each other as they are in no mood to play games for now leaving only Tokio alone in the club room.
