Chapter 8: Redcap

    Brown hair, a red hat, and a red jacket. Horo Tokio couldn't be mistaken, it was indeed the infamous commonly referred to as "red cap" by the other Yugioh players like him in his past world. Sometimes, also jokingly called Konami-kun.

Staring at the reflection in the mirror, Tokio was fascinated. After checking the rewards that he got from the first draw, the next day in the morning at his home, he decided to observe further some of the things that he got.

Since Duel Monsters wasn't still available in this country for a moment, he decided to store his cards in the system inventory. It would be bad if he have manage to lose his cards or people would accuse him of using fake cards the moment they arrive.

The moment that he woke up in his bed, Tokio decided to check out the things that he got other than the cards. So here he was now standing in front of the mirror and donning the disguise of a Vagrant.

While facing the reflection, Tokio has an 'indecipherable' expression on his face. But inside his mind, Tokio's mind was full of complaints and doubts.

Just like those other players back in his world, Tokio was curious about the face of the Player Protagonist of Tag Force. But now that there was a chance to fulfill his curiosity, he can't even remove the damn red hat on his head. The hairstyle that he was donning in this disguise was also that ero protagonist hairstyle that didn't let him see the color of Konami-Kun's eyes.

While thinking of those thoughts, an idea suddenly came to his mind.

Now that he was wearing Horo Tokio's face, the expression that he gave wasn't what would the normal people with logic call 'pleasant'. It was a face that has come up with a devious plan.

These avatars(skin costumes) which were only acquired in draws would be useful in the future and can be used in various ways. Also, if he would fulfill this so-called Hidden Boss in the future, he could approach the protagonist group in disguise if he needs to fulfill a villain role in the future.

‘System, can I ask what avatars are available in the draw?’

‘ No need! I don't need it! ’

Tokio instantly refuse when he heard that it caused points.

Later, Tokio left his room when he heard Aunt Shizuko calling him. Tokio and his Aunt arrived at the dining room where he saw the servants and his twin cousins.

" Good morning Tokio! "

Nishiyama Minori greeted him and Tokio returned the greeting.

" Good morning, Mino-chan. I heard that you got scolded yesterday from Minoru? "

Minori pouted and glared at Tokio and her twin sibling. The latter only fixed his glasses and smirked.

" You know that it was breakfast Tokio! Let's not talk about such matters! And don't tell me you forget, you have promised to accompany me shopping! Let's go later, there's no backing out! "

Tokio shuddered when he heard those cursed words. He then glances at Minoru who was now keeping his head down and trying to lessen his presence as possible.

" Minoru you're going with me too! "

" ..fuck. "

" Minoru!! "

Aunt Shizuko let out a scandalized look then Minori sighed.

" ..Sorry.. "

The way he apologizes has no energy in it and appeared insincere but Aunt Shizuko has let it go since Minoru would still keep cursing no matter how many times she chastised her son.

Looking at the scene, Tokio smiled a little and his gaze turned soft and fond. Ever since he came into this world, the first-ever person with that he truly felt connected in this world was Horo Tokio's sister. Horo Kanon has done everything she can for her little brother who can't remember anything. It was hard for a girl like her who was just 15 years old at that time to learn that her parents passed away. Since her little brother has no memories, she needs to be brave and strong for her little brother.

Thankfully, she wasn't alone as there was their Aunt Shizuko who decided to carry the responsibility with her.

Their Aunt Shizuko was there for them and visit them with her children since they turned into middle schoolers. When Kanon decided to pursue her dreams, Aunt Shizuko and her children decided to move into Horo's Household so that Tokio wouldn't feel alone even with the servants being there.

" Ughh. Tokio you are showing a disgusting look again. "

Minori complained at Tokio. But after a few seconds, she cried out in pain as she felt someone tug at her braids.

" Don't be rude, Minori. "

" Minoru!! "

" Did you prefer that Tokio nii-san would send us his usual useless bum stare? "

From the side, Tokio's grip on his fork and spoon tightened. He has a fake smile on his face while thinking that these two rude hellions needed to be taught a little lesson.

After the dinner, the three of them left the Horo Mansion. Inside the car, Minori reminded her twin brother and Tokio.

" Ah, right I forgot. Other than buying some clothes, I would also check out some important information. "

Minoru curiously glance at his sibling while he was holding a book titled « Clown in the land of Mirrors ».

" What information? "

" So, you didn't listen to what Shiroe-kun said yesterday? Jeez... He told me that the famous card game from America would be released in our country in the first week of May! "

Beside them, Tokio suddenly started choking on the tea that he was sipping.

" Tokio nii-san are you okay? "

Tokio grimaced when he heard Minoru. He wasn't okay.  There's only a little time left before the Duel Monsters and the rules of the Yugioh DM Era which made him want to bang his head on the wall.
