Chapter 63: Rare Card Hunters

    Glaring at the 5 new strangers in her city, the Wrath Keeper Frozen Lady justice inquires coldly and with hostility in her tone.

" Who are you? "

Tokio then replied with a smile on his face.

" Me? I'm Yugame. Jikan Yugame. "

Frozen Lady Justice watched as the Tokio and the 4 duel spirits come forward and approached her and Kage Kaiba.

" We are visitors of Shadow Realm and we just came here to find some people of interest. "

The Frozen Lady Justice then glared at Tokio and then at Kage Kaiba.

" Visitors? Once you arrived at this place you would never leave. "

The Frozen Lady Justice grinned maliciously.

" Even if this lowly remnant interests you, I am afraid I can't hand him over to you. "

Hearing those words, Tokio chuckled.

" Ahhh... Is that so? I don't want to fight a beautiful lady like you. But if you are willing to fight and not give up, I have no choice but to show my hand. "

Currently, Tokio as Jikan Yugame was deep in the act of pretending to be confident and powerful which he wasn't. Inside his mind, he was afraid. But outside, he was imitating and acting like those confident bosses in several media sources.

If he would face the protagonist in the future as a hidden boss, Tokio might as well start practicing his acting skills right now.

Tokio then glance at Kage Kaiba who was kneeling on the ground and struggling. He looks very exhausted and in very not good condition. Maybe it was the cause of summoning his duel spirit.

Noticing his gaze, Kage Kaiba refuses to let show any weakness in his emotions. Cold blue eyes were staring at Tokio.

" Do you need help to get up? "

Kage Kaiba refuses to answer the question. After a few seconds, he gets up from the ground. Tokio then glances around the crowd as if he was looking for something.

After looking carefully, Tokio has indeed found his goal in this place. Tokio then glance at Frozen Lady Justice who was looking at him with hostility but also wary at the same time.

" So, what's your decision Frozen Lady Justice? I am not the one for patience. "

After a few seconds, The Frozen Lady Justice made her decision.

Later, outside of Wrath City, Tokio left the city accompanied by new people.

After staring and looking at the crowd earlier, Tokio manages to find the objective.

The two rare card hunters were looking uncomfortable when Tokio was looking at them. Earlier, it was unexpected for Tokio to suddenly walk toward them and offer them a way out of this city and the shadow realm.

They don't know Tokio's goal and why he was interested in them. The only thing that they know what that if they refuse they would put themselves in trouble. Maybe, he would kill them.

The two rare card hunters used to be normal people until the leader of that accursed organization Marik Ishtar entered their lives. Since then, they left their normal lives unwillingly. Most of their days in that organization were spent with them not being in control of themselves. They were forced to do and abide by Marik Ishtar's will.

The days that they were in control of their actions were rare. At first, they were unwilling and defiant of the actions of their body that were out of their control. They wanted to break out. But soon, they got used to it.

There was no use in fighting back. They should just do as Marik Ishtar says. As what their Master says and abides by his will. They didn't fight back and even started to do the actions voluntarily that were given to them.

As a reward for their obedience, they were given the freedom to move their own body. It was a relief to have their own body back in their control.

They didn't have any thoughts of running away from the organization. It was useless to run away as Marik Ishtar would find them. They even heard that those who betray the organization lose their lives and are sent not to the afterlife but a Shadow Realm.

They didn't have a clue about what the Shadow Realm was but according to the other experienced members of the organization, it wasn't a place that you wanted to be sent.

They would never go back to their normal lives. They were puppets that would never escape from the puppet master. They could only do his bidding and tried to survive every day like the other members. And maybe aspire to be like those in the higher commands who were given special privileges.

Normal members like them are disposable things that can be thrown around.

Keep doing his will and survive. Be obedient and loyal. No matter if it was immoral or against their principles, it doesn't matter.

What matter is that they only need to obey to survive.

But they never thought that to survive, they must win every duel.

They ended up being sent by the master that they obeyed to the Shadow Realm. A place that was like hell. A place of suffering.

They wanted to die. But they can't. Under the rule of the keeper, they must always obey the unfair rule of this place.

Eventually, chaos happened in the form of a remnant soul challenging the seats of the keepers of each city of the Shadow Realm. His goal was to defeat each of the keepers and challenge the Head Keeper. It was said that the Head Keeper is the most powerful person in the Shadow Realm.

But they don't know if it's true since this mysterious person appeared. A person who has the command of 4 powerful duel spirits. And maybe there was more than that.

" Do you want to get out of this place? "
