Chapter 58: Travelling the Shadow Realm

       When Tokio regained his consciousness, he felt the pain all over himself. It made him want to pass away from the intense pain but Tokio endured it.

'System?'

There was no response from the system. Instead of despairing over it, Tokio sighed.

As expected of his and the system's conclusion. They were right that the system can't communicate with him in the Shadow Realm.

The National Duel Monsters tournament side quest has rewarded him with 7,000 points for reaching the top 6. But by battling Joey and defeating him in the tournament he was granted a 5,000 points reward during that time. ]

But during this duelist kingdom, defeating Joey rewarded him with 10,000 points.

Tokio's opponents in the duel are divided into 3 classifications.

First, we're the Standard duelist whose reward amounted to 100 to 1,000 points every time that you defeated them in a duel.

The second was the Expert duelist whose reward ranges from 1,000 to 3,000 points.

And the third classification was the Legendary Duelist whose reward ranges from 3,000 to whopping unknown amounts of reward points.

Joey falls into the category of Legendary Tier Duelist.

But those classifications were divided into low, mid, high, and grand classifications.

If Tokio has a high amount of determination, will, and courage to challenge all of those legendary tier duelists that exist out there, he would be already drowning himself in duel points.

But those legendary duelists aren't something that Tokio can bite and challenge casually. Currently, among the legendary tier duelists are Pegasus, Yugi, Bakura, Marik, Ishizu, etc. Are all fucking Millenium Item Users that Tokio wouldn't dare to challenge just for points.

Sighing, Tokio decided to get up from whatever he was laying on and browse the miscellaneous shop function of the system. He was defeated by Pegasus so there was no reward for him.

As for the side quests of participating in the duelist kingdom, Tokio can't claim the reward as unfortunately he can't communicate with the A.I. of the system right now. The system A.I. is the one responsible for giving him the reward of the quest.

Tokio then looks around him while browsing the miscellaneous shop. Everything is dark so Tokio can't see clearly what is going on. If he wasn't certain what was going on, Tokio would suspect that he had already gone blind.

After a while, Tokio bought things that he thought would be very useful for him. He only has 30,450 left.

Swallowing the pill, Tokio instantly felt its effects. The pain that he felt before was gone and replaced by numbness. Tokio can't feel any pain. He then wore the sunglasses. With the special sunglasses on, Tokio looks at his surroundings.

Tokio found himself on a vast grassland. A grassland of purple dark grass.

Is it appropriate to call it shadowlands? Tokio was suddenly starting to wonder if he should just refer to it as the purple realm.

Frowning, Tokio doesn't have a clue where he would find the two rare card hunters. Tokio decided to browse the miscellaneous shop again.

After a few minutes of browsing, Tokio has only 27, 450 points left.

Tokio bought a special compass that would point out where is the most nearby living being in this place.

'Hopefully, it was enough.'

Tokio started walking to the vast grassland, and in the direction where the compass had pointed out the most nearby living being that was in this place.

Tokio keeps walking on and on the vast grassland. But what he estimated after half an hour of walking, he can feel his will to keep walking wilt away.

Tokio felt tired as time passed on. Having a bad premonition, Tokio decided to stop walking and checked his status.

Tokio was shocked to find out that his stamina is draining even though he hadn't done any duel. But after a few moments of staring at his Status, Tokio realizes something important.

'I am in the shadow realm. '

In Shadow Games, except for the millennium item users, normal people would feel tired and drained when participating in shadow duels.

Shadow realm is a much worse version of the Shadow Duel.

'Fuck... I didn't think of this carefully. '

While lamenting and regretting, Tokio let himself collapse to the ground. He was now lying down on the grassland. Tokio stared at the black sky and noticed the dark purple moon or sun. After a few minutes of staring blankly at the dark purple moon, Tokio noticed something.

'What the fuck is that shit?!'

There are several dots in the sky and they appeared to be moving and coming closer.

Tokio's face paled when he noticed that the dots in the sky aren't normal at all but duel monsters.

It was an army of green dragons that has 2 horns on its heads.

That's right, it was an army of Blackland Fire Dragon.

Tokio shakily get up from the ground and tried to run. But he immediately collapses. He was too exhausted to move.

While panicking, the next thing he tried was to open his inventory. And Tokio cursed when he remembered that his 40-card deck was left with his body.

Tokio heard the roars of the dragon. Filled with despair, Tokio shouted as he opened his inventory and took out the bunch of cards that were in his inventory.

" No, no, no! I can't fucking killed and eaten by these dragons! "

Before the dragons could completely approach and eat Tokio, the cards that he took out glowed. He suddenly heard several voices inside his mind.

{ I can't believe that this is the summoner that called us. }

{ It can't be helped that he is like that }

4 figures appeared in front of Tokio who was in shock.

Before he loses his consciousness again, he thought that this is Yugioh. He should get used to the weirdness and shenanigans that happen. It is just a normal thing for this universe.
