Chapter 43: Duelist Kingdom Preliminaries (2)

  Fumihito who was watching the duel between Tokio and Haruhi tilted his head and muttered in confusion.

" NTR? What's that? "

The two duelists on the platform of the duel arena froze and they glance at the 12 or 13-year-old duelist with them.

Haruhi glared at Tokio as if saying that it was his fault.

" Akai-san just by observing, I know that I am the older one between the two of us, how come at such a young age you know that kind of thing? "

Tokio averted his eyes under Haruhi's expression of disappointment.

" .. Whatever. "

Haruhi then muttered and glance at Fumihito.

" Fumi-kun it's better for you to not know the meaning of those words. "

" Is it a curse? "

" No. "

" Then, I can say it? "

" No, no, No! My mother would kill me if she heard you saying that– anyway, your mother would kill me too! If your mother asked where did you learn that word, this guy in front of me is the responsible one!! "

Tokio shifted his gaze even further. He was now starting to feel embarrassed and impure. But the latter could be said to be not true.

Tokio frowned inside his mind as he heard Haruhi's monologue speech. He didn't expect that a regular standard duelist would give him a Shounen Speech.

" Here I go! Breakthrough your shell and show your might! He may be small and harmless, but I would show you how terrifying he could be! Ryu-Ran! "

A little dragon that was still in its egg appeared showing its menacing eyes, little wings, and feet.

It seems that Haruhi wasn't using a full charmer deck like he originally thought.

Tokio then blinked when Ryu-Ran look back at Haruhi and roared. Then it glance at Tokio again and gives him a menacing stare and this time its roar was threatening unlike the earlier roar towards Haruki that was comparable to a puppy.

There's no mistake about it. Ryu-Ran is alive. Staring at Haruhi who was smiling at Ryu-Ran, Tokio was surprised.

" You have a duel spirit? "

Haruhi widened his eyes.

" Eh? You could feel Ryu-Ran?! "

Tokio nodded his head. Meanwhile, the 12-year-old Fumihito stared at the two duelists at the duel arena with a strange look. It seems that his big brother neighbor Haruhi has found a fellow Chuunibyou comrade.

Haruhi noticed Fumihito's strange stare at them. He coughed and averted his glance at his little neighbor and pointed his fingers at Tokio.

" Akai-san I would make you regret what you have said to Hiita-chan earlier! Lady Assailant attack your former master's set defense position monster! "

Lady Assailant rushed towards the defense position monster, but to Haruhi's surprise, it wasn't destroyed instead, he took a 200 damage. Tokio's defense position monster is revealed.

" Ahh, I miscalculated... "

« Yukimura Haruhi LP1200 →1000 »

Haruhi muttered.

" But it doesn't matter! Ryu-Ran attacks his Spirit of the Harp! "

Upon Haruhi's declaration of attack, Tokio grinned at his mind.

[ Upon your declaration of attack, my Trap Card is activated! ]

" What?! "

Haruhi exclaimed in surprise.

[ Trap Hole of Spikes! When my opponent's monster that was summoned this turn declares an attack, destroys the attacking monster, and inflicts damage to the opponent equal to half of the attacking monster's attack! ]

" Nooo!! Ryu-Ran! "

[ Yukimura Haruhi LP1000 → 0 ]

Ryu-Ran monster card was destroyed and Haruhi's life points turned to 0. Ryu-Ran who was in his spirit form right now floated towards Haruhi and whined like an aggrieved puppy complaining to its owner.

Sighing, Haruhi smiled sadly.

" It was unfortunate that with my training. I was still defeated. "

Leaving the platform, Haruhi took out the 2-star chips on his gloves and throw them toward Tokio.

" Akai-san, catch! "

Tokio caught the two-star chips and inserted them into his gloves. He has now a total of 4-star chips. Seeing Haruhi looking a little sad, Tokio then muttered.

[ If only we have a 4000 life point rule,  the game wouldn't end easily. ]

" Akai-san.. "

[ The current game rule sucks. ]

Tokio then turned to stare at Fumihito. The latter then gulped intensely seeing the intense stare directed at him.

[ Fumihito-san, right? ]

" Y-Yes! "

[ It's your turn. ]

'Your turn to die'

Fumihito thought inside his mind as he compared Tokio to a demon.

Reluctantly, he stepped into the dueling platform and sighed. It doesn't matter anymore. Without brother Haruhi, staying here in this Duel Kingdom isn't fun.

He also has just come here to avoid doing his homework but looks likes after this duel he would return home and face his angry mother who keeps insisting that he must do his homework.

[ Since I was the first earlier, you can be the first turn after shuffling your deck. ]

" Got it! "

Fumihito replied nervously and he was also already preparing for his doom.
