Chapter 10: Requests

        During the last week of April, unlike just playing games, The Leisure Games and Odd Jobs club members have fulfilled the latter part of their name.

After Ushio Tetsu, there are no blackmails or someone who came to their club with malicious intentions. The Second Request came from the Miss Librarian of Domino High School. It involves them helping in the task of cleaning the bookshelves and arranging the new books that arrived.

While they were doing the task, they also met the library committee members who were helping with the cleaning. And one of those members happened to be Nosaka Miho. Maybe, because of the last time, she can't stop giving Tokio her death glares.

It was obvious that he didn't leave any impressionable outlook on her last time they met even with his fairly good-looking appearance.

" Mayumi-chan you should leave that club! What if that rude guy does something to you? Miho wouldn't be able to do anything if that happens! "

Miho even started convincing her classmate to leave his club which he wouldn't allow since he have no intention of adding any more members than the minimum requirement.

" You didn't need to worry Miho. I assure you that despite being rude, he wouldn't do such heinous and immoral actions. "

"  Oh no! Can Miho ask if you have unknowingly fallen in love with that kind of bad guy?! "

Miho gasped dramatically while Mayumi screamed with a flustered expression because of her classmate's assumption.

" No, you're wrong! "

The other members of the library committee glared at her and place a finger on their lips telling her to be quiet. Miho wasn't also safe from the reprimanding.

Both of the girls bowed their heads. After the task was over, Risa chuckled when they were outside the library.

" It was an interesting event. Don't you think so, President? "

Under the scheming gaze, Tokio shook his head slightly.

" No... "

" So you don't think that it was interesting that Mayumi-chan likes you? "

" You and Miho have wrong assumptions. "

" Awww. Such a pity. Real-life events are boring. "

Risa muttered while Tomoyuki and Hailey are near her.

" That's why we have works of fiction for that Risa-san.."

Tomoyuki muttered beside her.

" Well, you are right. It is a pity that real-life events are so boring. "

As all of them left the library, Tokio thought that there is where they are wrong. Sometimes, real-life events are more interesting and wonderful than fiction considering that fiction is now his real life.

On the last day of April, their 3rd request was from the gardening club. Horo Tokio lay lazily on the bench of the rooftop while the members of his club glared at him.

In their hands was a pot of plants. The Gardening Club president requested that they wanted to add decor on the rooftop of the new building by adding potted plants here. As a result, they asked the LGOJ to help them carry some potted plants to the rooftop.

All of the club members participated with an exception of a certain lazy president.

" Have you got no shame? "

Mayumi asked angrily while trying to stop herself from following her impulse to throw the pot at the President who was currently yawning.

" huh? Shame? No, I'm not. I'm shameless. "

After spreading his hands, Tokio adjusted his position to become the sleeping position and close his eyes.

" Then, shall we teach you some humility, Pre-si-dent?~ "

Risa asked in a singsong voice and Tokio heard the sound of cracking knuckles.

‘Fuck, I'm screwed.’

Later, as Tokio passed the contracts of the task that they fulfilled to Ishida-sensei, the supervisor stared at Tokio who was rubbing the pain in his stomach and wincing.

" Tokio-kun do you need to go to Clinic? "

Ishida, their club supervisor asked with a frown on his face.

" No need Ishida-sensei. Anyway, there would be an allocated budget for our club right? "

" Yes. There would be a 5,000 yen allocated budget next month for your club. "

" Thanks, Sensei. Then, I will be off. "

Tokio waved his hand and left the room.

‘Damn, Risa's punch packs a lot... It was just one punch. What if she punches me a lot? ’

Thinking about it made Tokio unconsciously get goosebumps. When he went home, he thought that he would start buying packs the moment the Duel Monsters are officially released in this country.

But unfortunately for Tokio, On the first day of May, he hasn't managed to buy any pack of Cards as he spent all of his days inside his room and occasionally vomited the contents of his stomach on a bucket. His face was pale and he mostly spent his days sleeping.

Under the concerned gaze of his aunt, Tokio cursed this faulty body. He has gotten used to his circumstances. During their middle school days, there are certain days when he would be always absent. It was easy for him to catch fever just because of the simplest or most logical things. Even the original owner of this body was no exception to this during the primary grade.

".. Fucking hell.... "

" Tokio! "

Thankfully the next day, his fever was gone and Tokio was prepared for another day at school again. He also promised himself that he would buy 20 packs of cards after the classes and club activities. He heard from his two cousins that a single pack of cards cost 1,000 yen and the pack they bought contained 10 cards.

If he would buy 10 packs, it would cost a total of 10,000 yen. If his Aunt Shizuko learned that he was planning to buy cards with 10,000 yen she would already be shaking in anger.

Despite being well-off, she would reprimand Tokio to don't bother spending his money on useless things such as games.

Tokio was certain of his doom the day his Aunt learned that he have spent some time visiting game shops and arcades within the premise of his former school.

Eventually, Tokio arrived at Domino High School, he was surprised to see the other four members of the club waiting for him at the gates of the school.

"Tokio! ""

They all came rushing the moment they saw him. He was surprised by their very enthusiastic and dramatic expressions.

He then notices Risa who has an ashamed expression on her face. After a while, she bowed her head.

" I'm sorry! "

She glanced at him and Tokio winced at her look. There were tears on the edge of her eyes. Since they were at the school gates, their unexpected scene cause the passing students to look over.

" I have punched you and our homeroom teacher informed us that you didn't attend the school yesterday because you caught a fever. It was because of me right? "

Tokio felt a headache. He decided to just finish this problem already before something happens. Smirking, he decided to think about a good plan.

" Yes. "

" As expected... "

Risa sighed and looked more sad and ashamed herself. It looked like she would cry, but Tokio decided to not keep Risa keep moping around.

" You feel guilty about what have you done but it was also partly my fault. So how about we just forget it? Or if you weren't satisfied with just forgetting about the problem, how about you play duel monsters against me next week? "

" Duel Monsters? "

Risa muttered with confusion. As for the other club members they are also clueless about it.

" It was a card game and it was just released yesterday. "

Tokio replied to ease her confusion. After a while, she answered and her gloomy attitude was gone.

" Okay! Next week we would play these duel monsters! "

Tokio smiled seeing Risa's determination. But it didn't last long when he heard someone call to him.

" You bastard! "

Tokio glanced in the direction where the familiar voice came from. He then regretted his decision and feel his body turning cold. Besides an angry approaching Miho, was a frowning Anzu. But it wasn't just the two girls. There are 3 people with them. Honda, the beautification club member, the recently turned over into a new leaf, Joey Wheeler or Jonouichi Katsuya, and finally, the currently clueless and innocent-looking Muto Yugi, and hanging on his neck was the millennium puzzle.

‘Well, fuck....’

Suddenly, there was the illusion of continuous whispers of 'Yami no Game' inside his mind.

" Yo, Miho and Anzu-san! Oh, Mayumi-chan looks like you're classmates came to collect you. Anyway, Risa, don't you dare to go back on your word, Okay? "

After saying those words, Tokio immediately dashes away and ignores the angry scream coming from Miho.
