Ethan

I rang the bell and waited, rocking back and forth on my heels.

Matt greeted me as he opened the door, "Hey, Ethan. Come on in."

I thanked him and started a small conversation as I stepped into the living room.

Sophie's head popped through the kitchens' door. "Hello, Ethan. Have a seat. Skye will be down in a minute."

My heart danced very time I heard the mention her name.

I nodded, "Thank you."

"Would you like something to drink?" She asked.

"Nothing, thank you."

I took my time to look around, seeing where everything went in her house. The colors of the walls, the set of cushions, the picture on the selves, the shapes on the carpet, everything that I missed before. Filling up the memories from when I was blind with shapes appearance and physical materials instead of only touch, sound and smell. And she was in every single one of those memories.

As soon as I sat down I jumped right back up, I was too nervous to stay in one place. I heaved a long heated breath and started to pace around. Telling myself to inhale and exhale in an attempt to get myself to relax only had my nerves in a tighter twist.

She already took my breath away when I was blind, and now... now I was in  a heap of doting infatuation.

Ah! My poor heart!

"I'm ready!" Her sweet voice had me spinning.

Every time I saw her she set me in this state where I became both scattered yet kept me collected at the same time. I no longer knew if I was coming or going. Neither did I knew if was inhaling or exhaling. All thoughts left me and all words paled in her presence. I could never stop drinking in the sight of her.

"Hey you..." my voice came out gruff. I cleared my throat, "You look amazing!"

Skye blushed and averted her eyes, "Thank you. So do you."

That pout of her lips was calling me. Taunting me, mercilessly.

When she looked at me again, our eyes locked and my heart skipped out of rhythm.

"You never told me where you're taking me," she said and took slow steps towards me.

Mimicking her I took slow steps towards her as well, "Actually I thought we could go for a real date. And when I say real I mean all cheesy with a movie and pizza." Then I shrugged taking one slow step after the other, "And maybe show you some of my favorite places."

She smiled, "Sounds awesome!"

It was that smile I've heard countless times in her words. The one I was entirely fond of even before I saw it.

We came to a stop as there was no more space left between us. She looked like a dream and that sweet smell of her perfume was filling my lungs and creating sensational madness inside me.

"I still can't believe that this is real..." I tugged a strand of her soft hair behind her ear, drowning in the blue of her eyes, "I still can't believe that I can see you."

My hand cupped her cheek and she covered it with hers, "And I still can't believe that you are mine." My arms rounded her tiny waist locking behind her, bringing her closer.

Skye's arms rounded my neck her fingers running through the hair at the back of my head, sending delicious shivers down my spine.

When she spoke her words held a promise, "Well, you better believe it because we have our whole lives ahead of us. We have prom and then college and then every day after that. I want to visit all your favorite places and find some more to call ours. I want you in my life, now and forever."

I pulled her closer, my heart in a blissful content, "There is nothing I would want more. I love you Skye."

She leaned in and whispered against my lips, "And I love you."
