And just like that,

life became lot sweeter.

"Wait...what?" I look between Chris and the doctor. Chris looks stunned like me, while the doctor looks at us amused. "You are expecting a new life in eight months." He says slowly to me and then turns to Chris. "And you, Alpha King, should be ready to satisfy every little craving she's going to have in the next nine months." Chris looks perplexed. While I laugh, he stares at the monitor in wonder. Just an hour ago, we were saying how cute it would be to have a mini-me and him running around, and now I'm pregnant. "I'll leave you alone, Alpha and Luna." He says, walking out of the room and shutting the door. "Chris?" He doesn't seem to snap out of the bubble he's in. "Chris!" I guess yelling is the way to go since that brings him back to me.

"Are you okay? Are you not happy?" I know Chris, and I know he's going to be happy. There is a hint of fear, though. What if he feels that it's too soon? A baby will change our relationship forever, and how we will handle it is a mystery."Of course not, love. It was unexpected, that was it. Why would I be unhappy if a child is born out of the love we have for each other?" "Can I get a hug?" I ask with a big smile, and with a big smile, he too answers. "You don't even have to ask. You can get a kiss as a bonus too." I have no idea about pregnancies, so I don't know if our baby can understand anything in the first month of its life in my tummy, but if the baby does understand, it can already feel the love from both his daddy and mummy. My parents will be delighted to be grandparents for the first time, but my dad may hunt him down. This baby will not only make us happy but the whole werewolf community. The next Alpha King or Alpha Queen will be born in eight months. Of course, he or she will have the chance to choose their or path in life, whether that is a normal life or the throne and that is not negotiable.

A few days later, I can say it's too hard keeping a secret like this. Thankfully, I don't have morning sickness, but I can't hide my appetite. Everybody has noticed it, but Chris and I blame it on me feeling better and needing more strength. We decided to announce it today, firstly to our families and then to our pack. If we postpone it for later, I'll break.

"Is everything ready? They're getting suspicious." Chris says as I place the last thing needed, the pregnancy test. It was weird to be doing it, already knowing the result, but I thought it would go well with the idea I had in mind. "Yes, you can call them in." I stand on the side, and Chris joins me after he has called everyone inside. "What are you up to, you two? All this secrecy baffles me!" Mum exclaims, and Chris's mother agrees. I bet when they see, they will eat their words. They still don't know anything, and I'm already on the verge of crying. Just imagine what will happen when our mothers are crying their eyes out.

My dad is the first one to notice something on the table, and he with Chris's dad walk towards it. They read it, but it takes time for it to set in. They look between me, Chris, and my stomach. "Is this true?" My dad asks, and my mum immediately tries to understand what he is asking. "Is what true?" When she doesn't get an answer from anybody, she also checks the stuff on the table. "I'm going to be a grandma!" She screams in Joy. When Chris's mum hears this, she runs full speed to us, engulfing us in a massive hug. "It's about time life smiled at you too!" She exclaims, crying tears of joy. Everybody takes turns hugging and congratulating us, and then they converse with each other, already thinking of name ideas, gender, features of the baby, things they could teach the baby once it's older, etc.

Much to Chris's dismay, he did get a scolding from my dad for "knocking up" his daughter and a threat in case he hurts me or our baby, but he also got a hug from my dad and a welcome to the family. It was the first time for our parents, siblings, us, and everyone we love to be together and celebrate something good. Our best friends knew beforehand, seeing as they're not here with us, living their lives in their packs. They immediately assumed they would become the Godmother and Godfather, but after teasing them for a little bit, they were assured they are. Now the only thing left is making it known to our pack, and that is a whole operation. It's going to be so much fun!

Thank you so much for tuning in for another update!

Please excuse me if I made a mistake! I haven't had a baby yet, and I haven't been to a gender reveal, pregnancy announcement, or doctor's appointment, so if I make a mistake, please forgive me.

I hope you're doing all good. Being healthy and happy!

Have a good rest of your day, and I'll see you in the next update! Bye!
