If I had a flower or every time

I thought of you, I could walk

in my garden forever.

~Alfred Lord Tennyson

It's the 24th of December and the day of probably one of the most important days of my life. I'm getting married! It's been in the works for quite some time. We were supposed to get hitched a few months prior, but one of the packs got attacked, and there were some casualties. Surely, the rogues were defeated, but still... Having a wedding when your people are mourning their loved ones seemed inappropriate to say the least. Tomorrow it's Christmas, and by tomorrow, Chris and I will officially be a married couple. I'm so excited just thinking about today. We will have people that love us present there, while our children actively participate in our big day. I'm already finished with my makeup and hair. Especially for my makeup, I wanted something more natural and clean. Nothing too heavy or over the top. That includes the hair as well.

"How are you feeling?" Mum asks as sits opposite me. "Just nervous, I guess. The kids?" I haven't seen the for an hour or two. I missed them! "Chris's mum is watching them. They're all dressed and ready to go." A comforting silence takes over. "It's time to put on the dress." Mum says as the clock strikes 4:30.

As we arrive at the church, my dad pulls me in for a hug and then kisses my forehead. "You have come so far! I'm so proud of you and the woman you have become!" "Thank you, Dad. It means the world to me! I'm lucky to have you and mum as my parents!" Dad links his arm with mine, and we stand in front of the closed door. "It's time," Dad says. I take a deep breath as the music starts and the door opens. Getting closer and closer to Chris, the tears in his eyes became more and more noticeable. The guests are beaming with happiness while our children are looking around in wonder. "Take good care of her and my grandchildren." "I will," Chris promises. Chris kisses me softly. "You look stunning." He whispers slightly, and we both turn to the priest.

"You may kiss the bride." The priest says, and Chris wastes no time in pulling me in for a soft yet passionate kiss. We take the children from our parents and run to the awaiting car. We decided to host a small celebration to celebrate both our wedding and Christmas together. We won't be going on a honeymoon because we don't to be away from our children that long. Maybe once Christmas has passed we will go on a family vacation.

"You're married!" Zoey squeals as she hugs me tightly. "How does it feel now that you have joined the married club?" "I dunno," I shrug. "Right now, I see no difference. I think I will feel it as time passes by, I guess." We gush over our children and our new lives as mothers. Motherhood is something out of my water. As time passes, I find more and more joy in being a mother. Our little girls are more of daddy's girls, but Constantine is a mommy's boy. Whenever I'm out of his field of view, he stops whatever he's doing, and he searches for me. He and I are attached to the hip. What's worth noting is that he's shown signs of a true leader. Whenever he and his sister fight out, he's the one to talk it out. "Mommy!" Little Constantine shouts as he runs full speed towards me. I pick him up, settling him on my hip. "Stella won't wake up!" He complaints. "Honey, your sister is a baby. She needs more sleep." I tried telling him plenty of times, but he always forgets. The bond he and Stella has is remarkable. Whenever she cries, he's the first one in her room. Whenever we bottle-feed her, he wants to be the one to do it. Chris appears out of nowhere, takes Constantine from my arms, and hands him to Zoey. "Let's dance." He simply says as AJ Mitchell and Ava Max's song 'Slow Dance' starts.

"Are you having fun?" Chris asks as we sway to the music. "I'm having the time of my life. I know, though, that when we go to sleep I'll sleep like a rock!" No joke, the past few days I haven't slept a wink. Chasing the kids around, Stella came down with a cold, and the wedding jitters kept me awake. It didn't help that Chris was away for some last-minute meetings. It blows my mind that tomorrow when I wake up, I'll be a married woman. And the best moments keep coming up! In two months, we will be crowned King & Queen in front of the eyes of all packs. "She's been crying non-stop!" My mum says, rushing with a red-faced Stella, and Mariah and Constantine trailing behind her. "Hand her to me," Chris says, and to our surprise, Stella's crying and screaming instantly seize to exist. "She just wanted her daddy!" We all laugh with Stella as she plays with her dad's bow tie. Chris picks up Mariah with his other arms while I hold Constantine. We all start swaying slightly to the music.

It's mind-blowing how life has changed in a few years. I went from the lonely and bullied girl to a mother, wife, and soon-to-be queen. Life gets better, it just needs patience and time. I'm the perfect example of that. Whatever is going on in your life, just remember that everything gets better. We will all find our happily ever after. Whether it's in a form of a man, a family, a success, a way of life, or anything else.

You guys are amazing! Just seeing how much love this story has gathered has made me starstruck. I don't know how I can show you how grateful I am! As a small gift, I decided to post this chapter. It's a bit rushed, but I promise I'll post another one soon. Thank you so much from the bottom of my heart!
