Erika's POV
I felt the warmth of Jakes arms wrapped around me quickly ripped away.

E: Jc what's wrong?

Jc: what's going on between you and Jake?

E: nothing

Jc: then why is he the first person you called for?

E: he's the first person I knew that I saw.

Jc: Jake why-

J: don't talk to me I'm going home-

E: wait what happened?

J: yeah what happened Jc?

Jc: come on Mikey

E: what happened Jc?

J: I got up because you never came back from the bathroom and Jc here decided that the other students in the classroom were more important than you. You're his little sister, he talks this big fvcking game about how whatever you want you get and how he'll protect you no matter what. But he was just gonna let you be by yourself wherever you were while someone was walking around the halls of this school with a gun. Sh•t like that just p•sses me off. Jc sure can talk the talk but I'm not so sure he can walk the walk.

E: Jc?

Jc: are you really gonna believe him over me?

E: you haven't even tried to defend yourself, like at all.

Jc: Mikey there were 15 other students in that classroom.

E: if the roles were reversed I wouldn't have given a single crap about anyone's life except yours. Not even Sunny's.

Jc: Mikey

E: my names Erika.....Jake can you take me home please.

J: yeah

E: I'll see you guys Monday.

I grabbed my bag and we left to Jakes car.

We got in the car wasn't moving.

E: are you gonna drive?

J: what do you wanna do with the baby?

E: can we talk about this later

J: no we can't, we're gonna talk about this now. I know what I wanna do.

E: I wanna get an abortion.

J: absolutely not!

E: I'm 17 a junior and you're 18 about to completely finish high school. My parents will kick me out I will have no where to go. We can't raise a baby and go to school. You said yourself that you wanted to move to away as soon as you graduated, how are we supposed to do that if you are wherever you are and I'm here? And-

J: if your parents kick you out you can live with me and my mom until you give birth, I'll get a job and save up for an apartment for us to live in, I'll stay in Ohio. When I graduate and you're able to go back to school I'll watch the baby at the apartment and then no abortion will be needed.

E: a 3 bedroom apartment, and your room better be big enough for me to bring my bed or at least buy a twin sized to sleep in because I'm not sleeping in a bed with you.

J: *smiles* deal

E: now drive me home.

Jake started the car and we made our way to my house.

E: you only came looking for me because of the baby didn't you.

J: what?

E: you have hated me for years the Jake I know would've never went to come and look for me.

J: I'm not sure how to answer that question except. The baby did have a huge impact in how much I wanted to go and find you but if there was another shooter and you were alone and not pregnant I wouldn't just let you be alone and scared for an hour.

I smiled a little and looked out the window.

E: I think I want to tell Jc with my parents you tell Tony whenever.

J: uh okay

E: you can tell your brother whenever but don't let it slip around your parents.

J: okay I got it. I can tell Tony and my brother not my parents.

E: we have a doctors appointment at 7am tomorrow

J: holy sh!t babies wake up that early?

E: *giggles* yeah babies wake up really early or really late you never know until a certain age.

J: okay 7am

E: I'll meet you at the doctors office at 6:45am you always have to be 15 minutes early for a doctors appointment.

J: okay 6:45 doctors office I got it. Now you change my name from a$$hole to Jake in your phone and I'll change yours to Erika.

E: what's mine in yours?

J: we're here

E: 6:45 Jake

J: bye! Call me if you need anything

E: I will.

I went in the house and my parents were actually home.

An: Erika!

E: oh hey mom...

D: not surprised to see us?

E: I mean it's been one month.

One hell of a month.

An: well Jc's already in the kitchen waiting for us because I dinner we just decided to wait for you.

E: well thanks for waiting for me.

I put my stuff down and took off my shoes and went to the kitchen and sat down.

My mom start putting spaghetti on our plates.

D: Jc said that Jake gave you a ride home?

E: yeah I asked him too.

An: your arch nemesis?

E: yeah he seemed to be the only person who cared that I was alone during a school shooting.

An: well that's sweet

E: he said no matter how much he hates me he's not just gonna let me be alone and scared while a guy roams the halls with a gun. He at least tried to come and get me, Jc only cared about the other students in the room.

D: sounds like Jake is developing a little crush on you

E: far from- *gags*

Spaghetti is literally my favorite food in the world and right now I couldn't want to be more far away from it than right now.

An: what's wrong

I got up and ran to the bathroom and threw up. After I rinsed my mouth out and came back out I sat down and pushed my plate away.

D: Erika spaghetti is your favorite food

E: um I'm just in the mood for some pizza tonight

Jc: so you threw up?

E: uh I had something caught in my throat earlier and it finally decided to come up. But spaghetti is a no for me tonight. Sorry mom I really do appreciate you making it though.

An: it's fine dear

D: do you want me to go get your pizza?

E: no I'm gonna eat at the pizza place. I'll be back around 9

An: alright be careful I love you

E: love you too.

I went to the front door, put my shoes on, put my jacket on, and left.
