Erika's POV
I'm at school by my locker telling the girls about what happened yesterday but leaving out the parts that could embarrass Jake in anyway. I left the house early so he wouldn't remember me being there yesterday. I didn't get much sleep last night because I spent most of the night packing all of the shoes that I was selling and I had Logan drive me down to the post office and had them shipped to wherever. Once we got back to the house I put Jakes shoes at the bottom of the closet and finally went to sleep.

S: the guy is completely wasted and still somehow finds a way to make you cry by complimenting you.

R: and he tells you how much he loves you.

E: yeah yeah I'm just gonna take it one step at a time tonight at prom I'll just ask him to be my prom date.

S: why not ask him in the limo?

E: cause I don't want to ask him in front of you guys

R: ugh I can never get a good show, Sunny I don't get how you have so much fun with this couple she is literally hiding her emotions right now.

S: but just wait when their together she's like bird Free!

E: I never said we're not getting divorced

R: mhm

Sunny and Rocky walked away and I rolled my eyes and got in my locker.

Jakes POV
I walk in school and Anthony is standing next to my locker and hands me some pills.

J: what are these for?

A: Tylenol for your hangover

J: if I had a hangover it would be like you're screaming right now and how did you know I was drinking last night?

A: that's because I'm talking with a really low voice and you texted me, "Don't worry about me bro I'm sleeping in my guest bedroom because the dragon lady with the pretty purple feet is in my room!!!🐰".

J: I wonder who the Dragon lady with the pretty purple feet is. There was no one in my room this morning. I also don't know why you would worry about me sleeping in my guest bedroom.

A: you going to prom?

J: um I don't know

A: okay I'll take that as a yes I'll be at your place to get ready at 6 we're picking the girls up at 7

J: I guess I'm going to prom

A: and don't be so down about it maybe you and Erika will get to dance, it's your first and last prom smile more.

J: hard to do that when you're not sure if your wife is going to divorce you or not because your best friend convinced you she was cheating on you when really she was just getting you on a baseball team.

A: Jake you said you forgave me.

J: I know and I'm just saying now that's it's hard to smile.

I walked away from Anthony and went to class.

Erika's POV
I was sitting in class when Jake walked in and there was only one open seat and of course it had just HAD to be next to be next to me.

Jake came and sat down and kept quiet.

Oh god did I make a mean face? Do I make him uncomfortable now? Ugh calm down Erika it's a free period talk to him or something he's still your husband.

E: hey

J: oh hey

E: what's wrong

J: not really expressing you to try and spark up a conversation with me right now.

E: oh, are you excited for prom?

J: no not really Anthony's making me go.

E: well it is your first and last prom.

J: well I kinda did this thing where I let my best friend get in my head so now I don't have a date and my wife once told me going stag is just sad. (NOT TRUE JUST PART OF THE STORY) But I have no right to complain it's all my fault. Plus I'm nominated for prom king lucky me right?

E: well I'm going stag

J: you're going with Sunny

E: her ex is going to be there and she is still 100% in love with him and he is still 100% in love with her and she's going to ask him to be her boyfriend again so they'll probably spend the night together.

J: well I'm sure you'll figure something out Erika or you can just skip prom you always have next year.

E: my dress cost $500 dollars I'll be d•mned if no one sees it and my shoes where like....one second-

J: $1,125.79

E: I bought those shoes 3 months ago how'd remember the exact price?

J: because I bought them and they cost $1,125.79 and because I knew you wanted this day to be one of the most memorable days of your life because you weren't sure if would be able to go to next years prom because what if the baby was sick or was sad or you just didn't want to leave him or her. But here we are now no baby and on the road to a divorce.

I just looked at him and didn't say anything I just admired him all of his features. As I said in that bed in bora bora he is absolutely perfect from his personality to even his morning voice. He put so much meaning behind a pair of shoes.

*bell rings*

J: I'll see you at 7

E: bye
