As Jason took care of a certain "something" outside, Y/n held the crumpled letter in her hands.

"Hmmm..." Examining the recipient's name, you nodded at the correct address.
"Yup, it's from Lilith of course. I knew she'd write back as fast as she could." Chuckling at the thought of your best friend motorbiking to the post office and demanding the fastest service while the cashier trembled in fear, made you nervous at the content that was held between the paper and envelope. Settling back on the couch, you tore across at the end of the wilted paper, and pulled out the long awaited scolding. Taking a deep inhale, you started to read. The first line immediately created a lump in your throat.

"DAMMIT Y/N!"

Flinching, you awkwardly let out a breath. "Oh dear, now I've done it..." Continuing while picking at the corners, you braced yourself.

"I KNOW YOU DID NOT JUST DO THIS TO ME!!! TO USSS!!!! AAAHHHHHH

Ink bleeding through the back, you could tell that she was writing over the "scream" many times.

"I'm going to take a deep breath (and a huge gulp of wine) and try to understand what the actual crap bag you've gotten yourself into. Ugh, great now I'm using baby swears. Look what you've done! I need you to come back and fix thissss D:<"

You snorted at the poorly drawn frowny face.

"Are you coming back? Who is this mystery man?! Do I need to kick his ass for you?! I don't care how "caring" he seems, he better have not forced you to write that corny letter.. Though I know you'd write that kind of mushy stuff LOL"

Rolling your eyes with a smile, you picked up the second page.

"Anyway, here's my new number: (96x)-x7x-8x7x I may or may not have broken my phone when I victory threw it down like a football... To be fair, I finally beat Mia in that stupid kart racing game. It's her turn to do the dishes now muahaha!"

You knew Lil's girlfriend was an Italian Racing Kart game God. She never lost and always made her do the dishes after. "I wonder how she did it? She might've let her win, hehe."

"Love you Pet, you know I worry about you. We all do. I'm sure your mom will be sending you a letter next, since we both got em at the same time. I might have pulled some strings to get you mine first though.. (If a guy name Ernie calls you, I've left the country.")

"I knew it."
"Poor guy."

"I hope you contact us soon. Stay safe! Oh yeah, Mia says hi. "

The penmanship then suddenly changed to a more elegant gentle style.

"Hello dear~~ it's Mia!! Lil is mad I took the pen but I want you to know I support you, as long as you're safe!! Love you hun! (p.s.: I DID let her win ;) )
SHE DIDN'T was scribbled next to Mia's message.

"They're so cute together."

Folding the letter back to its original state and placing it neatly inside the sleeve, you made your way to the door to check on Jason, and inform him on the new information.

Opening the door, the you met with a blood covered man, who peered innocently down at you.
"Let's get you cleaned up, shall we?" He nodded and followed you to the bathroom.

After a nice steamy hot bath; which you were charmed into joining, you decided to give your friend a call. It seemed it was time to face the music. Both wrapped in fluffy robes, Jason decided to keep you company and make sure the call went smoothly.
Briskly dialing her number, you sat at the counter while he dried your hair behind you.

The tone beeped in suspense. Holding your breath you twirled the phone cable wire.
Nothing.
Trying again, you waited.
Nada.
Third time's a charm right??
...Unfortunately not.

"What on Earth??" Then it hit you.
You felt heat rise up your neck to your cheeks.

IT'S DATE NIGHT!

She NEVER answers the phone when Mia is at their place. Because it was their unwritten rule not to be distracted or interrupted
"Seriously Lil.." Fanning yourself with a huff, you couldn't believe it. "I told her that was a bad idea. What about emergencies!!" "So much for "call me as soon as you can"..."

Jason finished up tying your hair into a french braid and admired his work.
 "Done?" He nodded.

"Thank you dear." Planting a kiss on his cheek, his ears turned to a tint of pink.

He shook his head, meaning it was no big deal. Pointing to the phone, he did his famous head tilt.
Sighing, you shook your head back.
"No dice, it's date night for my friend and her girlfriend." He nodded and reached out to take your hand in his. Kissing the ends of your fingers, his eyes sparkled with deeper intentions.

"Jeez. He's so bold these days. Not that I'm complaining of course."

This time it was your turn to eagerly follow him up to your shared bedroom, to have a date night of your own. Hopefully by morning you would receive notice from your mother, and get to dial your friends' soon. But right now, all you were focusing on was Jason. You didn't know how things would turn out. But there was no reason not to try. What's the point of love if you won't fight for it? The camp was just an excuse, even though the children played a big part in your life. But now, Jason was the only thing you wanted to think about. Was this healthy? Was it a mistake? Snuggled into his arms, you didn't care.

"If it was only him and me in the world... I wonder if it'd still be this happy..."

Jason.
Jason.
Jason.

You are all I need... right?

 RIGHT?
