After all the emotional exhaustion, all you wanted to do was relax. It was going fairly well until teenagers starting camping out near the camp grounds since it was late summer and you guessed they wanted a story to take back to school. "The Infamous Jason Voorhees."  Or to you; your loyal and lovable boyfriend.

Soon the kills were more often and every time you were about to get "intimate," the bells would ring in the makeshift tunnel Jason and you had cleaned up and hung out at sometimes. The rats deserved a better home after all. You would beg him to ignore it but his strong sense of duty was too strong that not even smooches could stop him.
Movie nights in the main cabin getting interrupted too was getting on your nerves, no matter how patient you were. Once you reached a good part of the film, the giggles of aroused teens would make you both huff and reach for the remote. And don't even get on the laundry subject. Blood stains have never been such a pain in your life, and you had your fair share of "lady accidents."

It had been a couple of months before you decided to stay with Jason. But you were getting anxious and worried about your job, for friend and roommate Lilith, and of course your mother. You wrote letters back and forth but they seemed to be getting more concerned about what you were even doing there so long. You were running out of excises that's for sure. It was time to have a talk with your killer soulmate, and you were not ready for it. What if he wouldn't let you go back for a visit? Would he leave you? The "what if"s clouded your head the entire day when you got a letter saying you should come home. Home? Home is where Jason is. Where the kids were. You were too emotionally attached to leave now.

"Morning, you." Planting a kiss on the side his head, you greeted Jason who was waking up himself at the kitchen table.
Nodding in recognition, he squeezed your hand as you took your place next to him. It was so natural now you felt as if you had sat there every morning for years.
Sighing, you gave a big stretch and rested your chin in your palm on the table, looking at nothing in particular. Noticing your unfocused eyes, Jason nudged your foot, bringing you back.
"Hmm? Oh, sorry. I've just been thinking a lot lately..." Laughing it off, you sat upright nervous, under your worried lover's intense gaze.
Pulling out the notepad you gave him and a proper pencil, he quickly jotted down a message.
"Want to talk about it?"

You smiled in appreciation, chest swelling with pride at his progress. Lately you've been helping him write better and with him being the quick learner he is, it didn't take long to grasp the concepts of writing. He was no Shakespeare, but it was even easier to know what was on his mind.

"It's about my Mom and Lilith." You couldn't meet his eyes. The air felt tense as you struggled to find your words."I just think it's time for me to, you know-"
Notebook slamming suddenly on the table, Jason stood up abruptly causing you to flinch in shock.
"Jason?"
Stomping off, you watched him grab his mask off the counter and head to the front door. Hurrying after him, you called out for him again. But it fell on deaf ears as he slammed the door, leaving you there in utter disbelief.
"What just happened?"

You wanted to go after him, to explain that you only wanted to let them know you were okay, but you knew not to bother him when he was riled up. Wishing he would come back, you went back to the kitchen to make some food. Maybe he'd come back if he smelled breakfast cooking...

Off in the woods Jason huffed down to the docks where he had made a bench for him and is dear Y/n. Sitting slowly he looked off to the lake, watching as the morning birds flew around and ducks swam peacefully. Why had she said that? Did she want to leave already? He racked his brain, desperate to put together why she had been so nervous to tell him something. It wasn't like when they had confessed to each other a while back, she didn't look happy.
Spotting the carving on the bench seat, he traced the engraved words with his finger.

"Jx[your first initial] 4ever"
"There!" Giggling, Y/n, stepped back to admire her work.
Jason peaked over her shoulder and grinned. Picking her up, he twirled her around as she protested in laughs.
"Stop it I'm gonna throw up!"
Letting her feet touch the ground, he beamed as she kissed his cheek.
"See? I told you it'd be okay."
Without missing a beat, he outstretched his hand in a "gimmie" motion.
Chuckling, she placed the sharp tool in his hand.
"Yes yes, here you are."

His heart warmed at the memory. They were so happy together. So.. why?

"Jason my sweet boy, calm down. I'm sure she won't leave. I won't let her leave." His mother slightly threatened. As he tensed, he then soon felt as if she was smiling. "Since she doesn't want to. Hear her out sweetheart, I know you can do it. Do it for me, do it for your love."

He suddenly felt guilt as leaving so fast and so harshly. What if had scared you? Collecting himself, he hurried off back to you to apologize. He prayed you'd forgive him. He needed you more than life itself.

Inhaling deeply, you smirked at your spread. Bacon and eggs with waffles on the side! Perfect. You made a small fruit salad as well for the nutrients. Placing a vase with flowers from your garden as a center piece, you clapped in delight.
"Y/n, you still got it!" Praising yourself, you admired your work.
"I hope he likes it..." Sitting down, you served the plates.

The door opened soon after, like a wish had been granted. Before you could react, Jason had made it to you, mask in hand, resembling a sad puppy that had just been caught in the rain.

"Oh honey. I'm sorry I upset you." Caressing his cheek, you wiped the imaginary tear with your thumb, that looked like it would fall at any given moment.

Shaking his head, he held your hand against his face.

"Here, let's have breakfast okay? Then we can talk." Hungry and agreeing, he sat down across from you, ready to relish in your presence and the delicious meal you had prepared.

Yep. Sitting together just felt so right.
