He opened his eyes feeling the hands of a certain girl tightly wrapped around his waist. He decided to stay in that position thinking about the night before due to being uncertain as to what to do and because he strangely enjoyed her touch.

She had opened up a little to him, and that was great because he got the chance to know her more. He enjoyed her company, her voice in that quiet world where he was the only one breathing in that oxygen, but sharing that element was comforting and encouraging. Yet at times he felt like she was planning to kill him. Such as her momentarily alarming stares, her words, her moves, and simply the way she always showed restraint of a wild tiger inside.

"Oi" he raised his arm and attempted to look behind at the attached leach. "Oi" he said slightly louder.

"Mm" she just hugged tighter. She looked pretty as she breathed in complete tranquillity.

"Taiga" he spoke out "wake up" he said as he tried to get out of her strong grip that held him down.

She opened her eyes slowly and looked at him in a sleepy way. She then timidly took her arms away realizing their position, sitting up . "Aye captain" she timidly said with redden ears "what's the plan today?"

"Survive, clothing, and lab." he stood up and walked out the room allowing her to stay to get ready for their day. He climbed down and began to wash his mouth with water.

They ate edible plants and Senku finished the clothing afterwards. He sat on the ground  struggling to measure and sew the sleeves. "Here" she said as she held it for him after watching him struggle for about minutes.

"Thanks"

She took the needle out his hands and sew the top of it, so that they knew where it had to go. Which took some time.

"Don't move!" She gently yelled

"Well, don't poke me with the needle"

"I didn't"

Senku placed a poker face as he wanted to say 'really?'

"Sorry" she admitted "but don't move or I'll be poking you accidentally" she blushed nervous about her task. It was simple, but she was afraid to fail. Her hands shook being close to the stranger, yet she relaxed as she realized there was no threats, and that he had not harmed her before even when he had the chance. Instead, he had comforted her, taken care of her. She smiled as she pulled the needle, telling him to take it off as she would continue to work on it without him wearing it.

He saw her smile and he couldn't avoid but feel triumphant about it. She was going easy, her gentle side out. He left her to continue sewing the clothing as he went out to do the more harder work, such as the wood cutting for the lab, and checking the traps which consisted of killing, dragging and skinning.

While he was gone, Taiga finished sewing the clothes and she ended up making a coat with neck sides, and some kind of shorts to work as underwear. She planned to utilize some rope to tie the coat and shorts like a belt.

He returned and he found her standing up showing him the coat with vivacious moves like a kid who got its present. She ran up to him, handing him the clothing with excitement.

He smirked at finally having clothing. A step closer to his desired science civilization. He wore the coat that fitted him well, and then opened it up to examine it showing his abs without importance. He then let loose the leafs that hid his intimate parts without a warning.

She gave him space walking away to smoke the fish she took out of his hands, looking away shy about his daring actions as she listened to his voice. Apparently, Senku explained as he placed the shorts, their traps didn't get anything, but the fish traps trapped plenty of fish.

He was glad she wasn't there to kill the fishes, he was certain she would struggle.

He had made the smoking set up along with the fish traps. Convinced that they would catch some. Taiga didn't doubt him on that, she knew he was a genius. She gave a glance back to check on his location observing him tie his shorts as his coat laid open showing his formidable abs. She returned her focus placing the fish on smoking set up to give him privacy. She heard his voice get closer and she looked up to see a handsome boy who wore clothing. eyeing him up down. He kept speaking about his journey and observations.

"You look great" she interrupted as she stared at the handsome boy who stood smirking like a magazine model.

"Thanks" he smirked. A small notification appeared. Shiny monkey clothing acquired.

She smiled back staring at his smirk until she decided it was time to look away. He made planks

and they began to build, while they checked on the fishes' cooking progress. Once the fishes were ready they ate, and return to work.

Night soon came, and they both went to their bed. That night Taiga was found silently crying, and Senku decided to sleep with her again, to avoid themselves from depriving from sleep. Yet, they had a long conversation before it. Speaking about their parents.

She spoke little about them, and made Senku ramble about his father. He realized what she was doing, and made her speak, yet she still kept information hidden and Senku knew that, but he didn't pressure. Instead, he brought up a conversation about the cure.

"Do you think there's a missing ingredient?"

"There has to be." He confessed "or maybe there's certain rule about it." He then turned around to look at her "Taiga, were you conscious these 3700 years?"

"Yes"

"What kept you awake?" he curiously asked.

"Anything" she explained yet like always she knew he wanted more as she looked his eyes ask for it "family, the situation, what was happening to Earth. Memories. About life stuff, drawings, stories, songs, anything" she listed as he stared at his crimson eyes. "You were counting, correct?"

"Yeah"

"Why did you count again?" She asked attempting to remember his exact words.

"The dates will come in handy when figuring out the timing of each person getting out of their shell. And to know how much time we have till winter too."

"Winter" she murmured

"Winter is not that far. It'll be ten billion percent harder to seek our resources, and do anything else other than retain our heat." He sighed looking at the future as he remembered the little taste of winter's medicine they got that one day "We must be ready for it. We'll begin to make your clothing, and then we'll make more blankets to be cautious"

"Of course" she nodded with a sweet smiled, her tears long gone. He turned around and murmured a command about sleep. He then jumped a little at a feeling, melting into the touch she hesitantly gave against his back falling asleep as if he were shot with a sleeping dart.

Days passed by with them working on the lab, surviving, and sleeping. Filled with Taiga's laughter, and Senku's brilliancy and wittiness.

Senku saw her open a little more up to him. Being more easy on the defensiveness causing her to be more playful around him. Yet, she seem to be simply shy at times.

"Senku" she meekly called out his name. The young boy looked at her direction "how do you know eggs aren't fully developed?"

Senku stood confused. Taiga had been sent to gather edible plants, water, and check the traps, and Senku had stayed to do the lab which was half way done with her help from the past days.

She always helped him with the lab after finishing her duties, then at night they ate and set themselves to make pots, tools, baskets, or anything at task. At last they slept, and repeated their routine with small changes and different tasks.

So when Taiga asked a question out of the blue, which almost gave Senku a heart attack again because he didn't know she was there. It required more information to understand fully the situation.

But before he could answer she explained "I saw some eggs from some nests." She pointed towards the forest with an innocent scare like face "Would it be good to take them?" She was insecure about it. Killing some babies, and then what if they broke them and they ended up having a bird almost developed inside.

He stood up with a smirk, his back full of pain from bending ten billion times to gather planks to build their lab. "You should know by the weight of it. The yolk should be able to be felt if you shake the egg. Though, in reality it is simple probability. It's not possible to know for sure unless you witness the production"

"Let's go for it." He said exited for a distinct meal.

Taiga led Senku to the tree she found the nest, she smirked and looked at Senku. He read her mind, she was wondering how in earth they were going to climb the tree, since they had no rope. Senku thought of using his clothing's rope but it wouldn't be enough to loop it around to climb.

"Get on my shoulders"

She got spooked "you sure you can carry me?"

"I'm relatively more stronger than you. I got greater mass than you therefore you should be the one on top"

He kneeled down and she sat on his shoulders. He struggled to get up. "You're heavy"he said in a breathy voice.

"Thank you!" she cheerfully said leaning down to look at him with a sweet smile.

"Oi! Don't move that much!" He yelled as he felt his balance go away when Taiga leaned forward. At first he thought she was being sarcastic but her tone and smile showed she was actually happy about it. He was surprised she felt praised.

Her hands were interlocked with his as she stood up from his shoulders, her legs shaking inevitably. She let loose and gathered the eggs. Senku looked up to see her progress.

"Don't look up!" She exclaimed looking down as she closed her legs slightly to avoid him from looking but not enough to cause them to fall.

"I am not!" He yelled looking down when he realized what he would see wasn't her face and progress only.

"You were!" she complained as she looked down.

"No I wasn't! Stop moving you moron!"

It became a comical scene as they argued with each other, losing balance and moving side to side.

"Lier! I am not moving, you are causing too much rampage!"

"I am not, you bubble head! You're causing me to lose my balance!" He groan as he angrily looked up making him to almost fall when she yelled to not look up again. "hurry up!!! Can't hold you much longer you bubblehead!"

"I am mister mad scientist!" She sarcastically exclaimed as she quickly grabbed the three of the four eggs from the nest. "Senku" she held the three medium eggs with one hand as the other searched for his to get down. "Take one" she gave an egg to him, knowing three were too much for her small hand to hold. She was either going to crush them, or drop one.

She was on the process of sitting down when Senku's legs failed and Taiga went forward since she was leaning towards the tree for balance, slipping from one side down.

Senku acted fast and caught her, but he didn't have the necessary strength to catch her so they both went down.

There was a moment of silence as Taiga had her eyes closed and Senku opened them. They both stood staring at each other when she opened her eyes as he held her tight in his arms yet in the ground. Staring in shock at him as he stared back with the same expression. His red eyes wide with a hint of  relief as they sat on the ground till they began to laugh.

"Yay!" She said "my hero~" she sweetly said giving off a gentle smile.

Their eggs were good, and when they cooked them, Taiga happily gave her portion to Senku who was more than gleeful eating his.

"No. You must eat. Your body needs nutrients to regain energy or how do you plan on moving?" he closed his eyes 'annoyed'.

"Captain, don't worry about me. I'll always help you. I don't require much food anyways." She looked away with a small nervous smile "...plus you make me happy" she said as she gave off her portion into his plate.

"Arigato" he murmured, not being able to argue back since she had already given her food and because he really wanted to eat the eggs. She hummed a 'your welcome' as she walked back to her seat.

She ate meat and Senku again ate making joyful sounds as he bit into his food. The witty scientist eating in joy as the tigress simply stared happily at his reactions.

The nights were a different story. Senku knew that at day, it was more probable to find her gentle side, to find her not being as cautious, to see her happy and hear her laughs he had grown accustom to. Yet, at night it was possible to find her wildness due to her being scared and knowing she was being vulnerable. Even then, Senku thought she looked vulnerably cute, too much to be true.

"Taiga, wake up you're having a nightmare" he shook her awake. In a blink he was backing away slightly as he felt a sharp tool against his neck as her gone murderous eyes stared him down into his soul.

He wanted to gulp, but he felt that if he moved a millimeter his throat would be ripped. Literally.

Her eyes soften and began to apologize profoundly at her reaction. Bowing down her head multiple times like Japanese custom. Her tears nonstop like a raining day.

He grasp his own throat and finally passing his saliva down his throat, slightly afraid of the Tigress.

"It's okay." He said in his usual monotone voice as he began to rub his neck, beginning to explain what had happened. "You were having a nightmare."

It became common for him to sleep beside her. He got used to the touch she gave, always drawing figures, and letters. At times, she ran her arms around him when he was "asleep", hugging him half way always, but ending up hugging him to no end.

They didn't sleep together all nights. Only when Senku found it necessary he would walked to her bed and settle down without a word. But night talks became frequent.

He stared at her brown eyes across the room as they spoke. Taiga being the one bringing topics other than science, yet he still roam off about science and she loved to listen to him, even if she got lost at times in his explanations.

"The aldehydes from the smoke kills the bacterias, so we don't get sick" he finished explaining.

She stood amazed at his knowledge as she listened to him. His mind fascinated her. "I didn't know that, actually I don't know anything much from whatever you say" she chuckle at the thought that mostly anything he said she didn't know. "But I love listening to you"

Nights full of the tigress and the genius interacting. Knowing each other. Simply, coexisting. A friendship building up day and night.

At the river, Taiga splash water at Senku as he leaned down to gather the clay.

"You little..." he gritted his teeth, Senku splashed water back. Beginning a water fight. He grabbed a pot and splash her water at her face. He then began splashing with his hands again but with more intensity resulting a winner. Stopping when she wiped her eyes as she laughed.

She then went right back into work without him telling her, a huge smile plastered on her face. Her hair and grass dress all dripping wet. Senku carried two pots filled with clay as she carried a small one handed by him. He then went to gather logs for the fire to cook the meat they had gathered, and to make planks for the lab in progress.

That night ended with them exhaustingly placing the pots into a corner and the baskets full of swallows beside it. The experiments began and he ended up like a zombie by the end of it from the anterior work.
