Taiga and senku soon began to work on creating pots, baskets, and most importantly clothing.

"I almost forgot" he analyzed Taiga "your injury"

"Oh no. It's okay, there is no broken bones or anything" she spoke rapidly placing her hands in front of her as she waved them around "really. There's nothing to worry. Its just a painful bruise" she said composing herself to be more credible and giving off a nervous smile.

"Alright" he said glad to not dive into an awkward situation realizing the location of her injury. He continue to skin the deer they had caught. Another one found hanging on one of the traps. Taiga was set to work on making planks to make a primitive bed after giving her instructions.

He turned around to see how she was doing, and she seemed to be concentrated on creating their bed. The bed was going to be created using wood and grass. He smirked. He saw her bite her lips, and took note of how much she did it. The corner of her lips seem red out of how much she bit them, and she didn't seem to realize her habit. He saw her thigh and stared at the deep purple spots she had, and a curing scratch from when the deer slam into a tree.

She turned around and smiled, waving. He acted cool and smiled back "how is it going?"

"I believe good" she said as she shrugged with a smile.

He kneel towards her aiding her in certain spots. "Today seems to be a normal, yesterday was a complete Alaska winter day"

"Yeah. We'll be working on clothing. It is necessary." An electrifying sensation waved around his body.

"Not going through that again." He thought.

Taiga accomplished to make the planks and was left weaving the grass process of the bed, while Senku worked on the clothing  "Taiga, we'll make your clothing first"

"No, go ahead and begin by yours" she answered "need help with the measurements?"

"I got it" he looked at the skins and began to work.

Taiga had wisely placed the water pots out in the clearing to get filled when it rained, so getting water was not necessary that day. She finished soon the weaving, and the room was dim due to the lack of sun.

"Done"

"Ten billion points for you!" She smiled backed at him showing him the result of bed she had built. She sat on it fearing it would break.

"Testing. Testing." She laid down and it didn't break. "Testing. Testing~" she kept repeating as she gave him her back cuddling in to a ball on the bed.

"We have lots of more work to do"

"sleeping people can't hear" she said with her eyes closed and with a smile plaster into her face that Senku could not see. She giggled slightly.

"Sleeping people don't laugh or speak"

Her laugh minimized. She turned around still laying down, peeking her head over the wood to see Senku. A small smile on her.

"What is it?"

"Nothing" her smile became bigger. Looking down into the floor, her hand hanging from the side. Their bed was a sort of hammock, the headsets were two big thin trunks at each end allowing the bed to levitate.

She huff as in a laugh, her smile as big as it was.

"What's the smile for?" He asked keeping his focus in his work.

Her smile became into a rough giggle. "I can't help and remember you chasing the deer" she began to laugh as she remembered more clearly.

A subtle glare came at her but he began to laugh with her admitting how pitiful he had probably looked.

"What can I help you with?" She asked after their small laugh break.

"Go ahead and rest. We have enough pots and baskets thanks to you." He kept sewing, checking every now and then the size of the clothing using his body "and there's no more clay. It's dark already for any of us to do anything."

"Alright, Captain~" she cheerfully said. She watched him work, until he ran out of skin.

"Up" he commanded

"Nah"

"Ha?"

She laid back, placing one of her legs up with an evil smirk.

"I'll push you off" he confronted as he poked his ear.

"You won't touch my body~. Rawr!"she defied him in a sing song voice making her hands into claws as she rwar. Laying side ways, a hand sustaining her head afterwards.

She stared at his face as he clearly showed concern, she kept staring until her mind click realizing her wording.

"No." Her eyebrows jumped and she sat up as she shook her arms around in denial "That's not what I meant! I meant like, we're" she spoke out to clear their misunderstanding, her sweet voice fading as she felt her cheeks redden slightly. Her eyes looked away as her voice faded. With a soft angry face. Almost pouty.

"What I meant was that. Two people don't go casually touching the other for any circumstance. Unless for any other alternative motive" She attempted to explain "especially people like you and me"

"How am I?" He said after reflecting on her words, his hand in his hip with a credulous look.

She gulped as she swinged her legs over, short enough for them not to touch the floor. They hanged dangling off the bed. "...focused..."

He stayed listening, yet he realized that was all she was going to say.

"Focus" he repeated attempting to comprehend if he was what she described.

She looked at him and smiled as she stood up. Allowing him to place the unfinished clothing into the bed. "The grass won't be annoying this way. Bring the blanket"

She stood up and brought the blanket. The room became dark and they decided to go outside to eat, they ate meat and they spoke about making traps for fish from the river, brought up by Senku. The meat was accompanied by a few plants recollected by Taiga.

Senku was the one throwing sticks into the fire. As Taiga sat drawing on the dirt.

"What are you drawing?"

"I don't know" she responded without looking at him. "Faces. Letters, and shapes."

"You like drawing?"

"Yes. I am not good at it, but I like it." A small smile framed her face. She looked up at him and spoke "I wanted to be an artist when I was younger"

"But I decided not to." She said thinking into space "Not enough money for what I wanted to do, neither a very stable job. Plus, my ideas to draw usually stumble into an artist block wall." She held her finger up with a 'oh that wall' angrylish face "many people wouldn't want what I wanted to draw. I wanted to be a writer also, now that I think about it" she smiled sadly "but same did it go for that."

"I wanted to be a doctor or nurse to help people too. That would be nice. But my family had been doctors and somehow that made me not want to do it." She said as if it was not an option, giving off a small laugh at the end "Plus, doctors spent years studying, and I didn't want people's lives in my hands. I didn't want to work that much time if I was nurse too." She explained " I wanted to be a vet, but when I went to give my cats off to them. Something shook me off, and I decided not. I simply couldn't help to think of doing something wrong and..." she ran off into silence. "I wanted to be what my father was. That was actually my first I wanna be when I grow up dream. But they said only men could do it." She flipped her smiled downwards instantly (☹️) pouting afterwards "but I kept on. Telling them that I would be the first woman to do it then." She smiled nostalgically with certain confidence she seemed to envy.

"Buuuuut guess-what! I lost interest in that. Later on. Taking into consideration the money I would make, time, and interest or passion." She looked up the sky. There was some pain hidden.

"I just wanted to be a child"

There was a long silence as Senku took her words in. "You are"

"I am" she smiled confidently "I have dominated all!!! Mua-ha-ha-ha!!!" She stood up raising her arms with a cheerful tone. Just to chuckle. "What about you lettuce?"

His eyebrows ticked off. "Huh?"

She smiled devilishly as she sat down crossing her legs and arms. Senku tilted his head, deciding to ignore her remark about his look.

"Scientist obviously"

"So you have always wanted to be a scientist?"

"Yeah" he smiled "I thought the moon was following me"

"What?"

"When I was little, I thought she followed me"

"She?" She smiled "interesting, I think of it as a he." They looked up the sky towards the full moon. "Isn't it beautiful?"

Before Senku could speak, Taiga imitated him with a squish voice "ten billion percent".

Senku glared at her playfully and she laughed in satisfaction.

She looked back up in certain admiration "He dies every single day just to let her breath" she murmured "it's a way I think of the moon and sun."

She raised her hand towards the sky as her eyes gleamed "so far away!" She softly exclaimed in a longing way to the darkness above her head.

Senku stood blankly. He was captivated by the beautiful way she spoke. He enjoyed to listen her roam off speaking.

"The moon and the sun love each other. Two lovers that chase each other, rarely meeting, and always missing each other." She explain in more depth "but once in a while they do catch up and they kiss, and the world stares in awe of their eclipse."

He sat there listening, his mouth slightly gaped. His mind returned to earth "Interesting" he nodded "I like it"

"I bet" she smirked softly

They continue for some time to sit down, in a wave of complete silence, each in their own little world. Taiga drawing in dirt or sitting down hugging her knees staring into space. Senku sat watching her, throwing wood into the fire thinking. They soon decided to climbed up the room.

"Who's getting the honors?" She asked

"You made it, you sleep there." Senku decided as he considered deep down as well, that a girl shouldn't sleep on the floor if there's a chance for it not to happen.

"Rock, paper, scissors" she smiled as she placed a fist on her palm.

"Alright, don't cry when you sleep on the floor"

"As if I would!"

She prepared her mind "but I do it like this one, two, three, you shoot on three" she explained.

They played getting a tie almost every time. It was a game out of three, and Taiga resulted victorious by one point.

"As the winner I command you to sleep there" she pointed to the bed as she cuddle on the ground happily.

"At least take the blanket" he handed her the blanket and she took it "fair enough" she said.

Again that night, Senku rolled around and around the bed, he laid staring into the wooden darkness of their roof. Thinking of the phenomenon that turned them into stones. Then he decided he should stop thinking and get some rest, yet he couldn't.

"I can't sleep"

There was a long silence to the point that Senku thought she was actually asleep "...me neither..."

He heard her shuffle, getting to her side. They met eyes and she gave off a small smile that was visible as the moon gave her light. She looked extremely pretty under the moonlight, her brown dark hair shiny, and her pale pink lips strangely not dry. Her pale skin looked extravagantly beautiful at the light of the sun and moon he had seen.

There was a long silence that penetrated the room. "Tell me about you, Senku-kun" she asked in a breathy voice.

"What do you want to know?" He asked remembering how she always got information out of him instead of him getting data necessary for him to get to know her. Was it that way? Or was he overthinking it?

She always seemed happy yet troubled. Two in one. It was complicated to say because he need more time to learned about it to be able to explain it fluently. "Tell me about you"

"What kind of stuff do you want to know?"

"Just tell me about you. We have a whole night" He said looking at the entrance of the room.

"With all the work." She said "I thought we would be dead into sleep. But strangely we can't immediately sleep"

"Yeah" he thought about it "being alone in this world with new responsibilities causes us to be aware for our survival"

"Indeed" she answered "today was completely normal despite yesterday too. Can you believe it?"

"We must be more aware of the weather. It transitioned more rapidly than I could perceive. We must hurry and make clothing." He explained his simple plan to respond to her.

"Are you avoiding the question?" He asked directly this time. His crimson eyes squinting at her. "Taiga, there's not need for us to speak about ourselves. We can change subject"

"Senku, I wasn't avoiding the question. The weather and sleep came to my mind. But actually help me out, what do you want to know?"

"...Your life, stuff about you..."

"...I...I am from Mexico, and I grew my childhood there. But I don't remember anything from it. Except distorted memories." She hugged herself with a non expression "I went to Canada, but I don't remember much about it. We also traveled to Japan, and we lived there for about five years. I never learned Japanese, but soon enough began to learn my language and English"

"You know English?"

"Yes" she smiled triumphantly "we then went to China for little time, and lived in Las Vegas next. At the end we ended up living in Japan. Japan was my favorite out of all. Very calm and respectful. But Mexico. Mexico is Mexico. I'm Mexican to the heart!" She exclaimed with pride.

Senku held a small smile as he listened curiously, and she kept quiet until she began again realizing Senku was still awake and wanted to know more.

"My favorite animal are cats. Any type of cats. To the hairless aliens one to the ones that have the face squished. " she squished her own face and Senku's smile grew while one of his brow lowered "To the small cats to the big predator cats."

"Though, lions are my least favorite." She acknowledged "I love cats and I love any other animal. Even insects. Yet, certain insects do terrify me" she giggled "but, I love them all."

"And you?" She asked in a sweet voice

"I guess felines catch my eye."

"Yay!!!" She softly said with a playful excitement. "Tell me about you" she demanded after cheering

He thought of his words and spoke about his family. Mainly of his father who he seemed to admired in a certain way like he loved his friend. He spoke about his childhood, about the moon and some of his experiments he did when he was younger.

"Taiju"

His eyebrows raised "that big oaf is my childhood friend" he presented "do you know him?"

"No, just by sight. Just like you"

"So you have observed me before?"

"Slightly I guess"

"Why?" He inquired

"Don't get the wrong idea silly." She smiled sweetly "You two are outstanding out of the crowd. It is inevitable to not observe you guys under any ones radar"

"You seem interesting. Always caught in another world. Science. And other other details" she continued

"Tell me"

"Why should I?~" she stuck her tongue out

"Because you mentioned it and it pique my interest. It is wrong to leave someone with curiosity"

"Okay" she smiled "only if you decipher this"

His interest was pique and he raised his upper body up. "What?"

"Drum rolls please!" She created her own drum roll sound effects and spoke "...what did one ocean say to another ocean?"

Senku had a deadpan face which cause Taiga to laugh. Though her laugh was loud since it was nighttime. Everything sounded more loud at night when everything is silent and the only two sounds were themselves.

He sighed and smiled at her childishness. "You're speaking English, I can't"

"Oh sorry!" She returned to Japanese and repeated the question explaining "in English, the answer would have been nothing they just wave. Since wave can imply as an wave or a wave as in a greeting"

"I see"

"I can't it's dark"

He return his deadpan face due to her small joke making Taiga giggle. They continued their conversation. Speaking about their color, about foods, about memories. Taiga resulted to like any color, and Senku liked green and blue. Taiga could see it was because of his hair and blue for Doreamon he explained. Senku learned that she did not like pizza. He was surprised when she mentioned it, yet they both concured ramen was delicious. He spoke about Taiju, how he would protect him when he was young, and he obviously spoke about more of his experiments and scientific knowledge that captivated him.

"Science is the building block of everything. It is exhilarating to figure out the laws behind anything. To know there's a respond to every problem." His voice was filled with excitement "I can't wait to start investigating." He mention making plans already.

"True, science is amazing." She smiled which caused Senku to smile back.

"Do you think the rain moved the rock pieces from where we placed them?"

His eyes widened and he seemed troubled "it's possible"

There was a moment of silence. "Senku, we'll find them." She assured

Senku had the urge to go to the dense forest and seek for a response. Yet, it wasn't reasonable. It was dark full of nocturne predators. He had to wait.

"Yes." He said laying down to sleep "we should get some rest"

"Yes, captain~" she laid down following his eagerness. She could see it in his eyes how worrisome he had become due to the doubt. His eyes had a worrisome look but it always kept his determined side. It was a good quality of his. He never gave up.

She drifted to sleep. Into complete darkness that felt like death. No pain, no
