"when i am with you, i feel like i am in heaven, i love you."
–––

I got dressed in a white casual dress and then an oversized leather jacket so that I wasn't cold.

I don't know where Kayden is taking me, but I didn't want to look bad.

The possibility of him taking me out on a date excites me since we have never been on an actual date, only hanging out. And most of our hangouts include the boys and Willow.

When I hear my phone buzz I look down at the message and see that Kayden texted me that he was here and waiting outside.

I look out my window and see Kayden walking out of his car and toward the passenger side of the car.

I walk downstairs and see Isabelle sitting at the counter with Wes.

"I'm going out now. Are you still okay with it?" I asked Isabelle as I put my shoes on.

"Yes, that's alright. What time are you coming back tonight?"

"It shouldn't be late, but I'll text you once I know."

"Alright have fun." Isabelle smiled at me while Wes just stayed while looking at his phone.

Wes has been kind of quiet lately. He hasn't talked to me about Kayden anymore and he also has been distant lately. I just hope that he talks to Isabelle and that he is there for her because that's his mom and I hate how he treats her sometimes.

I smiled at her before leaving out of the house. I close the front door and see Kayden still waiting by the passenger side of the car.

He smiles once he sees me and when I get closer to him, he wraps his arms around my waist and pulls me in for a kiss.

"You look nice," Kayden whispered while kissing me.

I smiled against his lips. "So do you." I look at his attire and it's just a black long sleeve with blue pants and he is also silver chain around his neck. "Where are we going?" I asked him.

Kayden smiled down at me before opening the passenger door. "Get in and you'll see."

I smiled at him and tried not to get butterflies in my stomach.

Once he closes the door he goes to his side of the car and starts driving after putting the car in drive.

"What is one thing you want to accomplish before you die?" I asked Kayden as he drives.

"Probably to be able to race with Leipert Motorsport. That would be a dream and my father always wanted to do something like that before he had kids."

"That's a cool dream," I stated.

"What about you?"

"I don't know. When I was young, I always dreamed of trying to write my own book but that was when my mom was around, and she was able to help me."

"Why did you need your mom? Why not start now?"

"Because it doesn't feel right to write a book or anything without her here. When she was here, I would always write, and I would show her and then we would read it over together and discuss it."

"I think you should write again. Write for her. If it's still your dream you should still want to write a book."

"What would I write about?" I asked as if I was actually considering it.

"About anything. Write about your high school experience, write everything you feel on paper. You can write anything if you think about it."

The rest of the car drive was quiet.

Kayden pulled his car in front of a beach where there was also a huge pier on the left. It had rides and a lot of lights shining in the area.

"Where are we?" I asked Kayden.

He turned the car off and unlocked it so we could get out. "Santa Monica Pier," Kayden said once we both got out of the car. "You can't live in Los Angeles and not go to the Santa Monica Pier once." Kayden looked down at me and gave me a tight-lipped smile.

"So, then what do we do first?" I asked and Kayden grabbed my hand and pulled me towards the Pier.

Kayden first took us to a restaurant to eat some food. I had a cheeseburger and fries and then Kayden had the same thing but different toppings.

He took me to the arcade area where we played some small games and then we also went on this small roller coaster they had on the pier which I didn't think was a thing.

Where I lived in jersey there weren't any close amusement parks, so my family and I rarely got to go on roller coasters.

Now Kayden and I are on the Ferris Wheel sitting across from one another.

We aren't really saying anything just enjoying one another's company.

Being around Kayden makes me feel so happy. I feel safe around him and distracted from everything else that happened in the world.

Before Kayden, I never would have thought I would have come closer to being happy. But I am.

I can say that I am finally happy with where I am at right now.

Willow reminds me so much of my mom. Her energy matches my mother's so well, and I know for a fact that my mother would have liked her a lot.

And Kayden overall makes me love life a little more.

"Before my dad died, I made a promise to him," Kayden stated making me look up at him. "I told him that I would make him proud, and he would see me graduate and accomplish the dreams he wanted to accomplish. I still believe that I will be doing that, but I just can't help but miss him sometimes."

"We feel the need to make our loved ones proud, especially when they pass," I stated.

"Out of everyone in my life, I think you're the easiest person to talk to. You seem to make everything easier for me. I just can't imagine a life without you."

I don't know if that was close to an I Love You or not, but I'll take it.

What is the opposite of hate again?
