Hello guys :) For the first time, the story will be from John's POV, and then Ella's. I hope you enjoy it :)

Actually, John's really good looking. The photo on the side is of Jesse Williams, whom I've chosen to be him in this story. Enjoy!

Chapter 11- John’s POV

I had just gotten home and set my briefcase on the table when my mobile phone started ringing. With a sigh, I pulled it out of my pocket and checked the caller ID. Edward. Damn, what did he want now? Ever since all of that crap with Nathan and his mum, he’s just been a big baby, constantly needing help from me. I pushed the red button, hanging up on him, and took a deep breath. I didn’t need any more drama.

He called again a few seconds later. This time, I knew I had to answer his call, so I pressed the green button. “What’s wrong now?” I asked grumpily.

“Can you come over here please?” He sounded shocked and frightened.

“I just got home this second,” I complained. I really wasn’t in the mood to go to his place.

“John, please. Someone has been in my house.”

My ears pricked up. “What? Did you check if they’re still in there?”

He sounded really freaked out now. “No, I didn’t. Why, do you think they’re still in here?”

“I don’t know! I’m coming over now, okay?” I walked towards the front door.

“Yeah, please do! I think I know who’s doing this, anyway.”

I stopped in my tracks. “Really?”

“Yeah. Just, please come over.”

“I’ll be right there.” I hung up on him. Luckily for him I lived only ten minutes away from him. As I walked to my car, I wondered what he was on about this time. I started driving towards his place.

Crazy, stupid Edward. That was the only way I could describe him these days. He was so lucky to have Beth, yet he didn’t even care about her. I liked her so much, I’d literally do anything to be with her.

And not just her. There was someone whom I’d started to like more than Beth these days.

I pulled up outside of his house and parked. Then I took out the keys- yes, I had keys to his house, which he’d given to me last year, and put them in the lock. When I opened the door, there was nothing that seemed to be out of the ordinary. Everything looked in its place, all neat and organised.

Edward emerged from the kitchen. “Hey, come in here and take a look,” he said. I followed him inside and looked around, but there didn’t seem to be anything out of the ordinary. I saw him stopping in front of the kitchen table.

Ohh, what was this? The table was covered in photographs, all of them next to each other, forming like a sequence, or timeline, of events. From where I was standing, I couldn’t see what was in the pictures though. I moved closer.

What was in the pictures shocked me. It was as if someone had caught Edward doing all of this illegal stuff during the years, and had taken photographic evidence of it. And then it also dawned to me... I didn’t know Edward had done any of this. Well, except for being with Nathan’s mum and being too close to Ella.

I looked at him in disbelief. “You’re unbelievable.” I shook my head. “What the hell is this? Is this what you’ve been doing throughout your life?”

“Not my deeds are what’s worrying me, but the fact that someone is threatening me with them,” he said, in a low voice, barely enough for me to hear.  “And this someone has been stalking me, since like, forever.”

“Was there any note with this?” I asked, pointing at the photos.

Edward shook his head. “No. Just the pictures. That’s what I’m worried about.”

I shrugged. “Maybe whoever’s doing this is just warning you.”

“Warning me what?”

“That you’re crazy!” I inspected on of the photos that showed him holding Ella, and another one where he was opening the car door for her. I glanced at what he was wearing in the picture, and what he was wearing now. The same clothes. I gave him a pointed look. “Today? You were with her today?”

He smiled knowingly. “Uh... yeah, I drove her home.”

I rolled my eyes. “You’re such a jackass.”

Edward’s eyes shot up immediately. “What?”

“You’re so stupid. You know this would happen if you’re seen outside with her. And it’s so freakin’ stupid, since you already have a girlfriend.”

“Shut up about Beth, can’t you see that I don’t care?” he practically shouted.

I glared at him. “I know that you don’t care, you went out with her as a rebound to Lauren...” I saw him flinching at her name- he never referred to her by her name. I continued, “But at least, have some dignity, man! Don’t go out with someone else while you’re still in a relationship! Especially when you know that the person you’re falling for is a minor-“

He interrupted me. “I AM NOT falling for a minor!”

“Really? How old is Ella, then?”

“Oh, just shut up.”

And then he wonders why he doesn’t have any friends.

“Do you know how old you are?” I asked.

“Of course I know! But she doesn’t know!” He sounded frantic now. Heh, typical of Edward when he’s in trouble.

“Seriously, you’re gonna go by that? You’re her teacher, Edward!”

He glared at me. “How about you stop lecturing me, and tell me what I’m gonna do about this?” He pointed to the table, shuddering. I could tell that he was sorry for half of the things that were recorded on the pictures, but it was still some crazy shit. I gave him a sympathetic look.

“Did you say that you knew who did it?” I asked, almost shivering.

Edward sighed and leaned against the table. “ I think it’s Nathan.”

“What?”  I wasn’t expecting his name to come up in this.

“Yeah.. the kid bullies me already so I wouldn’t be surprised.”

I shook my head, tired of hearing the same old shit over and over. “Look, I don’t know what to say, but all I know is that you’d better treat Beth well, okay? Or I will.”

“Is that a threat? Are you jealous?”

Of course I was jealous of him. Everything in his life was perfect, even though he acted like it wasn’t. He was doing the job he loved, his students loved him, and he had the perfect girlfriend. I couldn’t help but feel like I should get some of this as well, and not just him. But I could never admit that to him.

I glared at him and started walking away. He didn’t  look like he really needed my help anyway. I heard him calling, “Beth doesn’t like you!” I walked on, hands clenched in fists. I knew that already, and I was so sorry about it. She couldn’t even look at me without frowning in disgust.

Who said that it was Beth that I wanted? Another person had been catching my eye lately. But it was impossible. Even more impossible than being with Beth.

I arrived to the door, opened it and left, slamming it behind me, leaving Edward on his own with his problems. Although, I do have to admit, I did feel guilty leaving the poor guy without being of much help. But it was easier to just walk away.

Ella’s POV

I went back to the kitchen after Mr James... or Edward, left, and finished my coffee in silence. I washed the two mugs quietly, and put them into the dishwasher that my dad had bought years ago, and miraculously still worked after so long.

A sudden thought struck me. Should I go visit him? I only had Mr James’s homework, and someone had to help me with that, so it would actually be okay if I went out. And I hadn’t visited my father in years.  Mum would never know either, unless I told her.

I looked down at my outfit and decided that it was fine, and grabbed my phone, keys and purse and put them in a small handbag. I removed my make up and put some blue eyeliner instead, and continued fixing my hair for a few minutes until I decided that it was enough. I looked in the mirror: I was ready to go. I opened the front door. I’d have to go by bus, but well, I was used to that. Luckily, I lived in a side street close to a main road, so the bus stop was near, and I arrived in a couple of minutes. There was no one there. I looked around, trying to keep myself busy while I waited, and tried not to think about him.  It wasn’t easy, though.

Out of the corner of my eye, I saw a guy in his twenties, coming out of a door and slamming it behind him. I focused my eyes on him, thinking, ooh, hot. He started walking down the stairs and towards me, and it was then that I realised whom it was. Mr James’s friend... I couldn’t remember his name, but I knew that it had to be him. He spent all his time in the art room, so I was used to seeing his face. He must be leaving Mr James’s house, then, I figured, giving the building a glance.

I turned the attention back to his friend, who was still walking in my way, holding keys in his hand. I figured that his car was probably parked close to where I was waiting for the bus. When he arrived close to where I was, I noticed that he was looking at me in mild interest. I smiled at him, not knowing what else to do. He stopped in front of me.

“You’re in Edward’s class,” he said, eyeing me.

Darn, he’s talking to me. And I’m not supposed to know Edward by his name. “Umm, Edward?” I asked, playing dumb.

He shook his head. “Sorry, I meant Mr James. You’re in one of his classes, I see you occasionally. Ella right?”

Shit, he knew my name as well? What was he, a stalker?

“How do you know my name?” I asked.

He shrugged. “I suppose that I heard Edward calling you sometime during the lesson, since I spend all my time there.” He paused, and a smile formed on his lips. Attractive, I have to admit. “Teachers note a lot, and no, I’m not a stalker.” He grinned.

I blushed. What, can he read minds too?

“And no, I don’t read minds,” he said. “I’m  John, by the way.”

Okay, he does read minds. “John?” I asked. “No surnames? That’s how we’re supposed to refer to teachers, right?”

John shook his head. “Not me,” he replied. He looked around. “Hey, I didn’t know you lived next to Edward,” he said.

I decided to play dumb once again. “Oh really, I do? I didn’t know,” I said as I took his image in. He was so good looking, and I hadn’t really noticed it before. He was tall, though not as tall as Edward, and his skin was tan, and he had the most beautiful eyes, which reflected from blue to green. His dark hair was short.

“Don’t lie... I know he drives you home sometimes,” he said. I could hear the humour in his voice as it became his turn to look me up and down, taking in every detail about me.

I shrugged, feeling uncomfortable. “He only drove me home twice,” I said. At that moment, I saw the bus I wanted to catch driving over, and I hailed it to a stop. For some reason or another, though, the driver didn’t see me, and the bus rushed past us. I stared at it, defeated.

Damn! If this guy hadn’t been speaking to me, I’d have managed to catch the bus which- I checked on the schedule right then, only passed once an hour. There was no way I was going to wait for another hour to catch the bus. My dad would just have to wait.

I looked up, and realised that all this time, John had been regarding me. What did he want? It was HIS fault that I missed the bus!

“It’s my fault, I know,” he said earnestly. “Here, let me drive you to wherever you want to go.”

I shook my head. “No,” I said through gritted teeth. No way am I going to let another teacher drive me somewhere. I’ve already become to close to one teacher, and I don’t need to be close to anyone else.

“Aww, come on. It’s my fault you missed the bus, the least I could do is drive you,” he said.

Stop. Talking. You’re. Making. It. Worse.

“Ella?” he called. “Where do you want to go?”

I shook my head once again. “Home,” I said. “I’m just gonna go home.”

John placed a hand on my arm, making me shudder. “I’ll take you anywhere.”

I looked at him. Could I trust him? I mean, he was Mr James’s friend, and he did seem nice. But I didn’t want to be seen outside with a teacher.

Oh what the hell. What could happen to me? Rumours? I don’t care about rumours. Being expelled? I don’t care either. The only thing I was worried about was people finding out about my father. I never wanted that to happen.

“You’re taking a long time to decide,” John said with a chuckle.

“Fine,” I said, looking at him. “I’ll give you directions.”

“Good girl,” he said, patting my arm. Okay, awkward and creepy much? He started walking, and I followed him to his car, which was a small blue Toyota. Not bad, but Edward’s car is much better.

Shit, I just referred to my teacher by his first name. This really is too much. And I’ve barely started on Nathan’s dare yet. It’s just gonna get worse from here.

“So,” John said, starting the car. “Where do you want me to take you?”

I smirked, knowing that he’ll be so surprised when we finally get to that place. “I want to see my dad,” I said.

“Cool, where does he live?”

I gave him directions, although I didn’t tell him exactly where he was supposed to take me. He tried holding a conversation during the drive there, but I didn’t say much in return. I was anxiously waiting for us to arrive there.

When we finally got to the cemetery, John looked bewildered as he turned to me. “Here?” he asked, his voice barely a whisper. I nodded.

“Why didn’t you tell me?” he asked, still shocked.

“I don’t like talking about it. What happened was horrible.”

“Does Edward know?” John asked, looking out of the window. He sounded worried.

“No one from school knows.”

“Then why are you telling me?” he said, turning back to me. I felt my eyes water. He noticed and put an arm around me. “It’s okay, I won’t tell anyone. Do you want to go in now?”

I shook my head. “I thought I could, after all these years. But I can’t.” I didn’t understand why I was telling this to someone whom I didn’t really know. But in a way, speaking up made me feel better... it made me feel comfortable. And anyway, it wasn’t like I was going to tel him the whole story. I was never going to tell anyone the whole story.

“It’s okay... you don’t have to do this now. I’ll stay here with you and then I’ll drive you home,” John said, rubbing my arm gently.  He inched as close as he could to me, although the steering wheel was in the way. He was so caring. I looked at him gratefully.

“Thank you... I really appreciate you doing this,” I said. Looks like I am getting close to another teacher after all.

“You’re welcome, love,” he said, brushing my lips with his finger while moving even closer to me. He held his breath, watching me.

Wait, what did he say? I stared into John’s eyes, trying to figure it out. Did I hear right?

The worst was yet to come though, and what happened next was what really shocked me most. He cupped my face with his hands and within an instant, his lips came crashing down on mine.

I hope you liked it :)  It's taken me a while to come up with this chapter, but I believe that it's quite good, although you'll have to be the judge of that.  I'll try to update as soon as I can, but I'll be on holiday for a few days so I probably won't upload till Wednesday or later.

Please don't forget to vote and comment, don't be shy :3 feedback is really appreciated!

This chapter is dedicated to my best buddy :P I know you love John, haha.
