"Yes, Sophie, funnily enough, I'm aware that he's my brother. I don't need your confirmation," he spat drily, his eyes littered with unimpress.

Still in shock, I let out a disbelieving laugh. "So, hold on a second. Let me get this straight. You have an incredibly hot older brother who is a fucking hot-ass underwear model," I chocked out in shock.

"Yes, and he's not even hot, so calm the fuck down," he grumbled bitterly.

I snorted and held up the magazine again. "I'm sorry, but are you seeing the same guy I am because this man's sexiness is definitely not up for debate."

He narrowed his eyes and let out an incredulous scoff. "You wouldn't be so keen on him if you knew how much of an asshole he was," he muttered lowly.

I raised an eyebrow. "Ooo bitching about your brother, are we? Do I sense a little sibling rivalry?" I teased.

He shook his head at me in disbelief. "Are you always this annoying, or am I a special case?"

I shrugged. "Eh, I'm probably always a little bit annoying, but you bring it out of me the most," I winked.

"Yippie," he spat, his voice dripping with sarcasm.

"So...what's your hunky brother called?" I sang.

"If you must know, his name is Noah, and before you ask, you cannot have his number," he spat.

"His email address?" I suggested.

"No!"

"His favorite coffee shop?"

"No- Wait, why the fuck do you want to know that? But anyway, the answer's still no," he said bluntly.

"His address, perhaps?"

"Fuck, no!" he scoffed.

I wasn't actually interested in contacting his brother, but it was still incredibly fun to fuck around with him and pretend that I did.

"Aww boo, you're so boring," I pouted. "Why don't you want me contacting him? Jealous, perhaps?" I smirked.

I was waiting for one of his snide remarks, but then he surprised me by randomly starting to gag as though he was on the brink of throwing up.

I furrowed my eyebrows. "What are you doing?" I asked in confusion.

"Sorry, it's just-," he paused again, to do another gag. "-the idea of me liking you has me feeling slightly nauseous," he croaked out.

As soon as he said that, I gasped and shoved him aggressively on the shoulder. He poorly stifled a snort before starting to shake with laughter. His eyes were crinkled at the corners and were shining in amusement.

Despite how irritated I was with him, I felt a tug at my heart at the sight of his smile. It was a cute boyish type smile, and it suited him.

Wait, what the fuck am I thinking?

He's the fucking enemy Sophie. Get a hold of yourself. Nice smiles do not equal good people.

I cleared my throat as I pulled myself back together. "Well, you must feel nauseous around me a lot then," I shrugged.

"Hmm, like you wouldn't imagine," he drawled as he looked me up and down. I narrowed my eyes as I knew he was trying to imply the sight of me made him sick.

Before I could get in another snide remark, Nathan randomly rose to his feet and started to wander his way over to the kitchen. I twisted around on the sofa so I could follow his movement.

"Erm...where the hell are you going?" I called out in confusion.

"Well, I'm thirsty from constantly replying to your bullshit remarks, so I'm getting some water," he snapped as he swung open the fridge door.

"Or more realistically, you're thirsty from drooling over me for too long," I called back.

Nathan completely blanked me. It was either from the boredom of the conversation or lack of a good comeback. I like to think it's the latter...

His eyes scoured the fridge before he frowned and slammed it closed. He glanced back over at me. "Where the hell is your bottled water?" he asked.

"Why the fuck would I buy bottled water if I have a working tap?" I snickered.

Nathan looked at me like I was an idiot. "Bottled water is better for your body because...because..it's got vitamins and...and other good shit," he rambled out like an idiot, clearly making up bullshit as he went along.

"You're dripping with confidence, aren't you?" I snorted. "And look, I'm sorry if it's not up to your rich boy standards, but tap is all we've got. There's a clean glass on the drying rack, so go fill that up," I snapped bossily; as I nodded my head over to it.

Nathan narrowed his eyes but surprisingly listened to me and moodily walked his way over to the sink.

I smiled in satisfaction and turned back around. The second I did, I heard a loud crash, followed by Nathan yelling out a string of choice swear words.

I immediately swerved my head around to see what all the fuss was about. I was confused to find Nathan standing about a meter away from the sink, eyeing it the same way one might a serial killer.

Standing up quickly, I made my way over to him. "What the fuck is going on? Are you scared of my sink?" I snickered as I looked between him and the sink with crossed arms.

Surprisingly, I saw no irritation on his face from my commentary, and he continued to look terrified beyond belief. I tilted my head as I tried to make sense of the situation. His eyes were widened in an almost childlike manner as he stared at something in the distance with an incredible amount of focus.

I followed his line of sight to the wall opposite us. Immediately, I spotted what he was staring at, and as I did, a small smirk sprouted on my face. Bang smack on the middle of the wall was a daddy-long-legs spider.

Nathan woods had resulted to acting like a scared little boy from the simple presence of a spider.

I knew what a good person would do in this situation. A good person would help Nathan out by picking up the spider and releasing it out the window. But I wasn't a good person, and that's not what I was going to do.

When beautiful opportunities such as these present themselves, you certainly do not waste them.

"Are you seriously scared of a tiny defenseless little spider?" I teased as I looked his terrified self up and down in amusement.

Nathan snapped his head towards me. "Tiny?" he scoffed. "Are you blind or something that thing is bigger than the size of my hand," he cried.

I rolled my eyes. "You're being ridiculous; it's a cute little thing, not scary," I laughed.

Then before I could develop a conscience about how horrible what I was about to do truly was, I happily skipped my way over to the spider.

"W-what are you doing?" he stuttered out in confusion.

I didn't reply and just smiled. Standing on my tip-toes, I cautiously cupped my hands against the surface of the wall and gently guided the spider into the palm of my hands. Once it was safely in, I put another hand on top of it, so it was trapped in a little airspace between my hands.

"Can you open the window for me?" I asked in a seemingly innocent voice.

He nodded his head. "Y-yeah, sure," he stuttered out, still seeming slightly on edge.

Quickly walking over to the window, he undid the latch before pushing it open wide for me. I walked over to the window, and I moved my hands to the edge of the window.

Just as I looked like I was about to release it, I completely changed my direction and threw the spider right at Nathan's chest.

Nathan let out a low frightened yelp and quickly tried to jump out of the way. Unfortunately for him, his reflexes were a little too slow, and the spider latched right onto the material of his shirt.

"Get it off, Sophie, get it fucking off," Nathan cried out like a mad man as he started to frantically whack at his chest.

The sight became far too amusing for me, and I clutched onto my stomach before starting to cackle with laughter.

Yeah, I know, I know, I was a bitch...

Through my teary-stained vision, I glanced back up at Nathan to check his progress. He had not been successful at throwing off the spider; in fact, it was crawling at a steady pace up the length of his arm. His breaths were coming out deep and shaky as he shook his arm around wildly in an attempt to try and get the spider off.

Starting to feel slightly bad now, I walked over to Nathan and cupped a hand onto the material of his sleeve, and gentled coaxed the spider back into my hands.

"Aww, poor Mr spider, you only wanted to give Natalie a kiss, didn't you?" I cooed as I lifted it off of Nathan.

Once I had it tucked between my hands, I walked calmly to the window and released it onto the wall outside.

"Be free, little one," I called out to it with a smile before closing the window.

Rubbing my slightly cold hands together, I turned back to face Nathan with a warm broad smile. However, the moment I saw him, the smile instantly vanished from my face.

He was glaring at me with such an intense amount of hatred that I momentarily forgot how to speak. Pissed, seemed too gentle of a word to describe the way he was looking at me. The man looked as though he wanted to shove me five feet under the dirt.

Suddenly, feelings of regret started to seep into me, and I started to wonder if I went a little bit too far.

I swallowed nervously. "Erm...is everything good?" I stuttered out with a nervous laugh while rubbing my sweaty palms up and down the length of my jeans.

He remained completely silent and continued to glare at me.

Finally, he let out a loud scoff. "So, you thought that was funny, did you?" he spat as he took a large intimidating step closer to me.

Yes.

I gulped. "I...erm..I-"

"Does tormenting people with their fears amuse you, Sophie?" he said as he stalked even closer to me.

Well, maybe a little...

Realizing how close he was getting, I started to nervously back away from him, one footstep at a time. "C-can't you take a joke?" I stuttered out with a nervous laugh.

I winced slightly as my back hit the edge of the sink harshly. Nathan closed the last few centimeters between us and stopped in front of me.

If anyone were to walk in on us, they would think he was about to kiss me, but I knew for sure that wasn't his intention. If the anger in his eyes were anything to go by, I would say his intentions were nothing short of murder.

I did a quick glance around the counters to check there weren't any loose knives lying about. I mean, I didn't think he was capable of murder, but you could never be too sure.

"I'm sorry?" I squeaked, proposing it as more of a question than an apology.

His eyes scanned over my face as though he was contemplating something, and then he shocked me altogether and smiled.

He shook his head. "An apology isn't going to cut it, Sophie. The only way you're going to learn is if you experience what you did to me yourself," he said in an eerily calm voice.

I eyed him up and down in amusement. "Do you honestly think I'm going to give a shit if you throw a spider at me? I'm not remotely scared of them," I laughed.

He smirked as though I had said something funny. "I know, but you are afraid of something else," he chuckled lowly.

I quickly rolled my eyes, his words not scaring me in the slightest. Someone who had only known me for only a handful of weeks was hardly going to know what it took to scare me. The guy was clearly talking out of his arse.

"Hmm, don't believe me, do you?" he drawled as his amused eyes flickered back and forth between mine.

"Nope," I said bluntly.

"Okay, let's see if you believe me after you and I go on a little trip," he winked.

Before I could so much as raise an eyebrow, Nathan suddenly looped his arms around my waist. My breath sucked away from me as I was snatched off the floor and thrown over his shoulder.

I let out a horrified shriek in surprise as I found myself dangling upside down. "What the actual fuck?" I screamed.

Nathan laughed as though this was one big joke, and slung his arm over the backs of my thighs to anchor me to him. I wasn't having any of it and started to squirm and wither like a banshee while kicking my legs about wildly.

"Nathan, what are you doing? Put me down!" I yelled as I started to furiously whack at his back.

Despite the little grunts of pain he was making at some of my more furious whacks, he started to walk with long purposeful strides towards the direction of the door. They were the kind of strides of someone who knew exactly where they wanted to go.

And that scared me.

After a lot of useless struggling from me, I soon found myself staring at the carpeted floor of my communal corridor.

"Come on, Nathan, this isn't even funny. Put me down," I grumbled, feeling more and more pissed by the second.

Suddenly, he came to a stop, and about a second later, I heard a loud pinging sound break through the air. I furrowed my brows. What the fuck was-

No, he wouldn't...

Instantly, my heart started hammering at the speed of light, and I kicked my legs around more wildly.

"Nathan, I swear to God, if I'm anywhere near an elevator, I'm going to kill you," I screamed.

Nathan walked a couple more steps, and I gasped in surprise as I was suddenly dropped from his shoulder, causing me to land rather roughly on my butt. With widened eyes, I took in the view of my surroundings. Dread instantly filled me as I found myself staring at the metal walls of the inside of an elevator.

Nathan gave me a cheeky wave before pressing a button. My eyes widened further in horror as I saw the elevator doors start to slide closed at an alarmingly quick speed.

I scrambled myself to my feet and tried to make a frantic dash for the door. I was almost there when a hand latched onto my wrist and pulled me back against a hard, heavy chest. A quiet sob left my lips as I saw the elevator doors slam shut.

As they did, I felt warm lips brush up against the side of my ear. "Welcome to your worst fear," Nathan whispered.

Also, if Sophie did to me what she did to Nathan, I would quite simply kill her lol. I hate spiders.  Anyway, what are some of your fears?
