I came to a slow halt in front of the house where my uncle was murdered. The house I used to visit when I was a kid. It looked like an ordinary house on the outside. The two story house was boarded up and it looked like it was still in perfect condition, but I was pretty sure once I entered the inside of the house there would be a totally different turnout.

I exited my car and locked it. It was a Nissan prime, but it got me where I needed to go and hasn't put doubt in me yet. Besides, at least it was something while my job was helping me to build my credit and buy a newer model car and put more money than I've ever seen in my pockets.

I couldn't get the door open because it was boarded up, but I was hoping I wouldn't have to use the crowbar in my car, but I went back to my car and popped the trunk and grabbed the crowbar. Walking back onto the porch I use a crowbar to take the nails out of the boards and one by one they all fall down onto the porch in which I move them up against a brown still in good shape banister.

"Goddamn." I covered my nose trying to conceal at least a portion of the prudent smell of rain mixed with mold and possibly feces.

I stepped into the living room and immediately flashbacks ran through my head. This was where I slept when momma wasn't able to pay the heat bill and I was sick that year so Uncle Benny had me come here to stay until I got better.

I entered the kitchen. I didn't walk far into the kitchen because of the mice and spiders hanging around everywhere, but I remember this is where he taught me how to cook dope when I was fourteen. I had just started school and he told me if I wanted better clothes that I'd have to work for them. I never did tell momma I was selling drugs that year. It would've broken her heart and she would've kicked me out for sure. But Uncle Benny has me to stop when things almost got too far. Apparently he was in the middle of a war I assumed and didn't want me to be involved or targeted.

Pushing through old doors surprisingly everything looked normal besides old dirty moldings and the ceilings and walls were falling apart. Then I neared towards the basement door. Where everything happened. My heart was practically beating outside my chest. I didn't know what to expect. Did they clean up his blood or just leave it? He had a closed casket because his face was unrecognizable. My mom had to identify him by his figure and his tattoos.

I knew it was him when she came through the door and fell to her knees. I've never seen my mom that way before until then, not even when grandma died. It hurt me seeing her hurt. That's why I'm trying to get myself together, for her and myself.

It seemed as if the basement smells even worse, just from opening the door. I treaded carefully down the stairs remembering how unstable the stairs were. They've always been old and creaky.

There was a weird feeling within the air. It was cold and foggy. There wasn't any electricity so I ripped the newspapers off the small windows.

My eyes landed on the outline of what was obviously his body. And there was a spot next to the shadow of his head. They say his brains had been splattered everywhere and the clean up crew didn't feel the need to clean all of it since the house was supposed to be shut down, in other words destroyed. All of the houses on this block were supposed to be shut down and destroyed. I guess whoever wanted it done changed their mind.

"Damn Unc." I licked my lips and bawled them up to prevent my emotions from clouding what I came here to do, but I just couldn't help myself.

"Why didn't you shoot back? You told me you were untouchable. The man with the steel," I shook my head at his infamous quote. He was the Superman of the family. Came in and saved us from debts. He saved us from threats. He saved me from burying myself deep in that deep hole of void of missing a father. "I miss you man."

Managing to ignore the body stain I rummaged through the things in here. I'm pretty sure he had drugs and stuff down here that the police confiscated and labeled him as a violent drug dealing black man whose life wouldn't be missed. They were wrong and are wrong. He was somebody to somebody. He was my somebody. And whoever took him from me, from his family will pay. Regardless if they're locked away or dead.

I couldn't find anything. Not a clue. Everything was cleaned away from the crime scene. I should just give up. I'm not getting anywhere. I guess I just wanted to see the place for myself. I laughed inwardly before heading back up the steps and into the living room.

I jumped back cursing when a fat ass rodent scattered past my feet causing me to fall into the thin wall and my body put a hole in it.

"Fuck this I'm out of here," I stopped talking when I saw a stack of money at the base of my heel. Turning around slowly my mouth dropped open. Fucking genius.

Money. The wall was full of money. Stacked on top of each other. Presidents just staring back at me.

"Uncle Benny, are you trying to kill your nephew now? I ain't ready to join you yet." I chuckled, wiping the tears from my face. Damn.

This is a sign. I must continue digging further. He's here with me in spirit and he is clearly guiding me.

I snatched off my pullover sweater and started snatching and dumping the money into it. This had to be at least ten thousand, twenty at most.'I wasn't sure because I've never seen this much money before, I didn't know how to estimate it.

I exited the house with a quickness and threw the sweater in the backseat. My luck is finally coming to me. This is the beginning of something. All I know is it's the beginning. I was about to get into my car when I noticed a dark figure exiting the gate of my uncle's house that led to the back yard.

"Hey," I shouted across the street. The dark figure turned out to be a girl. Dark and lanky. She has cheap weave in her hair and her clothes looked straight out of a garbage can. She looked confused and began walking fast down the sidewalk. I ran after her, able to jump in front of her before she could continue running.

"Wait a minute I'm not trying to hurt you." She looked at me skeptically afraid I might try something. She obviously looked like she had been through hell and back.

"You a little too put together to wanna fuck me? But clearly you got taste. What you want me to suck your dick? Ten for five minutes and twenty for ten take your pick."

"No I was wondering if you-"

"I don't do tricks, I'm not a gymnast. I fuck and suck only. If you're bringing friends I want twenty each."

"I don't want sex. I got a bitch," she smirked.

"That doesn't mean shit right here. I've fucked many married men just as handsome as you." She ran her fingers over my chest. I looked away truly disgusted. I ignored her.

"Was you in that house three years ago when that big drug dealer was murdered?"

"Oh shit you twelve fuck!" She tried to run, but I snatched her up before she could and tossed her against the gate. She yelped and tried wiggling from my grip.

"Listen here you cracked out bitch. I've been really patient with you and your rambling so I'll just blame the drugs. Now I am not a cop," I made that clear. She looked me up and down trying to check for any signs of me lying. "Do you know about anything that went down in that house the day Bentley was killed in that house?"

"I am not on drugs asshole." She smacked my hands away from their grip on her forearms. I clenched my jaw. "but I think I know someone who was there." she shrugged, looking as if she could care less. That made my blood boil.

"Who? I need a name."

"And I need a price?" She looked at her nails filled with dirt. I rolled my eyes patting my pockets for change. I dropped four quarters into her palm. She stared at and for a second and then scoffed.

"Fuck I look like a CTA bus? You couldn't get a trinket with this shit." She threw the change down.

"Fuck!"I cursed loudly before smacking a fifty down into her hand. "That's all I have on me. Now name?" She held it up in the sunlight before nodding while putting it away in her bra.

"She goes by KitKat, but everybody knows her name is Kenzi so I don't even know why she tried that shit." She rolled her eyes "Got a lighter?" I took my lighter from my pocket and lit her cigarette.

"But yeah you may catch her picking up her son from school on 71st tomorrow you know the kids at school on Monday's and shit." She blew out smoke. "When you see that bitch tell herโ€”matter of fact don't tell her shit. I'll catch her when I see her. Run off with my fucking four dollars and think she's gonna roam free forever. Fucking baggy pussy bitch." Okay. Sure it's not drugs.

"Thank you umm?" I snapped my fingers looking for the girl's name.

"Disclosed information." she gave me a tight lipped smile. "Good luck with whatever you're trying to find handsome." And with that she turned on her heel strutting down the sidewalk. Damn. Now she's sassy.

On the other hand, I think I've got an appointment at three with a crackhead tomorrow. Meanwhile I'm about to blow some money.

"Jamaica? As in a vacation?" Jaydas glossy lips curled up with her perfect brows in a lift.

"Duh Jayda. That's where people typically go on a vacation." I chuckled at her on FaceTime.

"I don't know Sylvester I-I mean I got Justyce and you got the restaurant and paperwork still has to be done for this week."

"Stop overthinking babe and just listen. Her grandmother won't mind taking her I'm sure, Nadia will take my shift for Friday and Saturday leaving us Sunday with no worries and you can have Mariska to finish your paperwork. C'mon now this is perfect."

"What about packing?" I smiled.

"Don't even worry about that we'll buy clothes when we get there although I'm sure all you need to buy is a bikini because we'll be naked the whole entire time." I ran my tongue over my lips taking in her body.

"Ooh. Me likey how you think, baby. I'll be sure to get a full wax before we depart." She grinned. Damn she knows she's beautiful.

"Okay now don't get me started." She blinked her lashes. "Don't forget to tell Saca ahead of time."

"Nah I think I'll just drop her off right before we leave and catch her off guard. That way she won't have any excuses." She put on her thinking face.

"You stupid as hell girl," we laughed.

"Shut up. I'll see you tomorrow baby. I'm so excited."

"See you tomorrow. Keep her warm for me." I referred to her pussy.

"You know it." She blew me a kiss before hanging up.

First things first, I got to get a haircut in the morning. I've been wolfing like a motherfucker all week.

Just a little insight on Sylvester and his state of mind right now.

Any predictions?

I think I want to change Justice to Justyce. A reader gave me the idea from her daughter's name. I just really like how it's spelled. What do you think?
