DOUBLE UPDATE: if you haven't read chapter 5, read it before this one!
------------------------------------------------------

At the next practice session, Bakugou officially joined them, and they had a meeting two days later with their manager, who offered to give them new profile pictures for their social media account, and to even create a new one for Bakugou. They all agreed, and their photos were taken the next day.

Their photos didn't have a wildly different theme from the one's the previous band members had, but they did have more vibrant colours that shouted more energy than the previous ones. They were all smiling in the photos, the smiles reflecting their personalities. Once the social medias were updated, their band account posted the official photo, introducing Bakugou to the band's followers and fans.

Not even a day later, Bakugou had half a thousand followers on his new account that only had the official band photo, and he also had a bunch of DMs complimenting him, with also a couple hate comments but he couldn't care less about that.

To celebrate the success of having Bakugou officially join them, they all went out for dinner to a ramen bar, and they all talked like close friends, and Bakugou was glad to be included.

He doesn't know if his mother found out about the social media account, but she hasn't said anything about it, nor has his father, so he isn't too worried about it for now. One surprising thing was that his fans from his piano performances found out about the band, and whilst some seem a bit weirded out, others seem really happy, and even become fans of the band themselves. It is quite relieving to see they aren't hating on the band. Due to that, the band gained about a thousand followers, while his own band account gained almost the same amount he had on his other account. It's scary how things really get found out fast on the internet, but he's glad nothing was found out before that.

When they all calmed down from all the excitement, practice sessions resumed, and they practiced those covers more seriously, while Jirou still tried to find some inspiration for a melody for a song she'd like to write.

"You finished writing the lyrics?" he asked when he finished adjusting the drums. He was as early as usual, and Jirou didn't let him bother her as she tested out various melodies.

"Yes. I'm still debating which melody to use for that song in specific, but even if I don't chose one I'll still use it for another song," she shrugged.

He drummed quietly, absentmindedly, as he listened to Jirou singing, and screaming. He frowned as he listened more closely. Her voice seemed a bit hoarse, and scratchy.

As she sighed after finishing a part, Bakugou spoke up.

"Do you have a cold?" he asked.

"Huh?" Jirou looked up, and gave him a puzzled stare. "No? Why?"

"Your voice just seemed a bit rough," he stated.

"Oh. Yeah, I guess it hurts a little when I scream," she chuckled. "It's fine though, I always managed through it."

"Is it your technique?" he asked, raising an eyebrow. He couldn't imagine how a singing technique could hurt less than another, but he's never sung too much so he wouldn't know. He did learn how to scream at some point, and his throat never hurt too much when he did it. It only hurt at first, but then it roughened up and can handle it fine now.

"I've tried several techniques, but they all seem to hurt when I scream," she sighed. "Singing is usually fine, but after screaming it hurts a bit."

He hummed, frowning. "Do you like screaming?"

"It's satisfying, but it isn't really as much when it hurts," she sighed. "I like singing much more."

   "Why did you learn it?"

"Mostly because Kaminari and Kirishima thought it would be a cool addition to our band, and I agreed. It really is, but I'm the one stuck doing it."

"I learned how to scream, so I could teach you or coach you a bit if you want," he offered. "It's not too fucking hard to teach, it's just difficult to put that shit into practice," he said.

"I-..." Jirou stared at him, conflicted between two options in her head.

Bakugou assumed she was debating whether to agree or disagree, but in the end she surprised him.

"Would you like to be our screamer instead?" she asked, rendering him speechless.

   "What."

"Would you-" She stifled a chuckle.

"I- I don't want to say fucking no but what do the others want?"

"Who knows? They like you enough, so I don't think they would be against it. Kaminari might be reluctant, but he likes you more than he did before so I wouldn't worry too much about his opinion," she chuckled.

"I'll say 'yes' but only after you let me practice a few of those songs and let me see if I really do want to do it," he said. "Also, we should probably talk about it to the band?" he asked.

"You're right," she nodded. "They'll be here anytime soon, hopefully, so we can talk to them about it after the practice session," she smiled.

   "Yeah," he nodded.

She was right, as two minutes after they finished talking, the rest of the band came in, holding snacks and drinks, claiming that it will be for their breaks, whilst they all know they'll just be snacking in between songs.

As they practised, they improved their covers, songs, and Bakugou added his touch into all of them, making him feel like a part of the band even more. Until they release an album with him as part of the band, he probably won't truly feel like a part, but it is still nice to play with them.

As they all guessed, they snacked while Sero and Satou gave them feedback between songs, and even they were snacking so it took them a while to try and understand what they were saying behind their chewing.

Overall, band practice went as usual, until their first break came, and Jirou decided to mention the small role change she had discussed with Bakugou prior to practice.

Taking in a deep breath, she smiled at them. "Bakugou and I were thinking to change roles slightly, as in he'll scream instead of me."

Everyone was silent, until Sero spoke up. "Do we have to talk to the manager again then?" he asked.

"I-" Jirou blinked, then shrugged. "I guess?"

"Wait! Bakugou can scream?" exclaimed Kirishima, gasping.

"He yells at us all the time, it just makes sense!" exclaimed Kaminari.

"It does fit his aesthetic," nodded Tokoyami.

"Wait, why the sudden want to change?" asked Satou.

"Oh. Bakugou noticed how I hurt my throat, offered to coach me, but I ended up asking him if he wants to scream instead," she chuckled.

"I'm not against it," he said, smiling. "I'm only against if he's not as good as you."

"I'm sure he's better," chuckled Jirou.

"He is a natural at a lot of things," sighed Kirishima. "It's manly," he chuckled.

"I might not actually be the screamer," sighed Bakugou. "If I don't fucking like the screaming in your songs, I'd probably decline the offer," he said, crossing his arms.

"Bro. You look like you're shaking in excitement," said Kirishima. "I seriously doubt a 'no' is going to come from you for that."

   "Shut up."

   "He's right," grinned Kaminari.

   "Shut the fuck up."

"Why do I feel like he meant that," he sighed. "It's not fair that he's so much nicer to you Kirishima."

"I didn't hate him at first," he shrugged.

   "I don't think that's it."

"So! What do you guys think?" asked Jirou.

"I approve!" grinned Kirishima and Kaminari.

   "So do I," nodded Tokoyami.

"If things go well with the manager then I'm good with it too," said Sero, with Satou nodding beside him.

"Great," she grinned. "I'll make a list of songs that we'll likely perform at any concert or recital we might have, and you can go practice them and see if you want to scream for us," she said, going on her phone, and beginning to make a list. "We can try them out next week if you would like to? We're going to have to talk to the manager after though, and we probably should only after we tried a practice session. It's cool to have a new screamer, but if we can't perform like that, there's no point trying."

"Uh. I'd rather try harder than to have your voice hurt, Jirou," frowned Kaminari.

"I agree," nodded Kirishima. "We don't want a member to be in pain while we are all having fun," he said. He turned towards Bakugou, and grinned. "Bakugou, I'm looking forward to have you as our screamer," he said, his smile brighter than the last bright smile he gave the blond.

'He just keeps getting happier and happier,' thought Bakugou, sighing mentally while he put on a small smile. "Fuck yeah."

Practice resumed, but they seemed more energetic than before, most likely because the new things happening to the band are exciting.

Another break came in, and Bakugou decided to go outside for some fresh air. He likes the studio, but it can get stuffy in it.

Sighing as he leaned against the building, he watched Kirishima join him in the corner of his eye.

"I didn't know you could scream," he said, his voice quiet, as if he's afraid to disturb the silence around them.

"Didn't I tell you? I guess I fucking forgot," he shrugged.

"Maybe I did," he chuckled, looking up at the sky. "You are fitting in really well. I'm really glad you joined the band," he smiled.

Bakugou tried not to look at Kirishima's smile, knowing that his ears were already blushing. "Yeah? I guess I am too or whatever," he said, looking at the side. "The attention can be a bit too much though," he sighed, remembering all those DMs he received. He doesn't know too much about rock and punk fans, but from fanfictions he could only guess they probably know where he lives now.

"They are nice," promised Kirishima. "We don't really have crazy fans yet, so it's calm for now. Unlike popular bands, our fans wouldn't travel across the country to come see us for a small concert," he said. "It's a bit sad, but we get to reach the locals, and some other people so it's fine. We are still in the recognition stage, but releasing albums is still fun. It's how we reach the people who can't come to see us," he chuckled.

"Oh." 'I guess they don't know where I live yet. Maybe not the band fans.'

"But anyway. How are you?" he asked. "We always talk about the band, and not enough about ourselves, I feel like," he chuckled.

"Hah? We know each other plenty," he said. "I'm fine. What about you?"

"I'm alright too," he smiled. "A bit nervous about all the changes in the band, but change is good, so I just need to keep up," he said. "Not that I feel like I'm being left behind and everything- It's just- I don't know," he sighed.

"You sure you're alright?" asked Bakugou, raising an eyebrow. "Don't think too much about it. You're doing fucking fine."

"I... Thanks," he smiled, his smile too small, but still genuine. "I doubt myself, even when there is no need for me too," he admitted.

"There's never a need to doubt yourself, dumbass. "Anyway, we have shit to get done, we can't let things like that bring us down," he said, pushing himself off the wall, and standing up straight. "Let's go back."

   "Okay," nodded Kirishima. "Thanks."

   "Don't fucking worry about it."

Kirishima chuckled, and followed him back into the studio. When they got back inside, they only had the time to take a drink, before they needed to get to practice again. Practice is fun when you don't mess up too much, and if they all had the time of their lives, then they didn't need to say anything for them all to know.

When Bakugou got back home, he was greeted with a half burnt dinner, but the lack of cup noodles pleased him.

"I made dinner," said Midoriya, showing Bakugou the messed up katsudon he tried to cook. "I followed your recipe, so it is your fault it looks like this."

"Did you watch television while it was cooking and forgot about it."

   "No."

"Are you fucking lying to me?"

"Yes," he pouted, looking at the side. "It taste better than it looks," he said.

"It fucking better," he growled, digging in as soon as he sat down at the table. "Hm. Not too bad. A bit bland."

"Kacchan. You eat way too many spices, that's why your taste buds taste nothing except ghost chilis."

Bakugou flipped him off while he was chewing rice, and then looked over at the television. It seems like Midoriya was watching his previous performances.

"What's that for?" he asked, pointing at the television.

"I was trying to find things I used to suck at and that now I'm good at," he said. "I'm trying to make myself feel better," he added. "It's not really working, and I feel like I got worse over time."

'He sounds like Kirishima for a second,' he thought, while humming. "Well, anyway. Tell the neighbours that there will be noise. I might become the screamer for HEROES, so I need to test things out."

   "Can't you like... scream quietly?"

   "Shut up."

   "Like that yeah."

   "No."

"Okay fine. I'll only tell them if they come to disturb us. Or well, me," he sighed. "Well. I'll just be here, I guess, watching classical performance fails to cheer me up about my lack of skills," he sighed.

"Shut the fuck up. You're fine. If you weren't, I wouldn't be your fucking accompaniment, would I?"

"You would. You are my childhood friend so you have to-"

"No. I'm only doing it because it shuts you up, but also because you are not that bad. Of course, I'm way better than you but you get the point."

"Yeah. I wish I did more."

"Shut up," he sighed. "I'm leaving."

   "Have fun screaming."

"Have fun dealing with the neighbours and your never-ending nervousness."

   "Thanks."

Bakugou waved him off after he finished eating, as he went into his room.

Taking out his phone, he went over the songs Jirou sent him, writing them down on a piece of paper to be able to refer to them more easily.

He searched up the first song on YouTube, while already knowing what it sounds like, but he just wants to listen to it once more.

Right as he was about to press 'play,' Jirou sent him a pdf, and a thumb up.

"Fuck- She just sent all the lyrics," he gaped, looking at the document. "Alright, let's get this done with," he grinned, putting his headphones on, one ear uncovered so he can hear himself.

Breathing in deeply, he waited to his time, and then he began screaming. He almost couldn't contain his smile. Screaming was almost calming, it helped him calm down his anger, and if he never learned how to scream, he'd probably be less relaxed than he is now.

The lyrics weren't quite his style, as some were about love, others about insecurities that he'd rather not think about, but some of them were simply him, and he loved them. Those lyrics were angry, yelling about people who wronged him, people who simply don't get him, and he couldn't help but relate, and understand the lyrics.

He spent most of the evening practising the songs, and once he tested them all, he was very satisfied. He had only one thought in his head, and it made him grin.

'Can't fucking wait to scream in front of a crowd,' he grinned, barely able to keep his want to perform so badly.
