2 years later.

11:55

Just five minutes. I stood up from the bed where a sleeping Raven lightly snored. I paced around the room. I shook out my arms. I am going to shift tomorrow. Oh my gosh I'm going to be eighteen! Holy shit I'm going to shift for what would be the second time. Is it going to hurt? I looked at the bed where I now saw Raven moving his arm around looking for me. Like most couples, we definitely did not wait to complete the mating process. Of course, after my being kidnapped by Adam we took some time to rejuvenate together but after that rather short time period we finally did it. And may I say? I never knew how heavenly it could be. We were eager for one another already and the first heat I had after being kidnapped only sped up that process.

I sat down at the bay window. "Babe what are you doing?" I heard him say. His voice groggy from both lack of sleep from our earlier encounter and from just waking up.

"I can't sleep." I admitted.

I looked back at the clock, 11:57. "C'mon you'll be fine." He told me.

"How am I supposed to sleep when I have three more minutes until I'm an adult, until I could potentially shift, until I feel everything from the mate bond that you've been feeling." I hissed. We may have completed the mating process but our wolves have yet to connect and according to Raven, it is the completion of our souls meeting.

He sat up from the bed and made his way towards me. I scooted over so he could fit. Though with lack of space he sat on the edge. He wrapped his arms around me and kissed my forehead. "You're going to be tired for the party tomorrow." He mumbled against my skin.

"I don't care." I sighed, leaning into his kisses.

"You will tomorrow." He huffed to himself. I rolled my eyes because it was obvious that I had heard him. His head dipped to my neck.

"You don't understand Raven." I grinned and pushed his head away from my neck to keep him from making more love bites.

"I don't understand? I've been 18 before believe it or not." He laughed. His face dropped, "I was 18 five years ago... Damn time flies." He muttered as he trailed off.

"Whatever." I scoffed.

"Aye guess what." Raven said while turning towards me and giving me a goofy grin.

"One minute." He chanted.

I slapped his chest. "Why did you have to do that! I'm already freaked out!"

"For a minute? You've only got about twenty seconds left anyways." He shrugged.

"Stop it Raven! You know I'm nervous." I growled out to him.

"Ten, nine, eight, seven..." I quickly cuffed my hand over his mouth, "Fuck you." I told him. I felt him bite at my hand, I retracted my hand away from his mouth. "Ouch-" I was cut off by his kiss.

He kissed me passionately, warmth and shocks could be felt as our lips molded against one another. He pulled away and pushed a strand of my hair behind my ear, "One. Happy Eighteenth birthday babes."

I smiled at him and blushed. "Now will you go to sleep with me. I'm tired." Raven whined, ruining the moment as he stood up and made his way to the bed.

"Ugh I hate you." I told him as I got up from the bay window and got underneath the warmth of the covers.

"Love you too." Raven mumbled into the crevice of my neck.

———

Everyone seemed to be having fun. I hadn't seen Raven after he said he went to go get something. I strolled by the food table and picked up a cupcake. Of course I was going to eat a lot, especially when free food is included. Because I am a Luna, Raven preened himself on creating a large party for my eighteenth birthday and shift. The whole pack all being crammed in the largest room of the pack house. I approached a familiar face within the crowd and smiled as I saw Emmanuel with Katherine hooked onto his hip. "Hey, have y'all seen Raven." I asked them. Both Emmanuel and Katherine were perfect fro one another, each with their own calming demeanor and they got together quickly which was noticed by the entirety of the pack by scent shifts.

"Last time I saw him he was outside." Katherine smirked.

I stared at her intently, "I know that look and I don't like it." I pointed playfully at her. I rolled my eyes, turned on my heels and made my way outside, I paused at the food table and snagged another treat before fully making my way outside.

I noticed at there was nobody outside, compared to the countless of people that were out earlier. Lights were sat on the ground, and of course I followed them. I walked for a good five minutes through the trees. I knew where we were heading no doubt. The blanket was sat by the pond. Just like it had been on our first date. I gushed at Raven's effort that he put into this all and the party. Although there was no Raven in sight. There was still a trail of lights so I decided to follow them.

"Where are you going." I heard his voice with a slight laugh hidden in his tone.

I smiled and turned around. Raven's eyes twinkled with love and lust.

And he was down on one knee.

Oh hell no there was no way this was happening. "Holy shit." I whispered out. He only laughed and pulled out a box. Tears were already welling up in my eyes. I simply couldn't hold them in. I lifted my hands to my cheeks, wiping my own tears.

"We've been together for two years now and I think we can both agree that we were meant for one another. Mate bond or not. I knew that I wanted to be with you from the start no matter how much I didn't want to admit it. But once I got over the age gap I was able to bond with you. I love you so much Delaney so I'm here to ask you an important question. Will you marry me?"  Raven asked with a chuckle.

I took a step forwards towards him, "Yes, Of course." I cried out as tears now streamed down my face. He took the ring out of the box and took my hand, I gently pushed his hand away from mine and kissed him first.

He laughed into the kiss, "Let me put the ring on you." He murmured.

"I could care less about the ring." I whispered as I attacked his face with smaller kisses.

"Delaney." He warned. I backed up and rolled my eyes as he then took my hand in his and slipped an intricate opal gemstone ring onto my finger. He must have overheard my playful discussion with Katherine about my dislike of diamond rings because somehow he managed to get my favorite stone.

"I love you." I whispered to him as I embraced him.

"Thank you for making my life complete." He whispered back.

"There's somewhere I want to show you now." He told me. He turned towards me and noticed the tears that still streamed down my face. He wiped them and took my hand, "C'mon." He grinned.

He lead me onto the other side of the pond where I noticed a large sized farm house. I had never noticed it due to the large oak tree that blocked the view. Raven pulled up the sleeves of his shirt to his elbows as he began to speak of the house. " This is the house that the alpha's family used to occupy. Although it's been decades since it's been used. It's definitely a fixer upper but I think once we clean it out it'll be great. We cut down some of these branches of the tree, make a small garden right there, build a porch that wraps around the house. A small balcony right there in the master bedroom, and our kids will have enough room to run around. Do you-"

Our kids?

I felt absolutely giddy at the mention of our future.

I hugged him, "I love it. Do you think we could go inside." I jumped up and down, eager.

"Of course." He grasped my hand and rubbed circles with his thumb as we walked in. It was beautiful even with all the dust and blankets that covered old furniture. "Oh it's beautiful." I told him. I went into the kitchen, it was the perfect size that was open to the dining room. Windows filled the walls, allowing enough light in.  I saw the stairs and looked back at him, he nodded and followed behind me. There was a hallway with four doors on one side. I opened the first one the held a bathroom. The next three were bedrooms. On the other side was a small Lenin closet and two large doors which I assumed went to the master bedroom. I gripped at the door knobs and turned at Raven, he just laughed and walked towards me. He took one of the knobs and opened the doors with me. My mouth opened wide. The room had two large windows on the far wall where Raven had said we could build a balcony. A small fireplace was on the left side and a walk way into a bathroom beside it.

"Everything is so beautiful." I said still in a daze. This was going to be our home.

"As much as I would like to stay here, we still have to go back to your party."

"Do we have to." I whined playfully.

Raven looked at me lustfully, his eyes becoming black, signaling that Aster had taken over. I looked back at him and took a deep breath. I had been waiting for this moment the past two years and it has officially come. Though we had completed the mating process... many... many times... This time my wolf would be connecting with Aster's. I looked back at him with the same lustful look.

"I love you so fucking much." Raven told me as he whisked his hands into my hair.

"I love you too." I whispered.

I love him with all of my heart and there's no doubt I'll always be His young mate.
