Welcome back loves! I hope you enjoy!

Jax hugged me then got into the car, Raven looked me up and down awkwardly. "Bye." I heard a slight mumble.

"Goodbye." I said as Raven retreated into the car as well.

I watched as the car holding my mate and brother went into the oblivion. This week should be easy. I don't need a man to make me feel safe. That's the whole reason I'm training. To be able to fight on my own and make myself stronger. However, the more I thought about Raven and Jax, the more I felt as if I needed them. Specifically Raven, I've been away from Jax for weeks at a time. Although I have just met Raven and I feel as if I need to be near him. The day before felt like a living hell just from being away from him during my heat. In fact, last night was torture during dinner, I had to act as if I was fine even through my pain just so mother wouldn't suspect anything.

I still had not understood the reasoning behind keeping such things from Mother, she deserved to know that her own husband and children were not who they were posing to be, right? Surely she would not hurt the pack if she knew.
———

The days passed unbearably slow, I felt lonely without Raven and even a part of me missed him. I was unsure of what was part of the bond and what was my own logical thinking. Either way I knew I missed him. I only had to wait 3 more days until they would be returning . I spread nutella on my toast as Katherine talked. Surprisingly, I had been spending even more time at the Pack House than the previous days with Raven. I chewed on my toast enjoying the hazelnut chocolatey flavor. I was lost in my thoughts until a loud bang of the door sounded throughout the Pack house.

My head immediately snapped to the side where I heard the sound, I glanced at Katherine giving her the ' What-The-hell' look. Katherine shrugged her shoulders and got off her bar stool to look through the kitchen.

"May I please see the Alpha?" A feminine voice called out.

Katherine peered her head back into the kitchen, "Looks like your first Luna duty is here." She said, pulling on my arm to drag me out of the kitchen.

"Wha-" I was unable to finish before I walked into the main entrance of the Pack house and noticed a woman waiting in the center. She was tall with long dirty blonde hair and hazel eyes. She looked remarkably close to the woman in the photo I had seen in Raven's office.

"Hello, do you know where I can find the Alpha?" The woman asked. She looked rather jumpy and nervous. I took note of this, suspicious of her actions as she fiddled with the hem of her coat.

"Raven is on a trip at another pack on the Canadian border." I briefly said, lifting my chin to meet her eyes.

"Do you know when he will be back? I have some important information to discuss with him, it's too much to discuss over mind link." The woman said, pulling at her hem before tightening her grip on her purse.

"Raven will be back in three days." I answered, I was unsure of how to respond to the situation. I knew Luna's were a leading figure but I still was unsure of how to go about it all.

"Oh dear, I suppose it's enough time... Hun? You shouldn't call the Alpha by his first name, it's very disrespectful." The woman said, I moued at the fact that this wasn't the first time someone had told me this.

I thought back to when Martha had told me this, . "Uh I'm actually-"

I heard the door open again, cutting me off. I peered over the woman in front of me to see Micheal, our trainer.

"Luna Lily!? Is that really you!?"

"Yes Micheal, it's me." The woman beamed, a gracious grin lifting to her lips.

I looked at the woman confused. Luna?

"Luna Delaney, nice to see you as well." Micheal said. I grinned back at him.

The woman I now knew as Luna Lily turned back towards me. "Oh my-"
She paused. "Your too young to be a Luna! Did my son agree to an arranged marriage!?"

Son?

I didn't have enough time to respond before she answered her own question. "Oh my he did didn't he! You have to leave now. I can take you to your old pack if you'd like!"

Michael chuckled, "No no she's-"

Luna Lily cut him off and began pulling on my arm. "My son is truly the worst!"

I glanced over my shoulder to see Katherine laughing at the situation and not bothering to assist me. I took a step back, Luna Lily looked back at me. "I think you've got it all wrong ma'am." I paused.

She furrowed her eyebrows, "I'm Raven's, your son's? mate, uh maybe you know my brother? Jax." I said, Jax and Raven had been friends for years and it would be no surprise if she had known him.

Her eyes lit up, "Your my son's mate!? But how? you look so young!"

"I asked the same question." I muttered. Being in the presence of this woman Mae be partially self conscious, she held grace and stood tall. Meanwhile, I was a so called Luna that was also a teen. I was still learning of to fight as I endured training, I was not witty nor physically curvy. In all, it made me wonder how Raven managed to become my mate.

"Oh and of course I know Jax, he and Raven used to play together all the time when they were younger. " she looked down at the floor longingly.

I heard the main door open once again. "Hun? I thought you said it would just take a few minutes." A tall lean man said.

"Oh yes, my bad. He's not here." Lily frowned.

The man wrapped his arm around her waist, "He isn't?"

"No, he's on a pack trip. He'll be back in three days." She mumbled.

"Any way we can stay here?" Luna Lily looked towards Micheal.

"Of course! Also welcome back Liam." Michael said gesturing towards the man with his arm tightly around Luna Lily's waist. Michael however, looked at the two rather distastefully making me question how close they were to Raven.

I heard the door once again open and close quietly. I looked over to see a girl around my age. She was pale with freckles that filled her cheeks, with light brown hair, and light blue eyes.

"Mom?" The girl said. She glanced towards me before looking back at Luna Lily.

"I thought you said it was only going to take a few minutes." The girl said sounding timid.

"Oh sorry sweetie, come along, we'll be staying here for a few days. "

"Oh. " the girl walked towards Luna Lily.

"Uh Delaney was it? I think we'll have to talk later. Is that okay?" Luna Lily said turning towards me.

"Oh, yes of course."  I grinned.

Michael took the current  family of three upstairs. I turned to Katherine, "Uh that was crazy..." I mumbled.

"I never knew Raven had another sibling!" I said shocked.

"Nor did I. " Katherine mumbled, watching the three walk up the stairs.

"Why did she leave Raven and Jake here but bring that girl with her to wherever she came from?" I questioned.

"Not sure. My mom says that Luna Lily used to be a great Luna, until she was unexpectedly gone one day."

I watched as well, the girl glancing back to look at us. I leaned against the counter and picked up my nutella sandwich and continued to eat it, questions filling my mind.

---

The knife had just barley skimmed over the young boy's crying face. Everyone watched in horror as the man said colorful words towards the young innocent boy. Nobody stood up to face the strong cruel creature. Nobody wanted to help. Nobody would be able to fight the gruesome creature and still have a heart beat afterwards. The ghastly situation was a mere seconds from getting worse as the man held a knife up to the young boy's neck. The young boy pleaded to the man and to the crowd of people, who stood shocked.

I sprang up out of my bed with a layer of sweat covering my body. Tears were close to falling out as I thought about the situation the young boy was in. I wiped my eyes and pulled my pillow into my arms as I squeezed it tightly. I looked at my clock that read 12:00 AM. I picked up the shirt that was given to me, only the faintest of Raven's scent was left. Sighing, I stood up and walked out of my room. I knew father is almost always still working at this time. I knocked gently on his office door.

"Come in." I heard a sigh.

I walked in hesitantly, "Dad?"

"Yes hun? What is it?"

"Can you drive me to the Pack house, I can't sleep." I mumbled.

My dad looked at me and raised an eyebrow. "May I ask why?"

My cheeks flushed red, "Just need to grab one of Raven's shirts, just so I can sleep."

"Okay, but we can't take long. Your mother will be expecting me to be in bed soon."

An involuntary smile reached my lips as I ran to the front door, I reached a hoodie over my head as my father quietly walked towards the door, grabbing his keys on the way out.

The drive had only took us about 5 minutes, before I saw the now familiar setting. My father parked in front of the Pack House, "Be back in five minutes." He mumbled, pulling his phone from his pocket and began to work on it. I nodded my head and walked into the pack house quietly. I expected the hallways to be quiet but instead it was busy and bustling with people walking in and out. I walked passed a room with a large tv and noticed many people watching a football game. I jumped up in shock as everyone began to scream towards the tv as someone from the opposite team scored. It was surprisingly busy for a Monday night.

I walked up the stairs and walked down the countless hallways that I remembered Raven had taken me before. I had soon reached the large wooden door. I turned the knob gently and found that it was locked. I sighed, I looked around me and thought of a place he would keep the key. I felt a small tap on my shoulder, I turned around to see Luna Lily. I guess throughout my frustration I had barley noticed she was nearby. "Why are you here this late?"

"Cant sleep...I just needed to get another shirt from Raven's room. The other one kinda lost his scent, ya know?" I mumbled as my cheeks turned into a rosy pink.

She raised an eyebrow just like my father had, "Luckily, I know how to pick a lock" she smirked.

I smiled and thanked her as she pulled a Bobby pin out of her hair. The situation had seemed cliche but I was glad that she at least knew how to pick a lock. She wiggled the Bobby pin in mysterious ways and within seconds the door unlocked and opened.

"Go along."  She whispered.

I entered the room and shut the door behind myself and immediately looked around for his closet. I saw a door in the corner of his room and opened it hesitantly. I peeked in and noticed it was a large walk in closet. Raven had only filled up a small portion of the large closet. I looked through his clothes to try and find an old t-shirt. I sighed when I couldn't find one that held his scent. I walked back into his room to see his bed unmade and messy. I picked up a pillow and noticed his scent was strong within it right away.

Surly he wouldn't mind me taking his pillow. Right? After all it's his fault for not leaving me anything else. I looked around his room and noticed his book shelf once again. Curiosity filled within me, I know I'm not supposed to even be here right now but now I just want to explore his room as much as I can. I picked up the same book that I had picked up a few days ago when Raven had gotten angry at me. I plopped down on his bed with the book in my hands, debating if I should read it or if it's even important.

I hesitated as I held the book, I pulled out my phone to check the time seeing that my father would be expecting me back.

'Going to sleep here tonight.' I texted to him. I sat down my phone and looked back to the book, I bit my lip as I flipped to the first page and noticed doodles, I flipped through countless pages and saw mostly doodles. It wasn't until about the twentieth page when I saw writing.  I closed the book for a brief moment before opening it again and dividing into his writing.

Today I met my mate. I couldn't believe my eyes when I saw her! She's more than anything I could have asked for. It was hard to believe that she has been in our pack this whole time and I have never felt the bond.

A smile reached my lips. I felt bad that I was intruding on his diary of sorts but I can't help but read on. I mean, hell! He's writing about me!

She's one of the most beautiful women I've ever seen. She has long brown hair and the most softest brown eyes I've ever seen. I was so tempted to mark her as soon as I saw her. Her name is Victoria. We spent the whole day together, I learned quite a lot about my precious mate. She has two brothers, her favorite color is pink, her wolf's name is Olivia, her wolf is beige and quite small.

I was taken aback, I skimmed through the rest of the page as he continued to talk about his 'mate'. My head was throbbing from what I read. I read the date and realized is was just about two years ago. What had happened to her? How is she his mate, if I'm his mate? I skipped a few pages and continued to read, I didn't want to, but I felt compelled to.

Today I took Victoria on our first date, it has been just a few days since we met  but we get together so well. We talked and talked for hours, although it felt like minutes. I never want her gone from my sight. After our date we came back to the Pack house and watched a couple of movies together. It was a simple activity although I could tell that she enjoyed it as much as I did.

The rest of the page was erased and smudged. I closed the book and threw it across the room in anger.I watched as it hit the wall harshly and landed on the floor. I can't help but feel jealous at the way he feels towards her. A headache was coming my way due to all the thoughts zooming through my head. I felt a wet drop hit my cheek, I didn't even know I was crying . I wiped my eyes, I shouldn't be crying because of him. I just met him, I don't know his past and that was evident in the fact he had not told me of this. Neither had Jax, nobody had told me that he had a mate previously.

I laid down in his bed, my stressed mind and my tired body soon calmed and before I knew it, darkness overcame me.

After all, Curiosity killed the cat. Right?
