"What the fuck do you mean 'I don't know"?" I stomped over.

"I mean, I don't know! After she was left here I went to go look for her within the group but they all said they hadn't seen her. So I went looking around the building and I haven't seen any sign of her." Jax spoke nervously, he fidgeted with his fingers before rubbing a hand through his hair. I was livid, how could he not find his own sister and my mate?

I pushed him away from the door and walked down the hallway. I sniffed the air looking for her scent. I huffed when I couldn't sense her. I walked down another corridor and stopped in my tracks when I heard distant talking.

"Let me go!" I heard someone yell.

I followed in the direction I heard the voices. Her voice.

Once I reached a door I turned the knob quickly. Delaney sat— bounded by rope—in a chair in the middle of the room while a woman stood, her back away from me. Once the woman turned around my mouth dropped.

"Victoria." I stated. My brows furrowing, I should have known she would have a place in this. She was a caustic woman, one that dare I say... I hated. It was not often that I hated someone but besides my father she was at the top of the list. She made me feel heart broken, when I was meant to save myself for my true mate, Delaney... She stole that opportunity from me.

She smiled and made her way towards me, "Yes baby, it's me." She grabbed my head in her hands. I cringed in disgust and pushed her arms away.

"What's wrong?" She frowned.

"You. That's what's wrong. I wished to never see you again!" I yelled towards her and pushed her to the ground. I didn't care about the rule of not harming a woman in this moment. I wanted to hurt her.

"Oh you don't mean that! Take me back home, we can end off what we started." She frowned while getting back up. She brushed the dirt off her blouse and straightened her pencil skirt.

I watched from the corner of my eye as Delaney smiled at Victoria while I rejected her. I was happy to see that she was unbothered by the situation unfolding and the words Victoria expressed. I meant to tell Delaney, I really did but when my father's antics came back into my lie I simply never got the chance to...

"You- you're the rat in the pack aren't you? Every time you visited someone- your family they would tell you what's going on and you told Adam. How dare you!?" I yelled when I came to the realization.

"Oh baby you know that's not true." She whispered as she came my way.

"Get away from me you bitch." I growled.

She wrapped her arms in my hair and crashed her lips onto mine. I cringed into the kiss yet she deepened it, pushing her body closer to mine. I attempted to push her off yet she wouldn't budge. I turned my head to the side to get away from her. I stared at Delaney's shocked expression. I finally pushed Victoria off of me harshly.  I mentally praised the fact of her lips being off of me. I watched her body stumble back slightly.

She walked away slowly moving her hips. I walked to Delaney and untied the rope that was put around her small frame. I growled once I got a good look at the bloody rim on her wrists from the cuffs she was forced to wear. Her waist grew smaller and she looked awfully weak from the lack of food. I looked into her eyes sharing an expression of pain, pain that she had to experience this. I would have given myself any day to have myself go through it instead of her.

Once Delaney was untied Victoria turned around "Why don't you want me back." She whispered  lowly.

"Because I have everything I need. I have my real mate." I spoke loudly, my arm lightly caressing her shoulder.

"That little girl right there? Are you serious?" She seethed.

I nodded my head, Delaney wasn't a little girl, she was already a young woman and each day I recognized her growth emotionally as well. "She's my mate, I'd do anything for her." I whispered, looking down at Delaney as she looked back up at me.

Victoria scowled, "And you really think I'd take you back after what you did? After you ripped my heart away. When you faked the mate bond just to have power. I know your ways Victoria." I told her. "I am not as naive as I once was."

"Oh baby, that's not true! I've changed I can lead the pack better than she could ever!" Victoria yelled.

"You've changed? That's what they all say. 'Ive changed, I'm different now, I'll do anything' Really Victoria? You are not coming back to my pack ever. I will not be your mate. I will kill you right now if you say one more thing that annoys me." I said while taking steps forwards to be closer to her while I took out the knife from her grasp of her hand. Her eyes dropped down to the knife I had just took from her. She backed away slowly, slowly took off her heels and dropped them on the floor beside her. She gave one last look at Delaney and I before turning on her heel and running. She busted through the door at the back of the room.

I turned around quickly to face Delaney, I rushed to her and bent down. "I'm sorry. I'm so sorry." I mumbled into Delaney's neck. She smiled slightly then lifted my head and nodded towards the door. I gave her a weak grin before I stood up quickly and made my way to the back of the room to run after Victoria. "Jax is down the hall, you go find him and get out."  I yelled towards her. She nodded her head, I gave one last look at her before running out the door. I shifted quickly, not bothering to take off my clothes, causing them to rip them fall to the floor in shreds.

I sniffed the air, looking for a scent. As soon as I caught the old scent I once adored I ran towards it. I jumped over countless broken logs and branches before making my way to a clearing where I saw she sat. She stood up once she saw me. I noticed as she sat back down, surrendering herself.

I growled at her, taking steps forwards while baring my teeth. This time, ready to finally end her. Once I was just a couple feet away from her I stared at her, dead in the eye. I was once in love with this woman, but after what she's done I'm ready for her to be dead. To finally be dead, once and for all.

I lowered my snout next to her neck. I roughly grabbed her neck with my teeth and pushed her to the ground. Her wolf whined in fear, she closed her eyes quietly waiting for the impact.  I clamped my teeth into her neck once more, slowly turning her head. Is it bad that I wanted her to die, slowly and painfully? I let go of her body and began to claw marks into her back and around her body. I enjoyed the blood that began to seep out through her light fur. Her gore that stained the dirt crimson was a sight for sore eyes. The acrid metallic scent sent shivers down my back causing Aster to take control and bite her in the back. Aster wanted this more than I, his wolf instincts met with the desire for blood.

I let out wolf-ish laugh as I watched her eyes clamp shut more hard and as I heard her whine. I closed my eyes as I saw her eyes open and slowly fade. All of her life leaving her body. I bit her neck one last time. I backed up, she watched me back up. She whined softly, weakly, quietly. I backed up and watched as her body went limp.

I smiled. Finally she's gone, I won't ever have to see her awful self again. This was an accomplishment, one of the people who made my life a living hell was gone, forever and I was grateful for that for an odd reason.

'Take Victoria's body back to the pack. So her family can say their goodbyes.' I mind linked Jax. They honestly should not have that pleasure but I was a forgiving Alpha... Most times that was. And the short time I knew her family, they were welcoming and generous, it was just her evil soul that led her down this road, to death.

'Yes sir. Delaney is safe and away from harm. We will have the trucks come to pick everyone up.' Jax replied. I began to head back to the concrete building. I watched as everyone ran around assisting everyone. Someone threw clothes down on the floor in front of me. I looked up and took in her features. I gave a small whimper, a sign as my displeasure to her wounds.

Delaney came towards me and petted my fur gently, she leaned down to match my level. "Go change." She whispered quietly into my ear. She looked at me deeper for a few moments before stepping back.

I nodded my head and took the clothes behind a tree. After changing I came out, I looked around for Delaney and made my way towards her after seeing her on a nearby bench. I took her in my arms immediately. I gave her a chaste kiss. I knew I wouldn't be able to keep my hands off of her for the next few weeks.  "Are you okay?" I asked, my head in the crevices of her neck. I took in her scent, letting a small breath of rejoice fan her skin.

"I'm breathing aren't I?" She whispered to me. I pulled back to look at her face, I smiled towards her and pushed a strand of her hair behind her ear.

"What happened?" I asked, my brows furrowing.

She took in a deep breath. "A lot." She sighed.

"Wanna talk about it?" I asked, my hands caressing her cheeks.

"I'm awfully tired." She mumbled, leaning her head on my shoulder. I leaned my forehead against hers for a moment before I embraced her further.

"We'll be home soon." I whispered to her. "Then you can tell me everything."

She nodded, yawning then drifting off into sleep.

Thank the moon goddess...My mate is safe.
