"Luna Delaney." A voice said behind me.

I jumped up in fright and turned to see who it was. "My bad." I cleared my throat. "You just startled me." I whispered out.

The man wore a sling and hoodie that covered his face. I shivered, something didn't feel right. "I have a proposition for you." He stated. "An important one." He added.

"Oh, uh yes what is it sir?" I shifted my weight onto my other leg, uncomfortably.

"Are you happy here?" He questioned, from the tone of his voice I could sense a smirk.

"Of course I am, happier than I ever was." I responded, fiddling with my fingers.

"Hmph, very well then. What if I said that I could take you somewhere far away from here. I could buy you anything you'd ever want, perhaps get you a new mate-"

I cut him off, "A new mate!? I love Raven I wouldn't trade him for the world." I hissed out, turning my back from the curious man.

He cleared his throat, "A new and better family, you'd have lots of friends and an overall better life."

"Why?" I questioned, a bit of malice slipping through my lips.

"Why what?"

"Why would anyone ever agree to this? I love my family and my mate. My life is perfect right now." This man was creepy. It didn't feel right, being alone in this room with him.

"I've seen you fight with Raven a lot lately." Has he been watching us!? I turned around to face him, slowly. Lifting a brow as I fumbled with my fingers.

"So? Every couple fights." I replied, shifting my weight once more.

"So you're a couple now?" His hoarse voice said, amusement filling in his voice.

"Uh I suppose we are." I squirmed uncomfortably, his gaze staring holes onto me.

He looked at me through his hoodie. I felt a burning sensation from the way he looked over my body. This didn't feel right. "If you'll excuse me sir." I murmured while picking up my plate and exiting the kitchen.

The man grabbed onto my arm that held the plate, it fell to the ground with a loud clash. I froze for a few moments, seemingly stuck in this moment. I frowned at him, his knuckles turned white from the pressure of his hold. "I thought I could do this the easy way." He stated.

"Let go of me." I growled while trying to twist out of his strong grip.

"Feisty one aren't we? Maybe I can use that to my benefit later on, I love a challenge." He said amused.

"Not on my watch." I said while I lifted my leg and kicked him in the crotch. I paused a few moments, unsure if I had really done that.

He landed on the ground groaning, "Mark get her!" He yelled. I looked around and saw as another man come out from the hallway. I took a couple of steps back yet my back hit the counter. I ran into the kitchen looking for anything to throw at the large man. I cursed while looking for the knife drawer. My mind a blur and unable to think.

I saw a shadow form in front of me. The man grabbed my sides and threw me over his shoulder. I screamed loudly attempting to get anyone's attention. He ran towards the front door of the pack house. I clawed at his back as he got further and further from my place of safety. I felt a loud pounding come from behind me. Raven, he was nearby.

"Get back here you filthy rat." I heard Raven yell with such acrimony.

I was about to yell out to him so he knew where I was but the man holding me took a wrong step and I plummeted down to the ground.

Darkness.

———

My ears rang and my head pained everywhere. It was quiet. Almost silent other than the sounds of the forest. Where was Raven? Where was the person? Surely they wouldn't leave me. I tried to lift my arm but I winced in pain. I lifted my head, it was now dusk. Which meant I've been out here alone for a while. I fought through the pain in my arms and pushed myself off the ground.

A laugh sounded behind me, "Awake already darling?"

I turned my head to the man, it was the same one who was wearing the hoodie earlier. I could now see his face that was no longer covered by the hoodie. He looked awfully similar to...

"Alpha Liam?" I questioned.

"Alpha Adam." He corrected. A slight growl escaping his lips as his anger raised within.

So this was Ravens father. I pushed myself away a tad. I lifted my fingers to my forehead and brought it back down to view them. There was a small amount of blood that dropped from a wound. The blood seemingly sliding down my fragile skin and blinding my eyes.

"Wha- What are you doing? What's going on?" I asked, scooting further away.

"Nothing darling." He said while he walked closer to me, he held out his finger and wiped a drop of blood away. I turned my head away, he, still holding a tight grip on my chin. He took a couple steps back and turned away. "You're coming back to my pack."

"No I'm not." I growled, ripping away from his grasp.

"Yes you are, whether you like it or not. Now let's get you back to your nap darling." He smiled menacingly. He lifted his foot up and kicked my body back down into the ground.

Before I knew it unconsciousness had followed me once again.

———

I was awake although, I hid it. Keeping my eyes closed and staying unmoving. I was not so keen on the idea of being kicked again. Though, I began to hear a clanking, a tapping against metal. Soon, a warm humming voice joined in.

Hmm
Hmm hmmm
Hmm

Was someone humming during this disaster? Well that's where I must be mistaken, for them I'm just some prized possession they've finally managed to find and win. As soon as I'm able to leave their filthy hands I want to watch them die. I want to watch as Raven rips their bodies, was I turning into a horrible person for thinking this? They've barely done anything but who knows what will happen or what has happened already. All I know is that they've hurt me and taken me away from my mate.

I heard the humming and tapping again. Wherever I was was silent except for this obnoxious person. I could no longer hear the forest noises. I peeked my eyes open slightly, Where was I?

Stone walls
Bars
Chains
Darkness
That's all I could see.

"Awake already?" I heard a guy say. His voice held a Latin tinge to it.

I continued to look asleep I couldn't trust anyone while I was here. "You can give the act up." He said.

"You don't have to fake it around me." He said again.

He knew I was awake already so what was the use? I opened my eyes fully this time. Across me in another area sat a guy around eighteen. He had dark brown hair with dark golden skin. Two sets of bars separated the space between us.

I sat up, unlike the guy across from me, my hands and legs didn't hold chains around them. The guy looked at me with curiosity. "So how did a human girl like you get yourself in a place like this?" His voice was deep and slightly husky.

Human? So thats what they thought I was. It would be better if he didn't know the truth, I can't trust anyone here. I opened my mouth to speak but no sound came out. I was quenched and in need of water.

"There's water in the bowl there." He said while pointing to a small clay bowl on the ground. I leaned over to pick it up, there was nearly nothing in it although, it'll have to do. After drinking the whole thing I opened my mouth again to speak.

"I just went on the wrong piece of land. They didn't want me to tell anyone about what I saw." I made up.

The guy looked deeply at me. "That's a shame. You think your parents are looking for ya?"

"Maybe." I shrugged. I knew Raven had to be, Jax had to know about what had happened by now as well.

" Emmanuel." He introduced.

"Hmm?" I questioned, my focus still on the pain in my head

"My name, it's Emmanuel. You?" He said.

"Ahh, Delaney." I replied.

There was a pause of silence. "So how'd you get here?" I questioned.

"Well. I'm a rogue, meaning-" He began.

"I know what it means." I replied. From what I know, rouges are bad.

"Oh, well when I came onto their land I didn't agree to their terms so I was put down here."

"How did you become a rogue?" I asked this time, I wanted to learn of him. If anything struck me as odd, I would keep away but, if not I could use him to my advantage.

He scrunched his face. "Not all of us are bad, I was the next in line to be a gamma at my pack until we were attacked causing a lot of us to be rogues. Our alpha died and no pack would let us in due to the large amount of survivors."

How come Raven always made them sound so bad?

"What pack?" I asked this time.

"Just one up north. I've only been here for about a month." He replied.

Only? A month here would drive me crazy. Ive only been here for maybe a couple of hours and I already feel my mind being filled with insanity.

Emmanuel's face filled with worry. "Go back to sleep, they're coming." He whispered.

I quickly laid down on the cot and closed my eyes.

Step
Step
Step

I heard the dangling of keys. "Ready for your new dose?" Another voice hissed with disgust.

Emmanuel laughed, "I always am Mark."

"Shut it." Mark growled. I heard a loud slapping sound.

New dose?
What did he mean?

Emmanuel hissed, "Haha Mark you always know how to torture people." Emmanuel gave a fake laugh. "Oh jeez man what happened to your face! Looks like you were attacked by a bear. You're obviously not one for fighting man are ya?" He laughed again.

I heard the same slapping sound again. "I said. Shut. It."

"Is the girl awake?" Mark questioned. I heard rattling of keys before I sensed the bars open.

"No." Was all Emmanuel said this time.

"Very well then." I felt Mark fiddle with a piece of my hair.

He kicked at the bowl of water, my finger slightly flinched. "Yet, she drank her water?"

"Yes. She woke up, drank it, then went back to sleep." Emmanuel responded.

"How long ago." Mark questioned.

"About thirty minutes ago."

Mark stayed silent for a minute or so before saying, " I'll be back for your next dose in another twelve hours."

I waited until I didn't hear anymore footsteps to open my eyes. "Dose?" I questioned.

"Wolves bane." Was all he said.

"What's that?"

"It blocks you from talking through the mind link and shifting." He stated blandly.

Mind linking. Raven. I still had a chance to talk to him!

"Any idea where this place is?" I questioned quickly.

"Somewhere among the Canadian boarder."

'Raven.'

No response.

'Raven.'

Silence.

'I'm on the Canadian boarder. Please come soon. Love you.' Was all I said. I could already sense my wolf becoming weak from that small amount of mind-linking. My mind straining to get to him.

Emmanuel stared at me, "You're not human are you."

I cleared my throat, "I am."

"I saw your eyes, you were mind linking someone... Finally! Finally a way out of here!" He rejoiced.

"What are you talking about?"

"You have to get someone here, please." He begged.

"I- I don't know what your talking about?" I faked.

"Please your the only way that anyone here can get out."

"There's more people?"

"Yes, over twenty." Emmanuel said.

"Please." He begged again.

I looked at him, his eyes held pain and excitement at the same time. If there were other people here then.. it's only best that Raven save them too."

"Okay." I sighed.

'Raven.'

No response.

"He's not responding but I feel it going through." I told Emmanuel.

'Jax.'

'Delaney!? Thank god your alive!'

I smiled, 'Yes yes I'm here! Go to the Canadian boarder.' My mind tensed.

' There's more of us here. Come quick love you. Tell Raven I love him too.' I whispered, my mind barely having enough energy to finish.

My eyes felt groggy from mind linking. My body only had a small amount of energy left. I nodded my head to Emmanuel signaling that I had sent the message.

He smiled and leaned back on the wall.

"Thank you. Thank you so much." He whispered joyously.
