  *CHICAGO'S POV*

I wake up feeling a little bit better. The sun is already up and I notice that it has stopped snowing. I scan my surrounding  and see that I'm still in my hospital room.

I sit up on the bed as I rub my eyes. Seconds later I stretch my still sore body as I stand up and head towards the joining bathroom and shut the door.

When I come out fifteen minutes later I see Logan walk in. He's carrying a brown McDonalds to-go bag and two fruit smoothies.

"Where on earth did you get junk food at this time in the morning ?! ...and how did you manage to sneak it in ?" I ask Logan as he places the food on my bed.

He turns to face me, a sly smile plastered on his face. "For the food... I know a guy... and how I snuck it in... I simply used the Hughes name as my gate pass."

I start laughing at what he just said because if I was in his shoes I would have done the exact same thing.

"Lets eat."

I direct my gaze to Logan and see him taping the empty space beside him on the bed.

I shrug then hop beside him.

We eat in silence for the next twenty minutes before Logan decides to break it.

"Serenity got away." He says out of the blues.

I choke on my smoothie then turn to face him and as expected he's not looking at my direction.

I open my mouth to say something but close it instead.

He clears his throat then turns to face me. "...as for Dean... he needs blood asap cause he's barely holding on."

My faces goes white.

"I'm not hungry anymore." I mutter under my breath then push the food away from me. I get out of bed and go stand at the window and stare at nothing exactly.

I then shut my mind and sink into despair.

An hour later I'm still standing at the window but this time I'm not staring at nothing but rather at the melting snow outside.

I turn and see Logan  lying on my bed humming Taylor Swift's Me. Jean is sitting on the couch typing something on her laptop.

Probably work.

I think to myself.

Just when I'm about to turn my concentration back to the window, the door swings open.

I look up to see Dr.Carla Cane, the Hughes private doctor walk in while Richard Hughes follows suit.

Both Jean and I run to where Dr.Carla is standing while Logan sits up.

"Is everything okay ?" I ask, breaking the tension that had build up in the room.

Dr.Carla's lips sprawls into a smile and I eye her uncomprehendingly.

"I have good news." She says in an upbeat voice. "Dean Hughes is heading for surgery right now.We just got blood from an anonymous donor who matches his blood type."

Jean lets out tears of  joy and runs to hug her father.

I too am happy but I cant help but wonder...

"Whose the donor ?" I direct my question to Dr.Carla but in response she shakes her head.

"The donor is anonymous, meaning we don't get to take her details. We just receive the blood and let her go."

"Her ?"

"Yes... it's a woman. "

As soon as she said those last three words I rush out of my hospital room and head for the sixth floor because that's where the donors are.

I find the floor full of people but there's no woman donor.

Elevator !

When I get to the elevator I see the doors close and the woman is inside. I run to the private elevator and come out two minutes later.

I run at the front parking lot ignoring the paparazzi who are taking pictures of me. I look around and see her walking towards a black Bentley.

"Katherine !" I call out and she hesitantly turns to face me,  her grey eyes piercing into mine.

It's her.

"Thank you... for saving Wes." I finally say after what seems to be hours.

"No problem." She says then turns to leave.

"Please don't leave..." I plead while going to stand beside her.

"Richard can't find out I'm here." She murmurs sounding uncomfortable.

"Why not...Wes is also your son." I say and I feel her body go stiff beside mine.
