My good mood ruined and abusing him in my mind a couple of times I picked up my stuff from my cabin and left without informing anyone.

I then switched off my phone and got in the car and drove to my home. I was missing my family a lot. The drive lasted for two hours and I was tired but ecstatic to be home.

I entered and all the memories of my childhood came rushing back to me making me feel emotional. I went into the kitchen and saw my mom cooking, I tiptoed and put my hands on her eyes and said "Guess who?"

My mom turned around and upon seeing me, started crying and kissing me all over. "Oh Anika, I missed you so much, the house is empty without you"

On seeing her crying, I too stared sobbing and hugged her with all my might, remembering everything Siddharth has done to me since our wedding.

"Beta what's wrong? Is everything okay?" She asked in concern when I still didn't stop crying. Taking my hand we went to the living room and sat on sofa. After keeping my head on her lap she started running her fingers through my hair, making me feel secure and safe.

There's magic in mom's lap, makes you forget all your worries and protects you from all the evil in the world.

"What's wrong beta? You're making me worried"

On hearing that I composed myself and said in a croaky voice "Nothing mom, it's just I miss you all so much and I don't want to be away from you guys" I whined like a kid in the end.

"Anika, you're married now. Your husband's home is your home and you can stay here whenever you want but you have to go back to your real home" she spoke in a motherly voice.

"You mean it's not my home anymore!? I leave for two days and I'm a guest here" I again started crying.

"Oh god Anika, you 24 not 4, you're acting like a kid. Of course it is still your home but your real home is where your husband is" she made me understand while I stopped crying.

"Mom can I stay here for 2-3 days? Everything happened so suddenly and I didn't even get time to prepare myself mentally for it and I miss you all so much" I asked her with my puppy dog face which I mastered years ago and knew she wouldn't be able to resist.

She sighed loudly and agreed.

I did a mental victory dance. I knew my puppy dog look is a winner.

I got up and went to my old room. Oh my lovely room I missed you the most! I then went to my closet and changed into my pyjamas and thought of resting my eyes for sometime instead I didn't know when and how I slept.

I opened my eyes and looked around, I saw the time and shot out of bed, 10 pm!? I just wanted to rest my eyes. I went to the bathroom and washed my face a couple of times to wake up fully.

Feeling hungry I went downstairs, singing and dancing when I suddenly stumbled into someone. I lost my balance and was waiting for the fall when suddenly two arms wrapped themselves around my waist and pulled me towards them. Hard.

My hands limp at my side, I put my head on their chest while trying to compose myself. The person smelled familiar and when I looked up to see for myself, my suspicions came true.

The almighty Siddharth was here.

I was staring into his black intense eyes trying to read his emotions. He was always so closed off emotionally it was only in rare moments like these that you could see his feelings.

A lock of hair fell on my eyes when he unwrapped one arm of his and pushed my hair behind my ear while caressing my cheek leaving a burning trail behind. I gasped and closed my eyes revelling in his touch but just as soon the spell woven around us broke when I remembered his words from earlier.

I opened my eyes  and pushed him. Not getting my message, he tightened his hold instead and pulled me more closer leaving no space between us. I glared at him and said "Leave me" but the words came out in a whisper my body reacting to his touch. He smirked at my response and trailed his finger up and down my spine making me shiver.

"I.. I s..said l..leave m..m..me" I stuttered and cursed myself for being so weak.

"You say no and your body says yes, such contradicting words Anika" he tsked fuelling my anger. I tried getting out of his hold but without any success.

Not seeing any other option, I bit him on his neck hard making his body still in shock. Grabbing my chance I pushed him away causing him to stumble and grabbing the handrail to steady himself. I then ran from there and went to the kitchen while drinking water to calm my racing heart.

I bit him. I can't believe I bit him. How will I face him now!?

Groaning I hid my face in my hands feeling embarrassed with my actions and cursing myself for not thinking before doing anything. But why is he even here? I didn't even get a chance to ask him that because of what happened earlier.

I was hiding from him in the kitchen when my mom shouted "Anika come the dinner is ready"

"Uhh yeah I'm coming" I didn't want to go but not wanting to make her doubt anything, I went in the dining room and saw Siddharth sitting with my family. Upon seeing my father I hugged him and gave him a kiss on his cheek. Then I went towards Aarav and kissed him on his cheek as well while greeting him.

Seeing as the only seat available was next to my 'husband', I went there dejectedly and sat on his left side. I was about to serve myself when he said "What no kiss for your dear hubby?" He said pouting and acting way too innocent for a devil like him.

"Yes Di, jiju (brother-in-law) deserves a kiss too" Aarav butted in while I glared at him.

"Yes Anika, give him a kiss" Mom said and seeing no other way out I quickly kissed him on his cheek and my cheeks turned red.

"Aww.." my mom said happily and I was now resembling a tomato.

"Mom please" I said to avert this attention from me.

I was eating my food happily when suddenly I heard my brother asking,

"Jiju what's that on your neck?"

Startled Siddharth and I stopped eating and we saw Aarav pointing towards the area that I bit earlier. It was all red, slowly forming into a bruise and to my utter horror looked like a hickey!

I gave him a hickey!? Omg! Omg!

Siddharth touched that area and while smirking at me said "Oh it's nothing, just a wild kitten bit me earlier"

He just called me a kitten. Asshole.

Aarav looked confused but nodded his head while mom and dad were giving us knowing looks making me hide my face.

I then hurriedly excused myself and left for my room. I went to the bathroom and looked at myself in the mirror. My cheeks were red, eyes wide making me look a crazed woman. I washed my face to calm my racing heart and for my body temperature to be normal again.

After coming out of the washroom, I pulled my t-shirt off and was about to remove my pyjamas when I heard,

"Easy there darling, take it a bit slow I want to enjoy the show" I screamed and quickly picked up my t-shirt from the floor and held it in front of me, I saw him lying in my bed as if he owned the whole place.

"What are you doing here!?" I asked angrily while I was blushing to my roots. I turned my back to him and quickly wore my Tshirt again.

"Where else would I be? Where my wife sleeps I sleep" He answered smugly.

"Why are you even here?" I asked finally wanting to know the reason for him being here as I didn't wanna sound rude earlier.

"Seeing as your phone was switched off and you left the office without informing anyone and you were not at home, I knew you were here so I came here to take you with me"

"I am not coming with you. And since when did you start caring about me?"

"You have to come. And as for me caring about you I don't, but seeing as we are a perfect couple for the world I have to act like a loving husband and show some care for you. And Dad is coming for dinner tomorrow. If you wouldn't be home he'll get suspicious and I don't want that"

Hearing his explanation, all my hopes were shattered and with tears in my eyes I turned and went into the closet to change my clothes.

After changing I came outside and saw him sleeping on the bed, taking a pillow and blanket I moved towards the sofa and slept while crying softly.

He doesn't care and never will. Everything that happened was an act.
