"He didn't take her, did he?" I asked.
"I don't know who you are talking about, but Clarissa is alright. I needed you to open your eyes. How do you feel, are you alright?" Alexios asked in a concerned tone.
    "I'll be fine," I mumbled.
"You passed out. You were out for awhile," he spoke as of expecting an explanation, but I didn't have one. Something just didn't feel right. "How do you know you're alright? Does this happen often?"
"No," I spoke calmly. "But I'll be fine." I carefully removed his jacket from covering me and gave it back to him. I moved to a kneeling position and used the rail to pull myself to my feet.
A sickening tingly familiar feeling filled my body. I must have been drugged, that was the only explanation.
"Thank you for this, but I really am f-" I started as my body went limp and the room began to spin. His arms snaked around me and steadied me.
"M'am? When was the last time you ate anything?" The dispatcher asked over the speakerphone.
     "I don't know," I mumbled.
"When was the last time you had anything to drink?"
     "I'm not sure," I replied.
"Have you had any alcoholic beverages?" She asked.
"Just a small sip or two during toasts at dinner hours ago. I didn't even finish my glass," I slurred.

"Tabitha, are you okay?" He asked as I fell back against him. My whole body felt hot and freezing at the same time and my teeth began to chatter.
"I need you to think m'am did you drink or eat anything else that may have tasted off?" The dispatcher asked.
"The bar tender at the reception," I mumbled.
"What? Is he an ex or something?" Alexios retorted.
"While he was making my virgin strawberry daiquiri he told me my father sends his regards to his little girl on her big day. I thought he meant my step m-father. My biological father is dead. Someone must've," I rambled as my body began to grow weak again. I gripped the rail to steady myself as Alexios held me in place against him and lowered us to the ground.
"Sir, I've just been informed that the rescue team is working on restoring the functionality of the elevator and paramedics are standing by. Because of where you are stuck, they cannot pull you out at this time because if anything were to happen and the elevator starts moving again, you could be crushed. It sounds as if your wife may have been drugged. I am alerting the paramedics onsite. Are you able to open the emergency hatch at the top of the elevator?" She asked.
"Yes, one moment please," I felt him lay me down fully on the ground. He lifted my head up a bit and laid his coat over me. "I'll be right back," he spoke, kissing my forehead. I'm not sure if I imagined that or not.
He climbed up on the railings and used the position to ram his palms against the emergency hatch. Once it open, he flipped the top over so it remained open.
"Sir, the rescue team is going to lower down a bucket with some rope. In that bucket you will find some water, crackers, a blanket and a first aid kit. Please make sure your wife drinks as much water as possible, and that she eats some of the crackers," the dispatcher instructed. "Does she have any medication allergies?"
"Tabitha, do you have any medication allergies?" He asked me worriedly as he lowered myself back to the ground.
"I do," I replied. All the letters and words swirled in my head but I couldn't focus on them.
"What are they?" He asked me, pulling me up into his lap again.
"I can't remember. There's lots but they feel the same and far," I mumbled.
"You're not making any sense, Tabitha," he whispered stroking my hair. "We may not always get along but I will find who did this to you. I promise  you."
