Jung Kook bought flowers hours after getting married. He bought pink roses because they are his mom's favorites. He also bought cake on a nearby shop and a couple cans of beer. He decided to visit his mom before meeting his friends.

He parked his car next to the biggest tree in the cemetery and walked a few steps to reach his mom's grave.

He placed the flowers beside the tombstone before sitting on the grass.

"Hey, Ma. Sorry I was not able to visit sooner." He crossed his legs. "A lot happened. Dad died by the way. He committed suicide." He was pulling out some grass.

"But that's not the most important part. That mother fucker husband of yours made millions in the USA and he's leaving it all to me." He then dusted off his hands. "So long as I marry the girl indicated on his will."

He opened the box of cake and place it on the center. He took a can of beer and looked around if there is someone nearby. When he feels that it is safe, he opened it and have a quick sip.

"So I married her." He took a second sip. "Don't worry ma, Uncle Chris have it arranged so I don't have to see her. Part of dad's last will was that I have to stay married to her for 10 years before I get the full amount of her inheritance. But in case that she will divorce me first, I can get it in full."

"Mom, I intend to do two things: spend his money to waste and let the girl suffer!" He took a bite of the chocolate cake and another sip from the beer. "I will let her experience what we--what you had experienced all those years when Dad was not around! I will reject her and hate her with all my heart!" He spat out some of the cake because it tasted bitter.

"I will be back on your graduation." Those were his dad's last words. He waited by the door everyday for his arrival. But he never did. No calls, no letters, nothing. His mom would comfort him saying to trust his Dad but as day passed by, she got tired of waiting too. They cannot wait for him to come back.

It had been difficult for both of them. His mom worked four jobs: a sales agent every Monday through Wednesday, a fitness instructor from Thursday to Friday, a tutor during weekends and she would occasionally help her friend who runs a laundry shop for extra cash.

Jung Kook, on the other hand, became in charge of maintaing the house. He taught himself how to cook and wash clothes. He was mostly alone and just writes his thoughts. He wrote about all his bottled up feelings and his determination to be better. On the day of his graduation, his Dad never showed up. From that day on, he never relied on anyone but himself.

His mom's health deteriorated from exhaustion. Both physical and emotional. No one helped him accompany his mom through the chemo. On her deathbed, his mom held his hand, looked at her and told him, "You have made me the happiest person. I hope one day you'll find someone who will make you feel just the same." Even her tears weakly rolled down her cheeks before cancer took her away.

Jung Kook felt the world on his shoulder when his mom closed his eyes. It was the most heartbreaking thing for a 20 year old. But he did not cry. He placed her hand on her chest and kissed her forehead. He went to the kitchen and retrieved the knife. He made a slit across his wrist and lay beside his mom.

Heaven smells like rubbing alcohol. Those were his first thought when he regained consciousness. He opened his eyes and saw his Uncle Chris sleeping on the stool, arms crossed. That's when flood of tears started to fell. Now that he had lost both of his parents, he now felt alone.

Uncle Chris take care of him like he was his own. He and his wife lost their son in a hiking accident so they gladly took him in. All three of them who lost someone lived under the same roof, trying to ease the pain. But it will never be the same for he is not their son and they are not his parents. No one can replace someone.

Uncle Chris and Linda have been very supportive of Jung Kook. So Jung Kook tried his best to give the couple the fake perfect son. He was never in trouble in school, always on top of his class and always maintains organized. But this made him build a wall around him.

Jung Kook finished his beer before standing up to dust off his pants. "I miss you eomma, everyday. I wish you are here."

Jung Kook walked away from his mom's grave and without looking back, it started to rain.
