Dinner was great. Minji and Jung Kook had beef tenderloin with mashed potatoes and red wine. They just finished the main course and is now eating ice cream for dessert.

"You might have expected a candlelit dinner..." Jung Kook commented remembering that Minji put on her signature vanilla scent when they were eating a whille back.

"Pizza would have been fine." She answered. "The beef was delicious. You are ready for Gordon Ramsay." Jung Kook laughed and poured red wine on her glass.

"Don't drink too much, babe. We have work tomorrow." Red wine and ice cream isn't the best combination but Minji didn't mind thinking that Jung Kook and her was just alike.

For the first time, Minji dreaded hearing the word "work" wishing that it will never come because she wanted to spend more time with him. She enjoyed the weekend with him; their snuggling, kissing, playing on the bed, the sex was great but for her it was just an addition.

Minji stood and gathered the dishes to be washed but Jung Kook stopped her. "Babe, let's get that tomorrow, please? I want your attention."

"This won't take long. You have fed me for two days, this is the least that I can do." Minji rollled the sleeves of her pink T-shirt while Jung Kook was watching her as she scrub the plates. "You look good even in baggy clothes." He scopped another ice cream. She smiled at him and blew a flying kiss. "I want to wear something like this in the office if that's possible. I don't think my boss' boss would mind." She winked.

"Your boss' boss prefers you naked." He ate the last scoop of chocolate ice cream and walked towards the sink and place it among the unwashed dishes. He hugged her from behind and gathered some of her behind her right ear so he can rest his face on her shoulder. "You've made me so happy this weekend. I can't wait for the next one." Minji kissed him. "Me too. Why don't you take a shower now? I'll join you in bed after this."

"Is that your code word for I wanna have sex with you?" Jung Kook laughed.

"That's the code word for you smell like beef and sweat." Jung Kook kissed her cheek hard. "Okay, but I want us to shower together. So hurry up."

"Well, I wouldn't be able to finish  if you kept on throwing yourself at me." Minji laughed. "Have some respect for yourself, princess." Jung Kook pinched her waist and bit her shoulder. Minji kicked his foot.

"Get away from me now or no sex tonight." Jung Kook couldn't stop laughing. "No, mommy please...baby boy needs you." She just scoffed and Jung Kook left the kitchen.

Minji and Jung Kook were on bed in their pyjamas snuggling while watching a movie. Their fingers are intertwined and Minji's head was on his shoulder while Jung Kook's arms are wrapped around hers. She yawned and Jung Kook asked her if she is already sleepy but she shook her head.

"Movie's just boring for me." She confessed. Jung Kook turned it off. "Do you want to do something else?"

"None...You can turn it back on if you want to." She stretched her arms up. "I'll be on the couch. Let me read something."

"No, stay with me." Jung Kook gripped her waist and pulled her back in the bed when she was about to leave. "I told you I want your attention." She sat in front of him with her legs crossed. "What is your favorite food?"

"Pizza...anything with flour or made up of bread. What about you?" He asked back.

"I like Mac and cheese..." Minji suddenly remembers her mom and how she would prepare it for her. That was one of the things that they can afford back then.

They talked about random things and though Minji heard stories from Unlce Jung, Jung Kook's version of childhood events are funnier. She liked that he is opening up to him.

"Uhmm..did you ever..." Jung Kook scratched his ears. "like meet your real parents?" Minji almost froze and looked away.

"Sorry, babe" He held her hands and played with it. "You don't have to answer that."

"I've seen her pictures. She was lovely. She died giving birth to me." Minji lied. "Uhmmm...I didn't know who my father was....I heard he's in prison." That was the only truth in her sentence. Mary Grace told her that her dad might be in prison but she couldn't really confirm the story because they never talked about him much. Mary Grace for all she knows just lied as well because her father did not want the responsibility.

"What about you?" Minji asked. Jung Kook looked at her confused. "I...just noticed that you talked about your mom only." Minji felt her throat running dry seeing that Jung Kook's stare suddenly changed. He brushed his air and rubbed his thumb on Minji's palm. "My dad...I didn't know much about him either. Mom told me that he died when I was about 2 years old." Minji just nodded but her heart sank knowing that Jung Kook was lying. "He still can't forgive him. How can I tell you the truth?"

"If you can have one super power what would you like?" Minji changed the topic while thumb wrestling with Jung Kook's fingers.

"Uhmm...flight."She looked at him and smile. "Cool. why is that?"

"So I don't have to pay gas." They both laughed and Jung Kook squealed when she defeated Minji's thumb. They started thumb wrestling again. "What about you?"

"Uhmm.. I want to have the ability to time travel." She was wriggling her thumb around so that Jung Kook won't be able to press it down but he caught it easily.

"Why?" He asked while pressing her thumb down in defeat but Minji managed to get her thumb out of his grip.

"So that I can see my mom..." Jung Kook let go of her hands and pulled her in for a kiss.

"I'm really sorry.." He was caressing her hair.

"It wasn't your fault...thought it's nice to see her..thank her for bringing me to the world." She sat on his lap. "Would you like to meet your dad when I can time travel?" She asked.

Jung Kook pursed his lips. "Uhmm..maybe not." He stared into the TV and flashbacks of his father's memory came by. "Mom told me that he was not a good one."

"I would have loved to meet him still." Minji breathes deeply before resting her head back on Jung Kook's chest.

"So I can slap him for you..." Jung Kook chuckled and smacked her forehead. "You'd do that for me?"

Minji just nodded. There was silence between them. "What if...I'm...what if I am a different girl? Would you...even..." She paused for a minute trying to find the right words to say. "Like what if I'm not me, would you still like me?"

There was silence again. "Would you still be allergic to shrimp?" She laughed and nodded.

"Would you still be shy and blushing when I look at you?" He played with her fingers again and she nodded once more.

"Would you still be good in baking blueberry cheesecake? Would you still smell like vanilla? Would you still be good to me when I push you away? She looked up the ceiling before nodding.

"Then I would have liked you still." Minji's lips formed a smile and her heart started to beat faster. "Nothing you can do to make me not like you."

"Don't say that..."

"It's the truth!" Jung Kook gripped her waist. "You don't know how much I...I controlled myself for not liking you."

"When did you start liking me?" She asked.

He scrunched her nose. "Are you asking to boost your ego?" He chuckled.

"I'm asking to know if we have the same answer...I really like you during the interview." She confessed first.

"During your interview. I like how sensible and smart you were..."His fingers ran down his shoulders. "Plus, you are so beautiful. I wanted to ask more questions to know you better but the more you speak, the more I wanted to kiss you."

"So I aced the interview because you find me pretty?" She laughed.

"You passed the interview on your own. Had I known we'll end up like this, I would have swept you off your feet that time."

"and maybe I have prevented you from being engaged." He wanted to add that.

"What makes you think I would allow you to? She turned around to face him and smirked. "You are so full of yourself."

He moved his face closer to her. "Tell me you didn't find me attractive." His minty fresh breath sends shivers to her body instantly. Minji's face reddened and she tried to look away but Jung Kook squeezed her cheeks and tug it so that their eyes continuously met still. "I said tell me you didn't find me attractive."

Minji lowered her eyes down and Jung Kook let go of his grip. "I...You were extremely attractive." Jung Kook kissed her forehead. "It isn't hard being honest, right?" He smirked before he lay her down on her back and crawled over her.

"It is hard being honest, Jung Kook. Lie is the only reason why we are together right now."  Minji saddened as she stared into his eyes. He stretched her arms up and brush his hands over her to intertwine their fingers. Minji locked her hands with him when Jung Kook started to kiss her neck.

She left out a soft moan and started wishing that morning wouldn't come.

Morning did came for both of them eventually. Jung Kook's eye squinted when he was awakened by sounds of water coming from the shower. He sat on the side of the bed for a few seconds before he got up to turne the lights on. He checked his wristwatch on the sidetable. It's just 5:30 AM. He was about to leave the bedroom to prepare coffee but stopped when the bathroom door opened revealing Minji in cotton robe. A towel was scrunched on her hair. She went closer to him and kissed his cheek. "Good morning, babe"

He joined her and rested his head on her shoulder when she sat on the leather box seat. "I have to leave early. We can't risk having seen. See you at the office."Minji answered his question before he can even ask. She stood and Jung Kook's head fell on the box seat. "Do you want coffee?" She asked. He sat back up. "I want you back in bed cuddling me again."

"I want that too but it's my first day after training and I really want to impress my boss' boss." She chuckled  while getting a peach long sleeve dress out from the drawer. She removed her white cotton robe, showing her back to Jung Kook. His eyes wandered around her undergarments and curves. He pulled her before she can put on her dress.

"You already impressed your boss' boss." He kissed her back with water droplets rolling from her hair and began to unclasp her bra. Minji turned around and kneeled in front of him.

"I know you wanted me to do this." She pulled his pants down to reveal his erection and she began to stroke it gently. Jung Kook's fingers almost tore the leather of the box seat and moaned when he felt Minji's tongue wetting his tip. "Let's save the best for last." She then sank her pretty mouth into his.

Minji proceeded to the writer's lounge when she arrived at the office to spend time reading books. Jung Kook texted him that he will be on his way too. She was busy texting and suddenly bumped into Joey. She looked at him and tried to hide her laugh but couldn't. "Good morning." She stared at his rouge lips.

"Fuck off, you cheater. " His hands clenched into a fist.

"Yeah. Tell that to the marines." She walked a few steps further from him before she turned around and shouted. "Red looks good on you, sir!"

Joey sends his middle finger high in the air for her.

She went inside the writer's lounge to read books but when she sat down, she felt a bit sleepy. Jung Kook was texting her.

Jung Kook:
Where are you babe?

Minji:
Writer's lounge. saw Joey with red lips 🤣

Jung Kook:
At least he man up. Did he do anything to you?

Minji:
Threw a dirty finger at me.

Jung Kook:
How childish. What if I'm the one to dirty finger you?

Minji:
Mr. Jeon , Im in the office. 🙄

Jung Kook:
can still feel you around me.
I don't think I can last a week.

Minji:
There. Good for 1 week.

Minji sent a photo of her with her hair down to Jung Kook which she immediately saved in his phone.

Jung Kook:
I'll be driving now. See you babe

Minji and Jung Kook had been busy all day. She was given an easy one start of her shift: editing product review blogs that will be posted on the MC Enterprises' website. She edited seven blogs before lunch and submitted it to Jimin for approval. She also indicated notes recommending change of pictures for two entries.

Minji briefly looked at Jung Kook who never had the chance to get out of his glass cage. He was so immersed in his emails and heard him attending multiple meetings. She felt tired after editing but seeing Jung Kook working hard inspired her a lot. Jung Kook, who noticed her staring sends her a text.

Jung Kook:
Are you done with your tasks?

Minji:
I am. It's almost lunch.

Jung Kook:
Quit staring at me then

Minji:
Sorry, sir

Jung Kook:
I mean I can't focus if you look at me that way
Eat your lunch. I miss you

Minji:
We are just few feet away

Jung Kook:
I said I miss you

Minji:
I miss you too

Minji went out of the office to eat lunch with Chul, Nam-il and Chiku at the pantry. They were discussing about their first tasks and Nam-il asked her opinion about an article. She noticed that he and Chiku are both sharing a homemade lunch.

"Are you guys a couple now?" Chul asked the two before she can even ask.

Chiku lowered her head and blushed. "I just made a lot of kimchi to share..."

"You didn't give us any." Chul teased her. Minji kicked his foot.

Nam-il then took two spoonful of kimchi and placed it on Chul's plate and Minji's. "Be happy now. Don't bother my girl."

"Your girl?" Minji clarified looking at him and for the first time Nam-il blushed. "NamKu is real now?"

Nam-il covered Minji's mouth. "Noona, please don't. Chiku is shy now. She might not give me a yes."

"Don't give him a yes, Chiku." Minji blurted when Nam-il removed his hand. Chul left a hearty laugh.

"Eeehhh...what about you two? Are you guys a couple? Chul is from another team yet he's here." Nam-il commented with his eyes teasing.

"I haven't given her my yes, yet." They all laughed and Chul intertwined his fingers into Minji's. "Getting there."

"You two looked cute together," Chiku with her wide eyes gave support.

"If you only knew," Minji thought to herself.

Chul hadn't removed his fingers from Minji and the latter seemed to be unbothered by it. They continued with their meal unaware that Jung Kook and Jimin came to the pantry and noticed them holding hands.

"Hey guys, how are you?" Jimin approached them and asked.

"Good, boss" They answered in unison. Chul finally removed her hands from Minji when Jimin noticed.

"We'll go to the rooftop to smoke boss." Chul looked at him.

"We'll join you in a few if we can. We just got off from a meeting." Jimin turned to see Jung Kook but Jung Kook rolled his eyes at Minji.

The four of them left the table after they bid their goodbye to their leaders. Instead of going to the rooftop, they decided to went to the writer's lounge to relax for the remaining minutes of their lunch instead. Chul and Minji were telling stories that they can only understand while Chiku was reading a book. Nam-il secretly took a picture of the two laughing and send it to their GC.

Aera:
Is she no longer engaged?

Nam-il:
She still is. She was just having fun.

Aera:
Too much fun.

Minji felt bad about Aera's comment and worry how Jung Kook would react upon seeing it. She received a text notification after a few seconds.

Jung Kook:
Are you purposely trying to make me jealous?

Minji:
We were just laughing at something.

Jung Kook:
Why was he holding your hand earlier?

Minji:
We were just teasing Nam-il and Chiku.

Jung Kook:
I don't want you near him

Minji:
You can't do that. He's a friend.

Jung Kook:
Ok. Do what you want then

Minji:
Please, babe. Let's stop being like this.

Minji:
I miss you.

The four of them went back to the production floor. He received a notification from her office e-mail that her editing has been approved and will be posted 3 days from now which she almost jumped out of excitement. Jimin then assigned her to edit magazine articles about food which will be part of their December issue.

The article itself was error-free but to her it lacks emotions about food experience so she sent it back to the writer. After doing so, she quickly texted Jung Kook. She saw him pick his phone up to read the notification but did not reply. She just scoffed and went back to work.

The day went by pretty fast. She was productive and cheerful start of the day but ended up being uninterested because of Jung Kook. The writer who did the food article replied with a new write-up two minutes after their shift ended so she decided to stay behind to finish it.

"You don't have to." Jimin suggested. "It's not due until next week anyway."

"I know boss, but it's the only one left in my bucket. Besides, it's rush hour." Minji smiled at him and Jimin tapped his back. "Don't be too long."

Minji saw Jung Kook went out from his office but did not look at her so she just sighed and continued working.

It was already past 8 when she arrived home. She is hungry but has no energy and no apetite to eat anymore. She checked her phone one last time to see if Jung Kook responded and when she saw that he didn't, she went to the shower.

When she was done after 30 minutes, she checked her phone again to see if Jung Kook replied and when her phone notifications are not from him, she proceeded in drying herself and putting pyjamas. She laid on her bed and was about to sleep when her phone started to ring. It was Jung Kook who is requesting for a video chat. She declined the call first looking around if her background is a dead giveaway of something that Jung Kook would recognize. She stacked some pillows and sit up. Her phone rang the second time and she cleared her throat before answering it.

"Hey..."

"Why did you not answer the first time?" Jung Kook asked. He drank water and was walking to which she assumed was to the bedroom.

"I was putting my pyjamas on...how are you?"

"Why are you with Chul?" He blatantly asked while he lay sideways.

"Told you he's a friend..I don't hang out much when I was growing up so...it feels good that he, Nam-il and Chiku are with me."

"I don't hold hands with my friends."

"Why can't you just trust me that there's nothing going on between us?"

There was silence between them. "I don't like him as much as I like you...I don't see him that way." It was Minji.

"Well, he obviously likes you that way." Jung Kook looked at her with soft gaze.

"He doesn't. Believe me."

"How are you sure?" Jung Kook changed positions and is now lying on his back.

"Because...he likes someone...and he can't have that someone." Minji trying not to spill the beans about Chul's sexuality. "It's not my story to tell..."

"Kinda like I can't have you?" He brushed his hair.

"Kinda like he can't have that person because he's afraid he'll get rejected...ours is different. You have me."

"Just for the time being." He pursed his lips.

"Let's stop this." Minji's voice was stern.

"Your call. I
