"Jeon Jung Kook, I am your wife!"

Those were the words that wanted to escape Minji's lips but decided not to seeing him with another girl.

She was ready to see if Jung Kook will still have the same feelings after she confessed her fake life and all the lies that she had created. And if he still hates her, she is ready to file the divorce that he cannot do.

Uncle Jung told so much about Jung Kook that even without meeting him before felt like she is part of her life. She could've filed the divorce to save herself from the hatred that Jung Kook fired, but didn't. She stayed because of his promise to Uncle Jung.

She wanted for so long to alleviate Jung Kook's hatred towards his father and that is why she agreed to be married. Uncle Jung took care of her and her mother; he protected them and loved them like they were family. She planned to tell him gradually what happened, why his father cannot go home and why both their parents are dead but when Atty. Choi laid Jung Kook's decision not to see her, all the words that she memorized for him have gone dry.

"Athena, my boy is good." Uncle Jung would often say.

And she believed him up to this day. She believed in his goodness despite Jung Kook's behavior for both Athena and Minji. Falling in love with him is never part of her plan, but she did anyway, and now it is  clear as the sky that Jung Kook doesn't.

"So, this is what unrequited love feels like," Minji told herself. She's read about it on books and watched it on movies a lot of times already but little did she know that she'll experience it raw.

Nonetheless, even if he had left her crying and feeling used, Minji still believes that Uncle Jung's boy is good.

"Bye, baby...see you soon!" Hana unbuckled the seatbelt when the car stopped  and turned to Minji. "It was nice meeting you." She lightly bowed her head.

"You as well." Minji's lips formed a bitter-sweet smile.

"T-take care." Jung Kook was looking at the road instead. Hana tapped his arms and pouted. Jung Kook looked at her with confused look.

"Aren't you gonna kiss me?" Hana pouted again. Jung Kook glanced at Minji for a second. "C'mon...Minji's here." he gulped.

"Minji, you don't mind, right?" She teasingly asked her.

"No, not at all." Minji replied then looked away.

Jung Kook gave a deep sigh before he leaned forward to kiss Hana's forehead. Hana's pout became more pointed.

"Babe, on the lips." She crossed her arms. "Or I'm not gonna get out."

Jung Kook irked at Hana before he leaned forward again and give her a quick kiss. He whisphered on her ear. "The deal's off. Good luck with your ex."

"Get my ex crawling back into my arms or I'll mess with your girl. I slid my number in your pocket when you were in the shower." She whispered back. "She's so jealous right now, aren't you happy?" She bit his ear lobe.

"Babe, we can't do that here!! You're so naughty!" Hana shouted which caught Minji's attention. Hana pushed Jung Kook back and looked at Minji laughing. "Sorry, Minji...babe was saying naughty stuff." She turned to Jung Kook. "I'll go now...call me." She blew a kiss before she went out of the car.

Hana watched as Jung Kook's car sped away with a smirk plastered on her face. She called someone.

"Tell Eagle that it is done."

"There are no broken bones, your ankle should be better in a week." The doctor advised before he wrote a prescription.

"Drink this when your ankle hurts. Also lessen your salt intake. Buy an ankle compression support. That would help with the discomfort."

Minji thanked the doctor before she left his office. Jung Kook was waiting for him outside. They haven't spoken a word to each other since his girlfriend introduced herself.

"S..so is everything okay?" Jung Kook broke the silence.

They are walking to the pharmacy with Jung Kook beside her but unlike yesterday, he no longer clings to her. Everything is clear to Minji as to why.

"Yes, sir. He prescribed medicines and a compression for my ankle." Minji answered without looking at him.

"Would you like to get breakfast?" Jung Kook asked.

"Uh..promised Nam-il we'll grab coffee." Minji answered. She finally faced him. "Thank you for the offer, though."

Jung Kook no longer answered and just walked with her to the pharmacy. Minji was even quieter inside the car. Jung Kook knew she was hurt but he doesn't how to explain it to her.

He started the car and started driving. There was a bit of traffic but it's still early.

"About last night, lis--" Jung Kook commented while driving the car slowly.

"I enjoyed dinner too." Minji cut him off. "I'm glad you liked Tia Isabelle's food." Minji looked outside.

For some reason, Jung Kook doesn't know why he is feeling like his heart is being torn into pieces. Minji obviously is avoiding him and he hates it. He would like to hold her hand and tell her that Hana is a mess that he encountered but that story is unbelievable.

The journey to the office was quiet. He was about to turn right for parking but Minji asked him to stop the car.

"I'll get off here. I texted Nam-il to meet me at the cafe across the street."

"You're lying. You didn't touch your phone." Jung Kook thought to himself.

"What about your ankle?" He asked instead.

"Nam-il's with me. I'll be fine, sir." She unbuckled the seatbelt. She bowed her head one last time,

"Goodbye, Mr. Jeon"
