Jung Kook and the woman went out of the house. For the first time, he was anxious about his actions. He was worried that his wife might see the woman that he brought home. Not that he cared about how his wife would react but more of his integrity as a man.

He let the woman borrow a plaid shirt which he no longer uses as well as jogger pants which he had outgrown. They were driving to Minji's apartment first before he dropped the woman off and plans to introduce the woman as his cousin.

"I am going to fetch a colleague." Jung Kook cleared his voice. "Please introduce yourself as my cousin...she's important to me."

"Are we going to meet the woman you're tryin'to forget?" She asked while scrolling on her phone.

Jung Kook couldn't explain to a stranger that the woman she read on the file is the unknown wife he has no plans of meeting while Minji is the one captivating his heart.

"Stop being nosy, just please when you met her, we're cousins." Jung Kook looked at her for a moment. "And can you sit at the back?"

"No! What's in it for me?" She was collecting her hair into a bun. "You didn't even touch me when I badly wanted so...to forget my mother fucking ex!"

Jung Kook stopped the car and faced her. "Just help me with my story and...I'll make your ex-boyfriend suffer."

The woman's eyes glistened and smiled. "How do you plan to do that?"

He looked at her and smirked. "I am Jeon Jung Kook. I can make anyone suffer."

Minji cried all night long. She didn't understand why she was hurt when in reality, she doesn't have an inch of right to be. When Jung Kook confessed that he wanted her but had to let her go. She understood what that meant because she felt the same way towards him too.

She can't let him confuse his feelings for her. Also, she was afraid about the fact that if Jung Kook knows the truth between them, the fake life which she supported to live by just to follow him will all be for nothing because he will surely hate her.

"I will try to forget him" but when Jung Kook asked her if she can to pick her up, she thought that it was just Jung Kook's excuse so he can see her again and talked about what happened last night.

"He wanted to see me." Just the thought of that and Minji was like floating in the air and was eager to take the shower.

She heard voices outside her bedroom just when she is about to open the door. One is from Tia Isabelle and the other one is from a man. She peeked through the small gape when she turned the knob to see if Jung Kook was there. Her hands covered her mouth when she saw Tia Isabelle kissing Atty. Choi

Atty. Choi had been married to Linda for 25 years. When Minji arrived in Korea, it was Atty. Choi who picked her up from the airport. They talked over coffee and though she had never met Linda the way his eyes sparkled when he recalled memories about how they first met and eventually fell in love, made Minji green with envy.

So he couldn't understand why the man whom she respected is suddenly trapping the woman who took care of her in his arms. She would like to open the door and yell but couldn't find the heart to do so.

Minji waited for a few minutes before she opened the door and went to the table. Atty. Choi had already left and Tia Isabelle was washing dishes.

The chair scraped a sound when Minji pulled it out and sit on it. Tia Isabelle reached for two mugs and poured it with coffee. She placed the mugs on the table and Minji grabbed one and blew on it.

Tia Isabelle sat on the chair across hers, not touching the other mug.

"It was a cliche, how it started." She was looking at Minji while her arms are on the table, her fingers are crossed together. "I was his secretary, I guess 7 years ago. He hired me after I divorced."

Minji was just blowing her coffee and not looking at her. "My children preferred to be with their father and I...have no one, not until Cris came along."

"He was so good to me, so naturally, I fell in love." Tia Isabelle was pursing her lips but her eyes are still with Minji.

"He rented this place near his office so he can drop by everytime. This became our secret." Tia Isabelle continued.

"He told me one day that I would need to take care of a girl whom his bestfriend left under his care...I knew all about it Minji or should I say Athena?..I know about you and Jung Kook." Minji looked at her and saw tears roll down from Tia Isabelle's eyes.

"I know you didn't want to tell me to protect me, but in case that it has become too much already...I am here." Those words pierced Minji's heart and felt guilty that she was never there during those times that her Tia Isabelle was hurting.

Tia isabelle wiped her eyes and sipped coffee. "I always look forward to the day when he will finally say that he will choose me over Linda...but until now it's not happening. It feels good to be loved but I am just his sanctuary for his tired bones...I will never be his home."

Tia Isabelle's tears fell swiftly and Minji stood to hug her.

"I haven't told him that you and Jung Kook have met." her voice cracked. "Do you want to know if he loves you?"

Minji nodded while wiping the elder woman's eyes.

"Honey, just tell him the truth."

***********************************************************

Minji was waiting on the sidewalk for Jung Kook. Tia Isabelle accompanied her down but soon left to go to the market.

"I am going to tell him today." she told herself.

Jung Kook's car slowly pulled in and he went outside. He was wearing a black suit and a grey tie. His hair was brushed backward and he smelled like after shave when he went closer.

"Good morning" Jung Kook greeted her. "How's your leg?"

"Better." she replied smilingly.

Unlike yesterday, Jung Kook did not hold her waist. He wrapped his arms around her shoulders and was surprised when he opened the back seat instead. He helped her get in. She noticed a figure sitting on the passenger seat: a woman. Minji let out a deep sigh.

Jung Kook buckled his seat when he entered the car and turned to her. "Minji, please meet--"

"Hello! My name is Hana, I'm his girlfriend." The woman turned to her as well and gave her the prettiest smile. "You must be Angie" She extender her arms for a handshake.

"Minji" she corrected but took Hana's hand still.

She then ruffled Jung Kook's hair. "Sorry I am dressed like this...we were together last night." She winked at her.

"That's not h--"

Hana smacked his lips and looked at her again. Jung Kook's eyes widened. "S---sorry...I think I couldn't get enough of my baby boy." She was laughing while looking at her.

Minji smiled back and saw Jung Kook staring at her through the rear view mirror. She looked outside the window instead and remembered what her Tia Isabelle told her earlier.

"a sanctuary for his tired bones but never his home."

For once, she and her Tia Isabelle have something in common.

She was extremely hurt right now, but finally understood what Jung Kook meant and remembered the underwear that she saw in his pants. Though she tried not to, her eyes are beginning to swell. How can she be foolish enough to fall so easily?

She wanted to hate them when the girl reached out for his hands, but couldn't. The girl was telling a story and Jung Kook couldn't held his laugh. He seemed so happy.

Minji knew she couldn't give her that. Jung Kook was right, it's time to let go.
