The next day was really quiet. My mom stayed home all day but I barely came out of my room. I didn't really want to see her after the argument we had last night. Plus, I'd been planning in my head exactly how I wanted the date to go. It was all I could think about.

I got up from my bed. I had slept in really late. I walked over to the closet and opened my closet door. I looked through my shirts hung up in color coded order to try and find something Robin would like. It was fall and he said he would see me at 4 which is late afternoon so it'll probably start to get chilly by then.

I grabbed 5 shirts that I really liked, then 3 jackets I could wear too. I then walked over to my dresser and opened the drawers to look for some pants. I frustratedly glanced at all the pants I had owned, realizing I had nothing that made me feel super confident or pretty. I grabbed two pairs of jeans and two pairs of leggings for potential contestants.

I set all the clothes down on my bed and started trying on everything. One by one, I went through my options. My room had become a mess from how many clothes I've tried on. I decided to wear brown leggings, a white halter tank top and a white cropped zip up jacket. I took off the clothes and folded them, setting them on the top of my dresser. I started putting away all the clothes that were on my floor and without realizing it, it had gotten really late. It was 2:46am. By time I put all my clothes away, it was nearly 3:00. I groaned and turned off my lights, getting into bed. Good thing the date was later in the day and not early in the morning. I had some time to sleep in.

The sun rose and woke me up around 12:00. I usually woke up pretty early so waking up this late felt weird to me. I rolled out of bed (literally) and landed hard on the floor. I just stayed on the floor for a second. I was still really tired but I was excited for my date with Robin. I groaned and got up off the floor. I walked over to my dresser and grabbed my folded clothes. I got dressed and did my makeup. Even though I had previously told Robin I don't take long to get ready, I still wasn't ready by time the doorbell rang.

"Shit." I hopped on one foot as I tried to get my shoes on. I ended up falling on my face.

"Coming!" I yelled. I stumbled over to the door and opened it. Robin was standing with his hands behind his back. When I opened the door he was looking down at the ground but he quickly looked at me. He moved his hands into view, revealing a small bouquet of flowers. I stood for a second looking at the flowers. They were all so pretty. He handed them to me and I continued to stare at them in awe.

"They're beautiful Robin. Thank you." I said. I set the flowers down on the table closest to the door. Robin held his hand out for me and I took it, closing the door behind me as we walked away.

"So where are we going?" I asked, swinging our arms as we walked.

"You really don't understand the point of 'surprise' do you?" He said, laughing. I rolled my eyes and practically started pulling on him as we walked. After walking for a while, i started to notice more and more people walking the same direction as us. In the distance I could see an arch leading into somewhere. The closer I got, the better I could see what it was. The archway read 'PumpkinPatch'. I squealed in excitement and ran inside.

The smell of autumn and pumpkins filled the air. Robin walked in behind me and rested his hands in the pockets of his jeans.

"So, what do you wanna do first?" He asked. I looked around at all of our options.

"We're doing everything." I said. I grabbed his hand and led him over to a booth where a couple ladies were sitting. Mostly children where there but who cares.

"You want me to get my face painted?" He asked. I turned and smiled at him.

"Yep. And I know you'll do it." I said proudly. I sat down in a chair in front of one of the ladies.

"What would you like painted?" She asked sweetly. I looked up at robin and scrunched my nose. I know I'm gonna love seeing his face painted. The lady handed me a small booklet full of pictures. I looked through a couple pages so I could find one that Robin would like.

"That one please." I pointed to a picture of a spider web.

The face paint^^

"Alright." The lady started painting on my face and Robin stood in front of me, waiting for his turn.

"You know this is for children right?" He said with a smile. He wasn't really opposed to face paint, I could tell he was actually a bit excited.

"You were the one who brought me here." I shut back at him. It didn't take long for the lady to finish my face paint. She handed me a mirror and showed me her work. My jaw dropped.

"I love it! Thank you so much." I stood up and put my hands on robins shoulders, switched our places and pushed him down in the chair.

"He'll get the same thing." I said.

"Without the color." He protested. I stood and waited for his face paint to be done. The lady showed him the final result and he smiled at the mirror. It was actually really cute seeing him so happy.

"Thank you so much." He said standing up. He grabbed my hand and we walked away from the booth.

"See? Wasn't that fun." I said, leaning my head on his shoulder.

"I guess it's not 𝘵𝘩𝘢𝘵 bad." He admitted.

"It'd be better with the color." I scoffed. We walked around the corner to a haunted house.

"We have to do this when it gets darker." I said.

"You'll get scared. You hate scary shit." He said, squeezing my hand.

"We're still doing it later."
