We walked away from the haunted house and stood in line for the hay ride. The wait wasn't too long. Once the truck had come back, everyone started loading onto the ride. We ended up being the last ones on the ride, so we sat where we could probably fall out. Robin sat next to me, closer to the opening of the ride. It started everyone when the ride had started moving since we'd been sitting for a minute or two.

The ride was basically just around the whole pumpkin patch. The sun had started to set behind some houses and the wind blew colder through the air. The breeze made me shiver slightly. I folded my arms in attempt to make myself warmer. Robin wrapped his arms around me and pulled me into him.

"How are you not cold?" I asked. He was yet again, wearing one of his tank tops. He shrugged and rubbed up and down on my arms to warm me up. The ride drove past the field of pumpkins. It was so crowded and pretty loud too. We could see people walking through with wagons and strollers. Mothers and fathers with their children picked up large pumpkins and set them in their wagons. There was something so beautiful about the chaos.

The ride jerked to a stop and everyone stood up. Robin had jumped down from the truck and held both his arms up for me. Does he really think I'm about to JUMP down? I bent down just enough for me to put my hands on his shoulders. He grabbed my waist and gently pulled me down and set me on the ground.

"Where to next hermosa?" I took a look around at what we hadn't done yet. It had gotten dark enough to go to the haunted house. It would've been less scary when it was still bright out but where's the fun in that? I pulled Robin around the corner and to the Haunted house. He gave me a look.

"Are you sure?" I just smiled and nodded. We walked over to the entrance and walked inside. It didn't look big on the outside but it was huge on the inside. The first room of the house was absolutely horrifying. It was a living room. Furnished and everything. Of course it had to be all bloody and torn up though. There was a little girl sitting in a rocking chair in the corner of the room.

Fuck me.

She was holding an old broken baby doll, petting it's hair like some kinda fucking dog. I whispered to myself to try and make myself feel better but it was not working. The girl stood up and started at us. She just started screaming. Super loud by the way. As we walked past her, I was clinging onto Robin's arm.

We walked into the next room which looked like a murder scene. I screamed and jumped as a clown came up behind me. I buried my face in Robin. He was right. This was a horrible idea. We sped out of the room and came to a room that looked like an old alleyway. Realistically, it looked like a garage without a garage door. The floor was concrete and there was a broken car in the middle of the room. A zombie walked out from behind the car and started limping towards us.

"Nope. Nope. Nope." I practically forced Robin out of the room as fast as I could. I could hear him laughing slightly next to me but I could also feel his heart beating a thousand miles an hour. We walked out of the haunted house and just as I thought it was over, a man chased us with a chainsaw. How cliché.

I stood in horror for a minute, still clinging onto Robin.

"You should've listen to me." He said. I took a long, deep breath.

"I hate clowns." I spat out. He laughed at my comment and started walking so we wouldn't be standing in the middle of the crowd.

"Can we do something not scary now?" I asked.

"It was 𝘺𝘰𝘶𝘳 idea." We walked to the closest thing to us. It was an apple orchard. I didn't think pumpkin patches had apple orchards but it looked really cute. Definitely not horrifying.

"I love apple picking." I said, finally letting go of his arm and running out into the field of trees. I picked an apple from a tree.

"Serious question," Robin said behind me. He was holding a bag for us to put apples in. I turned to look at him in confusion.

"Red or green?" I smiled at his question and showed him the apple I had picked from the tree.

"Red. Always." I set the apple gently in the bag and started to pick more. I was always very careful about which apples I took. They needed to be perfect.

"Really? I prefer green." He said. I continued to put shiny red apples into the bag. I kissed his cheek and then moved to a different tree.

"You're weird." I said. I've never met a person who likes green apples. I sucked up to him though and ended up picking a couple green ones just for Robin. I carried our bag of apples out of the orchard so we could finally go look at some pumpkins. Robin was super picky about which pumpkins he wanted to get.

Just as I had expected, he took the biggest one he could find and I took a regular sized one. He was so extra. It was around 8:30 when we left the pumpkin patch. I felt bad since it was a long walk home and Robin was the one carrying the pumpkins. We finally got to his house and walked inside. His dad was sitting on the couch watching tv.

Robin set the pumpkins down on the kitchen counter and dramatically groaned. I set down our bag of apples and turned when I heard Robins dad ask us a question.

"You guys have fun?" I looked to Robin to hear his answer.

"Yeah it was a blast." He genuinely seemed like he enjoyed our date.

"Nice face paint." His dad joked. Robins smile dropped in annoyance and I held in my laugh.

"It would've been better with color." I teased for the second time. Robin walked over to a drawer in the kitchen and pulled out a couple huge knives. He also grabbed a couple pencils and pens, then set everything down on the table. He set my pumpkin down in front of me and handed me a pencil.

Pumpkin carving!
