At the top of the stairs the area is an open space which is set up as a large dining room. I spot dozens of people already gathered around the table.

Dominic turns his head slightly to me. "Go sit next to your brother, stay by his side the entire night." He says in a commanding tone, though he's quiet enough for only me to hear him.

I looked up at him confused but the look he was flashing me was not one that I wanted to question or go against. I nodded, rolling my eyes slightly as I walked away from him to find Max sitting near the head of the table.

Max smiles over at me as I sit down next to him. "You made it good. I'm sorry I had to leave so early." He tells me.

"It's ok. I could have been ready earlier though if you needed me to be." I tell him.

He shakes his head. "I had some business to take care of before I came." A waitress stops behind us and takes our drinks order, Max orders a coke and I order a sprite.

Max dives into conversation with the people around us, introducing me to everyone close enough to hear him.

Dominic takes a seat at the head of the table next to Max. The firm look on his face is plastered on so tightly that he almost seems like a completely different person to how he was in the car, amused at me being scared of his speeding.

I force myself to look away from Dominic as my mind begins to recall the way his eyes had looked at me when I was in my towel, or the way he'd looked at me when I was finished getting ready to come here. He had looked at me with such heat that I could easily mistake it for lust. But how could a man as gorgeous as him lust after someone like me?

He was attractive, and dangerous looking. His eyes made me feel like I was burning, and yet I found myself enjoying the burning feeling and never wanting him to take his eyes off me.

He's out of bounds though. I can't be lusting after him like this, he's my brother's best friend for God sakes. I can't. I need to stop thinking like this.

Dinner went by in a blur, I had cannelloni and there was a constant chatter around. It was polar opposites of the dinner I'd had with Max and Dominic last night. Everyone here seemed to be having a good time. As dinner was coming to an end I could hear the music being turned up down stairs, though the room seemed to be somewhat blocked off from hearing the full blast of it.

I grabbed Max's attention while he was between conversations. "Where's the bathroom?" I ask him quietly.

He nods his head over my shoulder. "Back down the stairs, directly opposite the stairs." He tells me. "Will you be ok on your own, or do you want me..."

"I'll be fine Max." I laugh and shake my head, it's just a trip to the bathroom.

I stand from the table and I feel Dominic's gaze on me as I excuse myself from the room and head down to the bathroom. Max was right, the bathroom was easy enough to find, but there was already a queue for it. I got to the end of the queue but it seemed to be moving fairly quickly so I didn't have to wait too long.

When it was my turn I entered the bathrooms and I was shocked to see most of the people coming in here were only in here to snort lines of cocaine off the counter tops. I scurried into one of the toilet stalls and quickly did my business. I took a moment to myself to gather my thoughts and pluck myself up before I exited the stall to wash my hands.

"Want a line?" One of the girls next to me offered, holding out a rolled up bill to me.

I hold up both my hands. "Oh no thank you." I tell her.

She shrugs her shoulder and continues to do her lines.

I quickly make my exit from the bathrooms and head back up the stairs to the dining room to find it empty apart from a few of the waitstaff who were cleaning up. "Oh sorry, I was here with the dinner party, I just popped down to the bathroom, do you know where they've gone?" I ask one of the waitresses.

She gives me a pitiful look. "Most of them have gone home, a few of them have taken up their regular booth down stairs." She guides me over to the wall of glass that overlooks the club which seems to be in full swing now and points me down to a booth where I see Max sitting, laughing with his work colleagues.

"Thank you." I tell her before heading back down the stairs.

Dominic stops me on the staircase as he comes back up it from the main level of the club. "There you are." Is that relief I sense in his tone? No it couldn't possibly be.

"Here I am."

"We're downstairs now." He tells me bluntly.

I nod. "One of the waitresses just told me."

"Was there a hold up in the bathroom?" He asks me as we walk side by side down the rest of the stairs.

I nod. "A bit of a line, quite the hot spot by the looks of it."

"Line?" He questions, though I feel there's another meaning behind his tone. "Did you..."

"God no."

"Good." He nods. He steps in front of me, taking lead as we weave our way through the swarming sea of bodies filling the club.

We finally manage to get to the booth where there are only six of the dinner guests sitting. I slide into the booth next to Max and Dominic closes me in by sitting next to me.

Max smiles over me and hands me a glass. "I ordered you another sprite." He has to lean into my ear for me to be able to hear him over this music.

"Thank you!" I tell him and take a sip before setting it down on the table.

I zone out as the men at the booth start talking about lord knows what, nothing that took an interest with me. I can't help but feel like I should have brought a book to read so that I wasn't sitting here doing nothing, but I suppose it is too dark in here to read.

"Hello boys." A tall blonde waltz's over to the booth, dressed in a very small black dress that left little to the imagination. She took a seat on Dominic's lap and her eyes spied on me. "Bianca." She shouts over the music as she hold her hand out to me.

I take her hand and give it a shake. "Ellie." I tell her, shouting equally as loud. How do people stand places like this? It's far too loud.

Dominic leans in and whispers something into her ear causing her to giggle.

I turn away from them and focus back on the rest of the group. Some of the men were doing shots. Max was in a debate over one of the girls out on the dance floor and I rolled my eyes at them all. I was beginning to wish I'd stayed in the apartment for the night, just a cozy night in.

"You look bored." A voice comes to my ear.

I look over at Dominic to see the blonde no longer on his lap but rather on the dance floor with one of the other men from the table. "Just not exactly my scene." I tell him.

He nods and he looks as if he understands. "I can take you home if you'd like?"

I shake my head. "I can wait until Max is ready to go, it's fine."

"I'm going home, would you like me to take you with me?" He says close to my ear, his hot breath against my neck.

I sigh and nod. "Thank you."
