Dominic meets me at the elevator with a thermos in hand. "Ready?" He smiles.

I nod. "Ready." I confirm.

The elevator dings open and we both step in. Dominic hands the thermos over to me. "Thought you could use something for the drive." He says almost shyly and I can see a faint hint of rosiness in his cheeks.

I stand up on my tip toes and kiss his cheek lightly. "Thank you." I whisper pulling away from him.

Dominic turns to face me fully. His hands grab my face roughly before smashing his lips into mine.

I giggle against his lips. "What was that for?" I ask as I pull out of the kiss.

Dominic smirks and shrugs. "Can't a guy just kiss his girl?"

"No no, by all means. Kiss me like that anytime." I smile and kiss him again lightly.

The elevator dings open in the parking level causing us to both pull out of the kiss.

We walk to the car in silence and I take a sip of the tea from the thermos Dominic had given me and a grin forms on my lips. Getting in the car I pull on my seatbelt and glance over at Dominic who's already watching me with a smile.

I flush under his gaze. "What?" I ask nervously.

He shakes his head and smiles. "Just appreciating the small things." He tells me cryptically.

Dominic starts up the car and pulls out onto the busy streets of Manhattan. As he's driving one of his burning hands comes to rest on my thigh.

I take several large sips of the delicious tea, placing my free hand on top of Dominic's earning a grin from him.

"You can change the music if you want. I'm not sure what you like to listen to." He tells me softly.

I focus on the quiet radio for a second, just listening, it's currently on the morning news segment. "No that's ok. I don't mind." I tell him. Most people don't get my taste in music, I certainly wasn't going to subject Dominic to it.

His hand squeezes my thigh lightly causing me to turn my head to look at him. "Ell, you can put on anything you'd like, I want you to feel comfortable." He tells me.

"I do, feel comfortable that is." I tell him with a confirming nod of my head.

He sighs and drops the subject.

The rest of the drive is filled with a comfortable silence between us, his warmth flowing through me from just the touch of his hand. Three quarters of an hour later Dominic is dropping me off outside the Cafe I can see Liam waiting outside for me.

"Have a good day." I tell Dominic softly.

Dominic leans over the middle console and grabs my face between his hands, his lips brush against mine softly before tenderly kissing me. "You too." He smiles as he settles back in his seat. "I'll see you later on, princess."

I climb out of the car with a massive smile on my face.

Liam seems to notice me and walks over to me. He smiles as he reaches me. "Hey."

"Hey." I smile back at him.

He nods his head to towards Dominic's car that's now speeding off. "So that's your boyfriend?"

"He's..." I trail off, not really knowing what I'd call Dominic. "It's complicated." I tell Liam truthfully.

He chuckles softly as if understanding. "Coffee then?" He offers a subject change, for which I am grateful.

Liam and I head into the busy Cafe. Liam gets a latte and a toasted sandwich, I get another tea and a blueberry muffin. We manage to find a small table near the back of the Cafe to sit down.

I don't know why but I feel a little awkward being alone with Liam. We'd never really spent time together. We've texted back and forth but now there's just an awkward energy between us.

"Do you miss England?" Liam asks after several minutes pass since we'd sat down.

I peel the wrapper off my muffin slowly and delicately. "Not overly. I miss the countryside, but I'm happy to be here and happy to have the opportunity for all this." I say.

Liam nods. "Are you planning on moving back after graduation?"

"No, I don't think so. Though I haven't really thought too much about it." I tell him honestly.

"What are your plans after graduation then?"

I give a small shrug. "I've always wanted to be am author. I thought going into publishing would be good, but everyone seems to be doing that these days so I'm not sure how much of a need for another publicist there would be." I look up at him from my muffin to see him fiddling nervously with his coffee cup. "How about you, what are your plans?" I ask kindly.

"I want to be an English teacher. I always loved studying English in school, I still do, and I want to continue that for the next generations who love English as much as I do." The way he speaks about this, he sounds so passionate, so in love with the idea he's planned out for his life.

I smile at him. "That's really cool." I tell him.

Liam returns my smile.

We finish off our drinks and food before we make our way towards the orientation. We continue making small talk, and slowly it gets easier and less awkward to talk to Liam.

Orientation was filled with heaps of information about the university, most of which I had already found out on my own when doing my prep for today.

After orientation ended Liam and I wandered to get a lay of the land to see where our classes would be.

I was taking a total of four classes this semester, three of which were with Liam. So at least I knew who I'd be sitting with for three of my classes.

I'm not overly good at making friends, but it's nice to know I have at least one here.
