Skylar's POV

I feel so much better now. It's been a couple of weeks, and I'm really like a new person now. All those negative thoughts are still in my head and they appear in the most unexpected moments, but I see progress. I eat more, there are definitely less sleepless nights, and me and Ace...it's just perfect between the two of us. I finally moved in with him! Laura didn't really want me to go but I promised that we would see each other often.

When it comes to Mr. Thomson... I told Ace. He was furious, but fortunately didn't do anything stupid. He made a phonecall and said that he took care of it so I could go back to my uni. I was quite sceptic and wondered what happened to my teacher, but I think I don't want to know. Besides, Ace sweared that he didn't hurt him, although he wished he had, and that's enough for me. Despite all the things Mr. Thomson did, I don't want anyone to get hurt.

- So for how long will you be gone?
Lena asked.

I called her and Olivia, and we were talking now.

"I don't know, a few days." I replied while packing my clothes to the suitcase.

Today we are flying to Italy, on Ace's cusin's weeding. I'm so freaking enthusiastic, but at the same time agitated. I hope that I won't do anything stupid and that...they will simply like me.

- Jesus, I wish I could go with you...

"Yeah" I sighed.

- But you don't seem to be very excited about that?

Liv said.

"Noo, I am, but...I do hope that I will not blow the gaff. There will be his grandparents and cousins...his whole family. I would really like to make a good impression." I said and put the last piece of clothing to my suitcase.

- Sky, don't worry. It will be great, I'm telling you. Now, have you already packed everything?

"I guess so." I put my hands on my hips and scanned the room to see if I forgot about something.

- Good. When will Ace be back?

Just as I was about to answer, I suddenly heard the front door open.

"He's just come back home."

- Okay, so we will not bother you anymore, go to him and have fun guys!
Lena said but then Liv added

-Of course not too much fun, we don't want to be aunts very soon.

"Jesus, you two and your comments." I rolled my eyes but smiled anyway.

When we finished the call, I put my phone on the shelve and squatted down to zip up my suitcase. Suddenly, Ace walked in and I looked up at him, smiling.

"Hi, baby. Have you packed your suitcase yet?"

He just came back from work so he was wearing a black, elegant suit and white shirt. I don't know what it is, but there's something hot about men in suits. I got up and Ace walked over to me. He wrapped his arms around my waist pulling me to his chest, and kissed me on the lips.

"Yeah, I think so." I smiled and tucked my hair behind my ear, scanning the room one more time.

"I really can't wait to show you Italy."

I turned my head towards him and I was greeted by the huge grin on his face. I giggled.

He always looks so cute when he is excited about something. His eyes twinkled and those heart-stoping dimples of his appear on his cheeks. Ace was staring down at me, and I couldn't help but admire his perfect face.

"I can't wait either." I cupped his cheeks and placed a soft kiss on his red lips.

We had still some time to eat lunch before our flight, and then we left Ace's flat. Well, I should rather say 'our flat' now, since I leave here with him as well. When we managed to the airport, a very huge, and very fancy private jet was already waiting for us.

Of course, we couldn't have simply flown in a regural plane... Sometimes I forget how rich Ace actually is.

He has never made me feel like I'm worse than him, or poorer or something, but there are those moments when I wish I was wealthy too. Ace wouldn't have to pay for everything, or I could buy him expensive things like he does for me. I wish I could surprise him and say that I'm taking him to the different country for a couple of days. I would shower him with presents and simply show him that he means a lot to me. I'm sure that he knows that already, but still.

These days, everyone claims that a man has to have plenty of money, because if he doesn't, he is not a real man, and he can't provide for his family. It must be such a pressure for them. They are taught to be tough and don't display their true emotions. They don't get conpliments often too. I reckon than women should show their men that they are important too and appreciated. Show them that it's okay if things are getting a little too overwhelming and all they want is someone who will simply hug them and wipe the tears off their faces.

When we got on the board, I was staring at everything inside, with literally my jaw on the floor. Ace laughed at me a few times, but hey! It was my first time flying in a private jet. Maybe for him that's a totally normal thing, but not for me. I was admiring the sky and clouds during the whole flight, while Ace was typing some emails connected with work. Because of that whole situation with Elle, he neglected his business, and he works even harder now.

When a flight attendant told us that we would land in a few minutes, I felt that strange feeling in my stomach. I was really stressed. The fact that Ace will be there with me helps a lot and calms me down a bit, but my inner self was freaking out in that moment. But I think many people are nervous before meeting your partner's family for the first time, right?

I was staring out the window, trying to relax, and then I felt Ace's hand on my cheek, turning my face towards him. He pecked my nose, then my cheek, then my forehead, making me giggle.

"Everything will be great, amore. I promise you." He casted me a warm smile and I nodded.

When we were sitting in the car, I couldn't help but marvel over every tree, every house, and every little thing we passed by. Italy was absolutely incredible. The sun was shinning, the people here were walking with their friends laughing and smiling, and I could feel that positive vibe in them and in this whole place.

Finally, we arrived. The house was enormous! All white, there was a huge forecourt, and a beautiful garden with plenty of trees and flowers in it. After getting out of the car, Ace grabbed my hand and we started walking. We were waiting for someone to open the door, and I thought that my heart would jump out of my chest. It was beating so damn fast.

After a few seconds, the door flew open and in front of me was standing a beautiful woman. She had a brown, slightly curly hair, and her eyes were green like grass. She was wearing a blue, summer dress and was grinning at us warmly.

"Ace! Oh my God!" She scream ed, running into Ace's arms. "It's been so long. I'm glad that you've made it."

Ace chuckled and put her down. "Yeah, me too. Please, meet Skylar. My girlfriend."

He said that so proudly and casted me his cocky smile. I wanted to roll my eyes but I held back.

"Hi!" She pulled me into a really tight hug and when she pulled away, she said "I'm Sofia."

"Skylar. But...you already know that." I let out a nervous laugh.

"Come on in!"

We entered the house and the inside was even better. Everything was so beautiful, so shiny that I was afraid of staining or ruining something. We were walking along not so long coridor until we reached the living room. Not to mention about the small detail that his whole family was sitting there. They all turned their heads towards us, making me a little pressurised.

Everyone got up and came up to Ace, hugging him and giving him kisses on his forehead, cheeks and generally everywhere.

"Is it...it's her, isn't it?" A blondehaired girl said on my right and everyone went silent and were staring at me.

God...I hate those kind of situations. I bit on my bottom lip and lowered my head slightly, trying to hide my blushes behind my hair. I felt someone's arm wrap around my waist and I knew it was Ace.

"This is Skylar. Sky, meet my annoying family." He said, making them all laugh. "This is Sofia. You've met her already. It's her weeding that we've came here to. Here is Antonio, her fiancé."

Ace pointed at a very tall men beside Sofia. He looked exactly like someone from here. Dark hair, dark complexion, he was wearing a black t-shirt and I could see that he must like working out like Ace. We shook hands.

"Not for long, though." Antonio said and winked at Sofia, making her roll her eyes but giggle anyway.

"Here, is my cousin Stefano and his wife Chiara."

We turned around towards another couple. Stefano looked...well the same as Antonio or Ace, a typical Italian man, but Chiara was a very petite girl with blonde hair.

"On your right, is Francesca, mother of Sofia and Stefano. My aunt."

I looked at her and she did the same, showing me her sweet smile.

"And last but not least, Skylar, meet my grandparents. Greta and Alberto."

We turned our faces towards them and they were such lovely persons. Their hair were gray already, and they both were dressed in a elegant way.

God, if I don't get someone's name wrong, it will be great

They all gave me a plenty of hugs and told me how happy they are that we could finally meet.

Boys went to the living room, while girls went to the kitchen to prepare something. Sofia grabbed my hand and told me to come with them, and I did that.

"So, you like it here, in Italy?" Chiara asked.

"It's great! I haven't seen much but I can already tell that it's beautiful here." I offered them a smile.

Suddenly, a little, cute boy entered the kitchen and wrapped his arms around Chiara's leg.

"Mommy, Rosa has woken up."

She lifted him up and left the kitchen, excusing herself.

"It's her and Stefano's son, and Rosa is their daughter." Sofia explained and I nodded.

They asked me to cut the tomatoes, and as I was doing that, I felt two strong arms wrapped around my body. I instantly recognised Ace's cologne, and smiled. He nuzzled his face into the crook of my neck and placed a soft kiss on my skin, making me close my eyes for a second. It was such a little thing but what can I say...that's the effect he has on me.

"No making out when we are around!" Sofia screamed and I felt blush creeping up to my cheeks again.

"Finish it already. I want my woman back." Ace groaned and kissed my shoulder one more time before he left the kitchen.

I couldn't take this stupid grin off my face. It's a really good feeling when someone feels comfortable around you, they are not afraid or embarrassed to show their true feelings in front of other people, and they make sure that you know you're loved.

I saw from the corner of my eye that someone was standing on my left so I looked at them only to see Sofia and Chiara, this time with a little baby in her arms, leaning against the kitchen counter and smiling like fools.

"W-what?" I laughed nervously.

"Damn, I never thought I would get to see Ace so whipped!" Chiara said, making all of us laugh. "Seriously, I've never seen him like that before, not even with.." She paused hesitantly but I finished for her saying 'Elle'.

We talked for a while and I could already tell that they both are great. I wish Lena, Laura and Liv could meet them some day. We finished preparing food in the kitchen and we started going in the direction of the living room where the rest was sitting.

"Oh! Wine." Sofia said and gave me the bowl she was carrying so she could go back to the kitchen and bring some wine "Do you want as well?"
She asked facing me and I shook my head.

"No, no, thank you."

I said that so hurriedly that maybe that was the reason why she glanced at me suspiciously. She grabbed my both arms and squealed "Are you..No! You're pregnant, aren't you?!"

I was stunned. She surprised me with this question and I just stood there with my eyes wide open. I looked at the others and saw that Ace had started choking. Once he calmed down, he looked at me visibly surprised.

"Uh w-what? No. No. I just don't really drink, that's all." was my nervous reply.

Jesus, it was so awkward. Everyone was glaring in my direction what made my face become red as a tomatoe. But what was Ace's reaction about? I thought he wanted to have children with me one day. He said so himself. Did he change his mind? Maybe he was just surprised, that's all.

When everyone seemed to forget about that pregnancy thing, they started talking and reminiscing about old times. Ace was laughing so hard sometimes that I couldn't help but stare at him. He looked really happy. Italy is his place. This is where he belongs to, and then I thought. Would he like to move here? I would be willing to do that if he wanted to. I mean, it would be a very serious decision, and...hard. I would have to leave my friends, my family, and my whole live after all. But if it was something that he wanted...

Suddenly, I heard a very soothing voice coming from the left.

"È molto bella."

(She is very beautiful.)

I turned my head and saw Ace and his grandmother looking at me tenderly.

"Sì, lo è. Non ho mai amato qualcuno come amo lei, nonna." Ace was glaring down at me, casting me that dazzling smile of his.

(Yeah, she is. I've never loved someone as much as I love her, grandma.)

I had absolutely no fucking clue what they were talking about but their gazes made my whole face become hot again. They all have to stop making me blush. Ace placed a soft kiss on my temple and put his arm around my shoulder. His chest shaking from laughter. Well, that's good to know that at least one of us is having fun. I hate it that I can blush so easly.

The atmosphere was so much better later. I felt more included while conversing, and I was laughing with all of them. They were telling some funny stories about Ace from his childhood, which sometimes made him laugh as well but most of the time he was angry that they were humiliating him in front of me. Such a child, I'm telling you.

After a while I became sleepy, and started yawning like crazy. I tried to prevent myself from doing that but my eyelids were getting heavier and heavier. I put my head on Ace's chest and I felt him shift a bit. He put his hand on my cheek, running his thumb up and down, and brought his lips to my ear.

"Come on, baby. We're going sleeping."

I nodded my head tiredly and we stood up from the couch.

"Okay, guys. We're going to my place. We will meet you tomorrow." Ace stated.

"Noo, stay here. This house is huge! It will accommodate all of us." Sofia pleaded and we decided to stay.

We said a 'goodnight' to everyone and headed upstairs. I was so tired. My classes began early today, then I had to run some errands, pack everything and then this trip to Italy. I was exhausted. I was literally dead on my feet.

I showered and changed into my new, black, satin nightdress which I bought with Laura. She made me buy many things to be honest. Mainly underwear.

Obviously

I just thought that maybe...it would come in handy. We are in freaking Italy after all, and it's like holidays. I certainly won't be using it today because my all muscles were aching from tiredness, though.

I left the bathroom and saw Ace sitting on the bed, shirtless, and with a laptop on his legs. He was typing something frantically. I swiftly went under the covers, lying beside him. I put my hands under my left cheek and glanced up at him.

"You work too much, Ace." I mumbled, closing my eyes.

I felt Ace place a kiss on the top of my head before saying "Just a few more minutes. Go to sleep, baby."

He didn't have to say that twice. I felt asleep immediately, feeling his warm body next to mine.
